There was another Publix that was a shorter walk (13 minutes vs 17 minutes) but I've been to this location before so was familiar with the store. Helpful employees, clean store, relaxed and unhectic,, and plenty of gluten free options. Saw some things here that other Publix don't have and vice versa. The frozen mussels looked like a good deal but didn't want to chance it. Might try it next time. read more

This use to be a Publix greenwise but no longer carrys the "greenwise" brand now it's a regular Publix but with a 'Pours' a new concept by Publix that offers beer, smoothies and acai bowls. This Publix is very nice inside and very clean but it is rather small then an average store. Very nice store with the same concept as other stores just not as many aisle or selection but great for those living in the downtown Tampa Bay area. This was my first visit and the service is here just like all other Publix. When I visit Tampa again I will stop by this store , it is very unique and has apartments above the store. read more

Got a Publix GreenWise sub today and chose the jerk turkey. The turkey had a slow-building heat with a hint of sweetness that made each bite super flavorful without being too spicy. The veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the classic Publix sub roll held everything together perfectly. I added cheese and a light spread, and the balance of flavors was on point. Then I sat down area called pours it was nice to sit down and enjoy a meal . 10/10 Publix never disappoints! read more

Smaller Greenwise in Channelside. I'm happy that this Greenwise Publix opened here. It's close to my parents' home, and they have their own parking garage. It makes life easier for them. Greenwise Publixes do not have the full offerings of the standard Publix stores, for example, I couldn't find La Segunda Cuban bread (or the significantly worse Casino Cuban bread). There was the Publix bakery's version of Cuban bread, but it's not the same. However, if you aren't looking for staples like Cuban bread, going to a Greenwise Publix is fun, and this location, while small, hits most of the big hits. Lots of pretty produce, not all organic, with the same Publix deals and sales. When you find a Publix BOGO, it's usually a good deal. The parking garage says that you need a validation, or they'll charge you $50. However, the employee told me that it's only if you park for a long time. For a quick grocery store visit, the parking is free, no need to go through the cashier check out to get a validation. I was probably in my parking space for 20 minutes, and the machine let me out without a validation. read more

Love Publix. This location is no longer a Greenwise, I'm not sure of the official date this changed. I got some popcorn chicken and a prime drink. It was my first time trying both and I wasn't disappointed. The service and friendliness of staff in Publix is the best. There is always a team member greeting you in a friendly manner which is so hospitable! I love the ambiance especially at night with the Christmas lights. Greenwise is one of my favorite grocery stores in Tampa. As a student, it's really nice to have access to healthy, fresh groceries in downtown Tampa. Greenwise can be a little pricey, but they have great sales and their prepared food pricing is very reasonable. They do $5 sushi on Wednesdays that's great for a quick lunch. I'm always on the lookout for sales on their pub subs. I love their cafe; my favorite items are the pumpkin spice latte in the fall and their acai bowls year-round. The acai bowls come with certain toppings which you can opt in/out of (e.g., bananas, honey) AND they come with 3 fruit toppings of your choice. I also really love their cafe con leches which are super cheap compared to other cafes! I would definitely recommend signing up for a rewards account with Greenwise as you'll get special coupons and a birthday reward (free acai bowl or beverage from the cafe). Everyone is always super friendly and the store itself is gorgeous!! Very modern and aesthetically pleasing. read more

This is a cute little Publix across from Amalie Arena and the Tampa Edition. I stopped in because I was able to buy a box of wine for what I would have to pay for one drink at the Tampa Edition hotel bar. They had a large variety of produce for the size of the store. They had a nice deli counter with fresh sushi. They had a good selection of wine, but it was only two small aisles. I guess this is a standard size for a grocery store in a downtown area. It's great for tourists, especially people about to get onto a cruise and forgot something. It's also the best option for locals that live in the nearby condos. read more

Once again another wasted trip to the deli. It's sad I live in harbour island and have to drive to other stores to shop. Your deli counter is continuously poorly staffed and I can never be helped. And after I wait 10 mins for someone to recognize me asking if I checked the pre sliced case already is poor customer service. The answer is YES I would have done anything to avoid wasting my time. Whew! This Publix Greenwise Market takes "Where Shopping is a Pleasure" to the next level! The aesthetic of this store is amazing, with high ceilings and a fresh, trendy logo outside. There is a parking garage with elevators for easy access. The shopping cart selection was phenomenal, with standard carts, small two level carts, small carts for the little ones to push, and even carts for special needs children! The staff was welcoming and friendly, everyone stopped to greet me on my way through the store. There are so many options for made to order food! Pizza, pasta, sushi, ramen, tacos, açaí bowls, sandwiches all custom made to your order, and a phenomenal salad and soup bar with by the pound prices. There was also a huge cooler with n assortment of freshly made grab and go entrees. There is a special area with gourmet cheeses, wines and even caviar. The cherry on top was the BAR(!!) with beer and wine selections at reasonable prices with friendly and knowledgeable staff pouring your drinks. The wine selection in the aisles was wonderful, but there were no chilled white wine options, and their wine chiller was out of order. I loved visiting this store and can't wait until I visit Downtown Tampa so that I can experience the Publix GWM again!! read more

This Greenwise was such a pleasant experience! One of the cleanest grocery stores I've been to with such a large variety of produce and food options. I came here recently to check out the meat and seafood selection for dinner. The staff was super nice with helping us pick out cuts, and I loved the quality of the steak cuts they had. The shrimp might have also been the LARGEST shrimp I've ever seen, super juicy and plump. This visit, we picked up a steak and some scallops for a surf and turf dinner and they were so fresh and flavorful. Great experience and good quality produce. read more

Recently moving to the area, there were a few things I looked via maps to see if they were in the area at all and if they were, how far away would they be. When I originally searched for a GreenWise, I didn't see one that close, but I happened to check and see this location in Tampa and was more than happy to drive over. Mind you, they have been in Tampa since 2019 so that's what I get for not using Yelp to search. To get into GreenWise you need to park in the lot unless you live within walking distance. The lot makes you take a ticket, but don't fret, the parking is free for the first two hours. What I love about GreenWise is they have so many options for someone like me who doesn't really love cooking, or the act of cooking for one. GreenWise has a hoagie station, sushi station much like a typical Publix, but they also have a bowl area where you can create a, well, bowl! You can get a whole pizza or one by the slice. They have a chicken wing and salad bar. Of course you can get that delicious rotisserie chicken that Publix is known for, but it's going to be organic a little more expensive. GreenWise carries more natural, organic and "healthier" items. This GreenWise might be a little bigger than the one I used to go to, but just as clean and the staff was just as friendly. It's so brightly lit too. Nice clean lighting, not that kind of dingy yellow light in typical stores. They also have their "Pours" station where you can get teas (I love their peach tea), coffees, smoothies, beer and wine. They've got a nice bar seating area as well as tables for you to grab you meal and have a nice cold beverage to wash it down with. For whatever reason, I woke up on a Sunday morning and felt compelled to visit a GreenWise. I was spending time in Channelside so decided to check out this one as I'd never been before! I could spend too much time in grocery stores enjoying myself, so checking out new ones is kind of...fun to me, as lame as that sounds. This GreenWise is beautiful - beyond aesthetically pleasing. I had some trouble finding the parking garage and it's never fun to be driving in circles in a busy downtown, but we made it. I expected higher priced items and mostly Organic, but I was SHOCKED to walk in and see honey crisp apples for $5.99 / lb. $6 DOLLARS!!!!! I chose a few other apples, before realizing the non-organic apples were further along the path. I got duped, haha. The rest of the shop was normal and seamless, and I really enjoyed the make your own nut butters and trail mix area! They even have the ability to fill a container with different oils, so cool! There's also a spot where you can get drinks/food while you're shopping. The whole place was clean and just so cool. I guess I can't complain too much about prices since I chose to visit a GreenWise. Personally I don't see myself coming back unless I'm in that area needing something quick! read more

This might be the most aesthetically pleasing grocery store... ever??? It's a really unique cross between a Publix, Sprouts, and Whole Foods. This location is located in Channelside which can make it a pain to get to during high traffic times at Amalie or Sparkman Wharf, but luckily there's a designated parking garage with 2 hours of free parking. The garage scans your license plate as well as gives you a physical ticket, which is helpful if you accidentally lose your ticket. The Greenwise has a pour bar, which includes beers, wine, and various cafe beverages. The prices are REALLY good, and they discourage tipping (instead, they want you to shop around)! There's also a salad bar, deli (of course), small bakery section, pasta, pizza, sushi, ramen, and burrito bowls! The prices for the prepared foods/made to order foods are reasonable and the food is decent. There are quite a few tables near the pour bar to hang out for a while. Everything is suuuuper aesthetic and modern. The sales sheet gets a 10/10 from me in terms of quality and design. The bathrooms are really clean as well, with really modern technology (go wash your hands in the sink and you'll see what I mean). Now for the prices. This is an expensive grocery store. Think Whole Foods prices... however, if you sign up for rewards, you'll get occasional discounts like 10% off or $5 off a $10 order just for signing up. Selections are a lot more limited than a traditional grocery store and I assume they are more known for their speciality items. There's no pharmacy here, and very limited household items. So, I think this is a place to come to search for good deals and grab a bevvy/lunch, but I would not do any big grocery hauls here. Honestly, this place is just a vibe. read more

Publix Greenwise in downtown Tampa is amazing. Loud music playing and everyone is friendly. Today, Greenwise is having a wine and food sampling. In the store, there was stations set up with red wine and chocolate truffle cake. Kim Crawford citrus wine paired with shrimp cocktail. Boar's Head had charcuterie set up. While waiting for the Boar's Head sampling, the cheese department was giving out cracker, cheese with blueberries and drizzle honey. So good. I got some mild Buffalo Chicken wings and Garlic Parmesan wings.....very tasty. There is an area to eat inside the store or you can eat out on the patio. Also, I like the promotions and games going in the store. Good store and location. read more

Pure ridiculousness. Took a colleague to Waters St and parked at Greenwise. Planned to grab pizza and then some english muffins so we walked around and saw the Pearl - looked quiet so we ended up grabbing a meal and talking business. Walked into Greenwise after for english muffins and couldn't find any bread. Asked a store rep wearing a Publix sweatshirt and she responded that she did not know where the bread was as they are remodeling. No further help other than an awkward smile like saying "i work here but i don't care". Looking around there's some fancy construction that also screamed "we thought we'd make lots of money at this location but the concept isn't working so we're gonna make it a regular store" So, walked each little aisle which looked more like an organic juice complex and stumbled across a small shelf with a loaf or two of baked bread but no regular Wonderbread-like bread or english muffins. I love english muffins. Those little flavor pockets hold the melted butter for a delectable breakfast treat. Anywho, a plastic container with 8 micro blueberry muffins for $6.75 caught my eye. Seems like something I can quickly snarf down with coffee so purchased them - didn't want to feel guilty of not purchasing at least something from the Greenwise. Upon the high-tech parking garage exit (felt kinda like a prison or Fort Knox exit how it scans your plate, etc), scanned ticket and the parking total was $50. FIFTY DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!! That could have netted 120 BoGo english muffins (10 packages, 6 muffins each) X 2 If there would have been an option to donate the $50 to the crew of homeless on that block, i would have happily done so while feeling good from the cheers. Apparently we spent a wee bit too much time on Thursday evening enjoying the jalapeno bread at the Pearl with that local honey and butter. A second longer than 2 hours and you are screwed here. No events going on. 50 parking spaces were open. Guess something has to pay the rent since the Greenwise concept isn't. What a waste of time and money - yay Waters St. Greed will be your demise. I would've bought it except I was doing the Riverwalk with a friend, so carrying it outside in the hot & humid weather def. would've caused them to wilt & passed. -BOGO are a decent deal, especially for Organic strawberries. Doing a careful analysis leads me to believe certain items can be bought at a discount that is considered acceptable, but then again the basil I bought was def. expensive cause you can get 2 for $5 from Trader Joe's vs. spending $4.5 on just one plant. However, it is a very healthy basil that we used along with pre-made dough from a reg. I was enjoying the free ride on the local trolley and we passed this store. I have never heard of green wise before so on the trolley ride back I had to stop in. I also needed some water. Apparently, it is a Publix brand. It's a nice form of a urban supermarket that has just enough but not too much. It has a great wine selection, cheese bar, Buffay, and even a little bar with beer wine and other drinks. What a great shopping experience! This newly opened Publix GreenWise is a fabulous urban grocery store with plenty of made-in-Florida options. The staff was friendly and helped me find some new delicacies. The organic options abound and prices are reasonable. Tampa's GreenWise Market opened on August 19, 2021, and it is absolutely fabulous. Its location is unparalleled. GreenWise is nestled underneath the Heron building in beautiful downtown Tampa, and it is only a stone's throw from the famous Tampa River Walk; also it's across the street from Sparkman Wharf. As for the store itself, its layout and design builds a great shopping ambiance that customers will enjoy, and the well stocked aisles compliment an impressive array of organic and whole foods. The employees are friendly and helpful, which only adds to the shopping experience. The parking garage is located behind the Heron building on the second floor. Parking is free for the first half-hour; after that it's four dollars an hour. Be advised that there is a two hour limit, so no parking then hanging out at Sparkman Wharf or neighborhood pubs. read more

Great location on water street with free parking on the building. The store has a more expensive and fancy feeling with lots of good service and good food. The whole week they have discounts on food and specials on their items for sale. They have bingo every second Tuesday of the month and the prices are gift cards. Their açaí bowls are delicious and super inexpensive compare to all the ones around the area. Sushi Wednesday is a hit with $5 rolls. Thursday you can get a whole pie of cheese pizza for $10 bucks. I was in aww the very first time I went into this Publix Greenwise as This was my first Greenwise. Now I love Publix and have shopped at Publix Since 1987 when I first moved to Tampa. I have to admit not a fan of Greenwise not that its a bad thing it's overwhelming to the point that everyone is nice nasty and does not make you feel welcomed like a tradition Publix I feel like im lost in the sauce when I go in the store no one is helpful A bald deli manager has major ATTITUDE perhaps stress. He even went so far as to argue because I asked something on my sandwhich that they dont or rather put on them. Imagine that! I will admit this has set the tone for me I'm happy to see Greenwise go away!!! Bougee Publix. They have all the bells and whistles, but don't take Publix Pay which is disappointing lol. I was trying to sign up for the rewards program and it wouldn't work because I already have a Publix account. So I actually had to use my debit card for the first time in months at a Publix store. BOO. Still - the craft beer selection was stellar. I liked all the soft drinks they had for purchase in individual sizes, the little patio is a plus. I would definitely come here for lunch and to work remote. I haven't fully explored the whole store so I'm planning to go back, especially to drink lol. This Publix Greenwise Market is a unique Publix concept. It does have enough items to stock a regular pantry and kitchen, however it also has a lot of specialty foods and more variety of fruit and vegetable products. They have a slightly bigger international section, an eats section where you can eat food while shopping, a drink section for smoothies and coffee, and other small sections for experienced within Publix. It is somewhat more pricey, but this is for the experience and organic and higher quality/ price point products. I enjoy coming here for a quick bite or last minute grocery shopping. I think this might be my favorite happy hour place on water street haha. The wine on tap is great and the cheese selection is amazing.

I bought a box of cereal in July that had expired in March-my bad for not reading the expiration date (It was awfully stale)! I went again because it's so convenient, and saw 3 dogs with their owners. There is a sign that says service animals only, but service animals know better that to jump and put their paws on the lemon and onion produce display. I'll try again since it is new and our household does eat an organic/non gmo diet, and again, the convenience! I'm just disappointed it didn't live up to the hype and regular Publix's standards. read more
