This will be my second review for this Walmart every time I go into Walmart I get stared at by the employees like I did something bad. I always hate using self check out here because if the machines mess up the employees take forever to come to help you and then they are very rude about such and such things. This location is the prime reason I don't shop at Walmart anymore. I stopped in today because the plant nursery was closed and picked up a single item. There were no manned lanes at the time so I took my plant over to the self-checkout stand. In front of a Walmart employee, I made my purchase, grabbed my receipt, and obviously didn't put my plant in a bag. I then walk 10 feet and some cretin in a yellow vest demands to see my receipt. Of course I told him to pound sand and just continued on with my day. What a great experience though. Buy a $35 dollar plant and before I even walk out of the store, they demand proof. Go check your cameras and stop harassing paying customers. You already overuse police resources, you closed all the small businesses in the area, and you have the worst customer service of any big box chain. For God's sakes, at least the overseas workers who work customer service for Amazon are nice. I spotted several other plants I would have been picking up later in the day but after this experience, I would rather never have to deal with these lowlifes again. I like this Walmart. I only shop here in the morning hours because in the afternoon, the weird people who must be just waking up come in to shop. I have seen them shopping here in the afternoon wearing house shoes and pajama bottoms, seriously! ha ha. I couldn't tell you what to expect at night! So, I recommend shopping here in the morning hours. It is peaceful and not crowded. They still seem to have the lowest prices, and appear to be safer out here in Montgomery County than the Houston Walmart. The store is well-stocked and clean. They need to learn their produce! Ordered 2 zucchini and received 2 cucumbers. Have been calling for two hours now. Either no one answers or they answer and hang-up. And, what is this with all the plastic bags? Why did I receive one banana in one bag and another banana in another bag? WARNING: Walmart will sell you tires, then refuse to install them. I bought 4 tires online from the WM website, and made a reservation for install. But when I got there, they had some kind of computer entry problem and refused to do the install. Auto Center Manager, (Khailif?), was particularly rude. I ended up taking the tires to a small shop in Conroe for installation after wasting half a day. No way to do business! read more

What a very nice refreshing surprise! Walmart on 242 in College Park just finished their store reset. Everything is bright and airy and all the new signs on the food department and everywhere makes finding things very easy and going straight to what you're looking for. This establishment has proven to be exceedingly disappointing. Their auto care center caused significant damage to my vehicle, yet they refused to accept any responsibility for the situation. I was informed that it was my obligation to arrange for repairs and to pursue any potential claims for assistance with the repair costs independently. As a single mother, I arrived with my children in a vehicle that was functioning properly. Following the damage, the manager instructed me to find a tow service to transport my car elsewhere for repairs and insisted that I arrange my own transportation via Uber to accommodate my children at 7 PM, as they required me to remove my car from their premises before closing time. Ultimately, they pushed my vehicle out of their auto center and left it in the parking lot. I called customer service and all they did was apologize and say that they will call me back in few days to follow up. what I am supposed to do until then?? they are the worst. read more

These folks do not have their online ordering and store pick process together. Got here 30 minutes ago and no one still. Then while waiting here I get a text that 1 of 2 items in the order I was told to picknup was just canceled. Then a woman with red hair comes out and tells me that she canceled that order a long time ago but that it was walmart.com that took so long to get text notice to me. Actually this Walmart has gone down in selection and quality. But I've been hearing that about other Walmarts around the country from friends. They have also been going alarmingly up in prices. Their household cleaning products, paper products, soy milk, juices, some of their make up, beauty goods, tolietry items, school supplies, light bulbs, automotive supplies and miscellaneous household products are still good buys though. Oh yah and my mom's depends and thick it are well priced. Not impressed with the so so quality of vegtables and fruit. Pastry area is lower end quality. Meat prices can be beat by local grocery stores adds. Canned goods are usually higher now with the exception of canned fish products if you're into that. Deli selection is lower end quality also - no Boarshead. My trips are getting shorter and shorter in duration. No more trolling down all the aisles anymore. read more

I don't know how this store is still open. The parking lot is half full. Half of that is probably employees. I refuse to shop here. It's so silly to funnel people in and out one door. The door at the food entrance no less. This isn't about Covid this is about control. It seems to me that they are paying for it. I have been by several times and the lot is always half full. I am not about to park on one end to get something on the other end. Mostly because I don't want to be forced though a choke point where all the sickness and germs collect. This is Insane. I've never placed an order for passport pictures to be printed or even been to this walmart before, so when I go to pick them up I had asked the two elderly ladies working the entrance where I go for printed pictures, they both cut me off to say every online pickup order is outside EVEN for photos. I went outside to see that it was a drive up pick up station. So I moved my car and and when I call the number and asked about it, the kind women apologized and said I had to come in to the photo department in the back of the store!!! So I walked all the way to the back of this giant store to find the nicest employee. Thank you to the guy working in the photo department at 12:45 because he INSTANTLY got my pictures I wasn't even back there for a full minute. The two lady's at the entrance wasted my time just because they didn't want to double check or even care to know the right information. I only gave an extra star because of the nice women I spoke to in pick ups and the nice gentleman working in photos. read more

I went there this morning, to buy a pair of jeans, but I had to try them on. But I was told that the fitting room attendant didn't start until 9. I glanced at my watch... 9:09am. This review is for the auto department. I am not a car savvy person. I brought my vehicle in to have the battery replaced 1 Year after purchasing it. My car had been consistently needing to be jumped and I had taken it several different places with the same response "it's your battery" when I first arrived at Walmart (where I previously purchased the battery) I was ignored while the little girl who was supposed to be working, was flirting with two men. I waited patiently until she came to my car and told me they were backed up and I would have to come back in the morning. I bring my car back the next morning and explain everything that has been happening and ask that my battery be replaced under my 5 year warranty. They did a battery test and a diagnostic test and told me the problem was my security system which couldn't be fixed and that they couldn't replace my battery free of charge because the machine reading stated good. I have never had any issue with the security system and the only way I was able to bring my car in was by jumping it. The guy then proceeds to tell me "I'm not really good with cars" ummm isn't this what you do in AUTOMOTIVE?! So I call my mechanic and explain the issue to him. He tells me it is in fact a battery issue and that I need to demand a replacement. I do this in the most polite way possible. No yelling, head rolling, or cursing. I'm met with attitude and told "fine, we will replace it but if you keep having issues then what" that is not what I expect form any business. Especially not one where I have spent my money on a warranty and been extremely patient with their incompetence. I will not ever purchase another thing from this store. Save yourself some time and go to auto-zone right up the road. read more

Typical Walmart story - competitive prices with no service. Looked throughout Auto for a portable power station. Same employee walked by us 3 times and didn't acknowledge us. We finally found them near the car batteries. Again, after looking at them for 10 minutes, no employees stopped to help us or offer assistance. Upon unpacking for our long weekend at a lakeside resort, my bf mumbles "I forgot to pack my swim trunks". What? I don't get it. The man packed 4 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of blue jeans, a pair of khakis, 5 t-shirts, 3 golf shirts, 6 pairs of underwear, 5 pairs of socks, 4 pairs of shoes all for a 3 day weekend and he stands there telling me he forgot to pack his swim trunks? Lucky for him Wal-mart was spitting distance to the resort. Usually I avoid Wal-mart at all cost. Can't stand the crowd and usually there is a lost child howling for his/her parents. Most likely the store's merchandise is packed together making it hard to maneuver around. Not this place. Still sparkly new the place is clean and well organized. It was easy to find the swimwear and they had OP so the bf was able to get a pair of decent looking trunks. The cash registers moved quickly and we were in and out of the store and poolside in no time. read more

It's a Walmart... so expectations are generally kept low. This one has a decent selection of craft beer, so a 3 star rating. Checkout lines are abhorrently long, and half the folks seem to not understand you, the other half are generally lazy. One bright spot, and this location has it, is the grocery pick up. Download the WM app or go the wm.com and order your groceries ahead, pick a time slot for the next day, and boom, they'll have them waiting and ready, and the best part is you just have to pull up, call inside and they'll bring them out and load them in your car. read more

The employee told me that she couldn't give me a gift card to spend in Walmart. And I told her that I would prefer the gift card because I couldn't use my credit card until July 20. On 9/17/2017 I had my Mazda 3 in for an oil change. A few days later, I discovered the protective plastic plate the covers the oil filter was dragging on the cement, held on by a single screw. I brought it back, the manager told me I'd have to go buy the missing metal screws and the plastic panel nut. I then wrote corporate and they had the store manager at the 3040 College Park Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77384 Walmart call me. I called back to discuss the issue after I got the message.. Never got a call back. I got busy and forgot about it, until today when I had my car in for an oil change again. Spoke with Dee, the garage supervisor and said I'd like Walmart to make sure it goes on the the right way this time with all the bolts. She told me that I'd have to go buy the bolts and bring them to her. They finished the oil change and the mechanic told me everything was on tight and secure, although it was miss a few screws still. Frustrated with trying to get good service I again went home. I stuck my camera phone under the car and not only was the oil protective plate AGAIN hanging, but one of the nuts that was missing ALSO holds the larger plate that the plate fastens into. I just called this store to ask for a particular clothing item. The woman who answered said, "Ma'am, this is Customer Service! Let me transfer you back to the operator," and before I could stop her, I was transferred to a ringing line that rang over 20 times before I gave up and called back. I had CUSTOMER SERVICE and she acted like I was transferred to the wrong department. What the heck is Customer Service for, if not to answer questions about items in stock?!? The second attempt landed me in the Jewelry Department where the kind sales person informed me they have NO OPERATOR today, so she sought out the item I was requesting. She is the reason I give this store two stars and not just one. And, I take away 10 cool points anyone else gave them because of the Customer Service person's terrible phone etiquette. read more

This is for 2 pharmacy techs!!! These two ladies Anjno and Noel...my daughter has been very sick...she got a prescription that was going to cost her 280.00 with the good rx card. These two ladies went out of their way to call the emergency room and try to contact the doctor. The doctor was not there but they were able to get my daughters rx changed to tablets and it ended up only costing her 13.00. We went to walgreens a couple days before that and left because my daughter could not afford it. I thank God for blessing us with these two women who went out of their way to help us. read more

I have called at least a half dozen times to this store on the telephone to speak with anyone that is in charge. However, all I received was a very long wait and been hanged up. For many years I have seem to have this problem with this store. Also, when I have shopped there every time I go to a register the cash person asked me if I want a Wal Mart credit card, and there is times that there being pushing about it. This store is in need of some one that can handle the customers and employees. Maybe some leadership training along with customer service training. read more

Went to go fix my tire . One tech said tire cannot be fix cause it low on thread so they say you need get new tire so I left for second opinion and end up coming back to get new tire and different tech told me it's not low on thread or no wire sticking out and it can be fix so no need to get new tire . I was confuse can it or can it not be fix . Two tech had two different opinion . Manager came out had to talk to them to decide if it can be fix or not . In the end they say it can't be fix and I new to get new tire . Not happy with service don't know who to trust. read more

Every single employee has an attitude, including the manager who gave us such an attitude for trying to return a money order that we almost walked out. It's a Walmart. They've got cheap prices, the staff is friendly and the selection is almost limitless. It's clean, stays open late and is in a convenient location. If you're expecting some high end store then you shouldn't even go to Walmart expecting the same thing. I had the worst experience today at the College Park Conroe TX location. I purchased my cleaning, bathroom needs and groceries. I also picked up a small little folding table. At the self check out the table rang up more than advertised. I asked an associate to assist and they got a manager. He asked me to show him where I found this and I could tell he was not wanting to deal with me and gave me a look of disgust even my wife and daughter seen this. I had a mask on but this manager had his down on his chin with his mouth and nose exposed. When we arrived he looked at where 3 other tables were displayed and said .. this is for a chair not a table... That is after he scanned the price tag on the display that these were clearly in. I stated I cannot see that on the price tag and he said so...I said are you going to honor the price? he said no... I then cursed not at him but was irritated of how I was being treated... I feel this was due to the color of my skin and if you could see how he first came over to me at the beginning of all this you would understand. I asked to speak to his manager and said He was the manager. I followed him back to where my wife and daughter were waiting and told him I needed the table removed as I did not want it... He walked away from me not removing this off my bill and got on his phone telling his manager I would be calling to complain about him... He only mentioned that I cursed not that he was treating me rudely or refused to move the item from my cart. I spend 95% of budget for food and other home items here.. not again not at Walmart.. I will pay 2-3% more somewhere else just so they do not get my money. Wal-Mart is a extension of China and I know this but just kept shopping here.. Hands down Walmart has the crappiest Customer Service employees of any retail store ever built ! Several days ago, I asked an employee that was walking by in the grocery isles no less, "Where is the bottled water", he had no idea what I was saying, he didn't speak English and he never understood the word water, he never bothered trying to find someone else to help, he just stared at me wondering why I was asking him a question. This is one of many complaints I have about their employees, their lack of knowledge of where things are in the store they work at and their general overall terrible attitudes towards helping customers is pathetic. read more
