This is one of the modernized Walmart Supercenters. The hours of this place reflect what they have nationally, which sometimes fluctuates depending on the Franchise owner. I like the layout of the store and take I can remember other Walmarts and know where things will be. I'll just be upfront...I absolutely loathe this Walmart. So much so that I make my husband go, and I flat out refuse to come along unless I absolutely have to. It's almost like a competition to see who is worse: the employees or the other customers. I think the other customers are winning that battle. I know that's not necessarily something Walmart can control, but just being around those pushy obnoxious self-absorbed trashy jerks makes my blood pressure go through the roof. They are notorious to price items considerably higher in store than online. Hot rollers: $19.99 online, $29.99 (!!!!!!) in store... They refuse to match the price even upon proof that the price is lower online despite of their price match guarantee. Staff is 30% excellent vs 70% rude and incompetent. I asked for an inventory check on a mirror in different frame color. Manager brings a scanning gun and has no idea how to use it therefore tells me they don't make it in other colors. I prove that they do so I'm told to leave her alone and go away, nice. Lastly, they never pick up the phone.. Enough negatives for me. read more

This Walmart is terrible! Bought a bicycle online, went to the store to pick it up. When the bike was brought out, we noticed the back tire was deflated. The lady at the service desk called a manager to help us, the manager told us they didn't have a pump to fill the back tire for us. Funny, the front tire was filled. We left irritated and took the bike home to fill the tire with our own pump! What do you know, we get home and the tire won't hold air. Fan-fricken-tastic!! We call Walmart to talk to a manger and was hung up on once and called back only for no manager to ever answer the phone. Walmart - you suck!! This Walmart has proven to be prejudice tonight. They had a older Caucasian man named Dave follow us around dressed as a regular customer and tried to accuse me of stealing as I walked out. I showed him my receipt and he seen my bags and pockets then immediately felt stupid and tried to say another man, MD, who was Indian, couldn't speak good english and must've told him wrong. MD pointed out the things Dave thought I'd stolen in a put backs area, and apologized for the other associates behavior. I would never recommend this location nor go back. read more

I was blown away and surprised how horrible their customer service could be I waited at the customer service line for at least one hour only one person working, and they were only two guest ahead of me in line they were having trouble trying to transfer money that's why took so long!! Next person was paying utility bills? Getting frustrated I tried calling on the phone but no one would answer the phone for customer service either. I just bought two sets of patio patio lights and had some broken ones, I was having a party that night so I had to wait. So next to the service area I don't know if it was a break room or what it was they were several employees just hanging out there with him out every now and then and do something or walk out to the parking lot and come back and go into the room no one seem to want to help customer service after the line finally got about 15 people. One of the cashiers came over and grab somebody from the middle line and waiting on the next which I couldn't believe why would you go to the front of the line to the person that was waiting the longest? When I got to the counter the lady was very nice and very professional I asked her why she couldn't call for help she replied that they don't have enough help and that a lot of the people have been laid off? Again I didn't understand that Walmart has to be one of the busiest stores in the country right now how in the world could they be laying off people and they weren't schedule enough people to work the shifts, why are not hiring more people to take care of the abundance of people trying to shop!!! Why would you not want to stay at your store and run it properly when you're having prime business!! She called the manager over for help but never got a response the whole time I was there. Where are the store managers????? The staff is working very hard but there is no management and they are not properly staffed and there's no reason in the world the line should be that long!!! Customer service should be their priority!!!!! Walmart on maple is one of the top non safe store I have ever been. There are five registers open and at least 20 people waiting in line at each register that's not including the self check out. With COVID-19 going on I can't believe they are not makeing it safe for no one. An I'm shocked they are open or allowed to be doing this. read more

Had a very good experience at grocery pick up this evening. The Walmart representative Suretha was friendly, diligent and took special care of the fragile items (glasses, flowers). I like this location since the remodel. It's bigger then before since it has a full line of groceries. It's generally pretty organized and I find what I'm looking for in stock. The prices for home and beauty products is the lowest around. That's primarily what I go there for. They have really cheap sweats and long sleeved shirts from fruit of the loom that we use for layering or hanging around the house. Only $6 each! It's wal-mart so you already know what to expect but this one seems better than the other location around here. This is my primary wal-mart. read more

Been going here several days a week for the past two years or so and really like this Walmart. The place is clean, generally keeps a good stock of items, and quickly turns over product for each season. I especially appreciate all of the wonderful staff members that great me with a smile and often ask me how I'm doing. Sometimes we'll even chat a bit about how things are going. Just, really really great staff who are not only friendly, but very helpful. A wonderful addition to the community. Highly recommend this Walmart! read more

The guy that reviewed this Wal-Mart is mistaken - I think he reviewed the wrong location. They didn't sell food here at all (it's not a Super Wal-Mart). Anyway, I was pretty happy with this place. I went here the day after Thanksgiving. I know what you're thinking: "Jenna, why in God's name would you ever go to a Wal-Mart the day after Thanksgiving?" Well, it was pretty insane. But the people here seemed to have everything under control, which was pretty impressive. Tons of items in-stock and ready to go for all your cheap holiday shopping needs. My only issues were the employees. I'm sure it sucks working the day after Thanksgiving - I know I hated it when I worked in the mall. But these guys really took the cake as being totally stupid and rude. Once we approached a cash register, a manager was directing people to do one thing and another associate was contradicting everything she said by telling us to do another. When I confronted the associate and explained that the "manager said this," she just yelled at me and told me she didn't know what she was talking about. I'm sure her manager appreciated her insubordination and rude treatment of customers when I told her all about it. You don't have to be a bitch, just get your shit together. Also, we got in the line with the biggest idiot cash register operator ever. We waited, not moving, for about 20 minutes because she couldn't handle the customer that was arguing with her. Get with it! Other than that, though, this place was pretty operational and nice. Tons of stuff available, pretty organized (even for the day after Thanksgiving) and always low prices. It's also located in a pretty hoppin strip mall, so you can do a lot of other shopping while you're around. Just make sure you know: there is no food here. Walmart needs to stop using Covid as a convenient excuse for horrible customer service! Our cashier was in such a foul mood she slammed our groceries into bags. Broke several items we discovered once we got home. 8:30 in the morning and two registers opened 2 days before Christmas! Everyone was making large good purchases preparing for family meals in the days ahead. None of the employees throughout the store were courteous. If we as patrons did not shop there they would not have jobs! I understand low stock issues and trucks being delayed. But that is not an excuse for the employees to treat customers as if they were doing us a favor for buying groceries. Every time we walk out saying we won't be back. This time we won't. There are plenty of other stores. Many who actually want your business ! The management team should be ashamed of themselves. But they aren't because quite frankly they could care less if they have customers. They'd rather be rude and push in-store customers out of their way to fill pickup and delivery orders. read more

I loves me some Walmart. It's my favorite place to pick up "staple" items -- cat food, paper towel, cream cheese, whatever. In the boys section and also woman's, I found several clothing items with different sizes from the tags and im not talking about the hanger tag. Careless so be careful when buying clothes. Avoid this location. Horrible customer service. The woman who helped me pointed at a counter where I guessed I needed to go for a site to store pick up. She didn't speak...that is until she asked her manager if she could go to the bathroom because her stomach hurt. I'm sorry but no customer needs to know your stomach and bowel issues. We rarely shop at Walmart, but we bopped in here today to check out their camping supply stock. They only have a few rows, but they're pretty chock full of decent goodies. If I could rate this place a 0 I would! I rarely ever go in this store, however my company gave us $100 gift cards for Christmas. I decided to go in and bite the bullet to get some supplies for my daughter's bday. Paper products I figured were easy enough to grab and get the hell out as fast as I could. When coming into the store, I had to use the restroom to change my daughter. My first thought was ultimate doom. Disgusting. The restroom was filthy with toilet water everywhere and the stalls all had waste in each toilet. I decided to quickly change her standing up and immediately head outside while covering her face and holding my breath. I told a staff member the condition of the restroom and they said "Sure let me get right on that" in an extremely sarcastic tone and headed off in the other direction. We walked around the store looking for party supplies. When I asked a staff member where they were she said somewhere over there and walked away from us! After quickly grabbing some things I headed to the register. The cashier totaled up our balance and I handed her my gift card which she said kept saying $0 balance. There was no way there was a $0 balance since they were just purchased in December and I would never go in there otherwise. I should've given it away to someone who could use it. She then asked someone to come over to help her. The other person came over, quickly swiped the card and tossed it at me with a piece of paper and said "nothin' on it". I said that couldn't be right because I just got the card and had the receipt with the balance. She said too bad and the computer doesn't lie. I then said I would like a manager and she said she was. She was not wearing a manager badge. I said I'd go over to customer service to see if they would help and she quickly said forget it. Since there was 1 register, a woman behind me began yelling at me because she got stuck behind me and this always happens to her. The "manager" quickly agreed with her and told me to pay and be on my way! I couldn't believe the treatment of the so called manager and that she was chiming in with a customer that was behind me yelling at me. The customer that was behind me got even more mad when I told her the situation and asked her to wait a moment, she then called me a derogatory name and the "manager" goes mmhmm. I decided to pay my bill without even getting a chance to look further into why the gift card wasn't working for me! This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at ANY store and will NOT be returning to another Walmart if our lives depended on it. I threw the card in the garbage and just walked out. I could care less at this point if it actually has money on it because I'd rather never go into another Walmart as long as I live. OPTOMETRIST is horrible. She will not listen to the customers concerns and has an attitude problem. She seems to forget who the customer is but i will not be going back to her. She started explaining a procedure to my daughter and told her that we needed to talk about it first BEFORE she talked to my daughter, and she continued to explain it using the excuse that she was just informing her how this about this procedure. I continued to tell her that WE need to talk about it FIRST, but she she must have a hearing problem because she ACTUALLY continued to defend her self in the office in front of my child. I politely excused my child and then told her she was out of line - but her HUGE ego would not let her understand that it is my right to do this - it is the parents decision - and had a huge attitude problem. They rarely if ever answer phone calls. "If" you are lucky enough to get someone to answer the initial call you will always be transferred and I have yet to ever have anybody answer the transfer in under 15 to 20 rings. This is HORRIBLE customer service. read more

They seem to have a selection issue. I used to go to the one in Rochester Hills, but that one was starting to scary - fights in the parking lots and scary-rude employees. That one was bad enough that I could seriously only go there during 'rush hour' 6am-8:30am and have a hassle free shopping experience. This one has nice employees, or at least They have been the twenty or so times I have been so far - but it's an older smaller store and there are many times I simply cannot find what I am looking for there. This Walmart suffers from the Open Box Syndrome. Meaning I have yet to find a box that has been opened that doesn't have items missing out of it. Another issue I have here is empty boxes - a box of Benedryl was missing one of the foil packages. I threw it away, since the person who stole resealed the box to put it back on the shelf and I accidentally bought it. Also had an empty box of make up items. (apparently merchandising and re-shop training isn't the same as the one in Rochester Hills.) I won't stop coming here, but I will start checking EVERY package a little closer before it goes in the cart. This is something I don't have to do at the two other BIG BOX stores that are less than a mile away. read more

IF AN OPTION TO PUT NO STARS WAS THERE I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN THAT!!! know the last review states its a small Walmart. It did change to a larger super walmart and it didn't help. WORST costumer service ever. I went in today to get a question answered about a coupon I had from already ordering $50 worth of Christmas cards from the photo department. That apartment wasn't open yet so I persisted with my shopping what home. 19 a.m. Came along I called the photo department back to discuss my questions. The initial customer service representative transfer me to the photo department there was no answer, I was transferred back to the initial customer service representative who then transferred me back to photo. Still no answer. Transferred me back to the initial customer service representative who transferred me to electronics. Still No answer! I get transferred back to the initial customer service representative who attempts to listen to my question cut me off mid sentence telling me its not a photo question it is a site to store question. It was definitely a photo question. So at this point I start to get aggravated. I used to work in customer service and no that people for not reason can be rude so I always make it a point to be very nice. After already being aggravated I was PUT ON HOLD For 24 MINS after already going through the run around. I finally hang up, frustrated for being put on hold for that long I call back talk to the same initial customer service representative who transfers me to the manager at the customer service desk now this woman was the most rudest unprofessional woman of all I explained to the woman why my frustration is there and then she cuts me off telling me if my tone of voice does not clear my help will not be assisted I then get mad. I tell her that is not a way to talk to a customer expecially one that was put on hold for 24 minutes simply to ask a question about a coupon I got from spending money at your store. She doesn't put the phone down telling me because of my tone show find someone else to assist me and talked to sue ever was next door at the desk about me as a customer I will never ever shop at the store again!!!!! worst customer service ever!!!! read more
