Just had a terrible customer service experience at the pickup at the Walmart in Troy MI. I knew it was going to be bad when I first arrived and the girl told me she would be right back as she was heading out the door with a cart for another customer. As I stood there for 7 long minutes wondering if she was coming back, or if anyone else cared I was standing there so long, I finally made my way to the customer service line and was asking if someone could help me. The girl came back right then and said, "I told you I was coming back.". I can't fully blame the girl for this. Why isn't management making sure there are at least two people working the pickup counter if they are going to be required to leave to load cars for other customers? At the very least she could have called someone and told them she had to leave to go to the parking lot and get some help at the counter. Ok, so now we are off to a bad start. I am there to pick up something another family member ordered. I was listed as the pickup person when the order was placed. My relative had a text saying the order was ready for me to pick up, but of course my name wasn't in her computer. I fully understand they can't just give out items to anyone walking up to the desk, and I do appreciate the security. However, I also asked if the item was available in the store because I figured I could just go get it and pay for it. I received absolutely no help with this. Finally, all I got was your name is not in my system as a pick up person so it is walmart.com's issue. I was told "We have nothing to do with them. You have to call them." Really? Walmart has nothing to do with walmart.com. I didn't realize that. So I left there frustrated beyond belief at the poor customer service. What would have been nice to experience if this young girl getting on the phone and calling a manager, or anyone for help. Instead of being told I needed to call Walmart.com. Why didn't she get someone to call walmart.com for me? Get them on the phone and find out what they can do to correct the problem. Absolutely nothing was done to try and help the situation. So I left with the phone number for Walmart.com and the store number (2873). I go to my car in the parking lot and I still have a little bit of hope that I might get someone reasonable on the phone to fix my problem and could go right back in and pick up my item. I don't know what I was thinking. When I called walmart.com all I got was a message about how their computers were updating and I should call back in an hour. This order will be cancelled, because it isn't worth our time to try and fix it. I have had a few issues that needed to be corrected at Target and always have experienced great customer service. Probably the most rudest, laziest and ignorant staff along with management ever. Let me just start off by saying the produce section is unbearable. I noticed the vegetables were all over the floor and the employees were just walking by not even caring. I ask one of the employees to check if there were any more portobello mushrooms in the back and showed him that the only pack on the shelf was wide opened and looks like someone stuck there finger through them. He took the pack from me and just recovered it and try to hand it back to me. I mentioned to him AGAIN that the mushrooms were damaged so he just threw them back on the shelf and walked away. How ignorant and rude let alone I'm sure that just violated the health regulation. Secondly, when I attempted to ask another employee to help find a product, she was to busy talking to her friend whom was also shopping about what plans they had for the weekend. As I said, excuse me 3 times, she turned at me like I was bothering her because I interrupted her conversation but after I asked her a question, she had no idea and told me to ask someone else. 15 mins later I walked by that area and she was still standing there talking to her friend. Great customer service!!!!! As I was checking out, the cashier rang up2 items that were completely the wrong price and as I informed her, so literally had the nerve to ask me how would I know. Really?!?!?! I told her at the very entrance you have a HUGE display indicating the Wolf Chile is on sale for $1.50 and you rang me up for $2.55. Then I also informed her that the tomatoes were also rung up wrong but then again she wanted to argue. I asked for a manager and that took about 10 mins before 2 actually came up. Sooooo, to top that, they both had attitudes and asked in a very rude and ignorant tone of voice, What did I wanted??? I explained to them the situation and they just said I'll have to go wait in line for the customer service can correct it and then laughed and walked away. I had to wait another 20 mins in line for there mistakes. Ridiculous!!!!! I had to reed plain the whole situation to the only one customer service rep and she called the front manager to the counter to inform them both about the problem and asked them both if they can correct the pricing problem? Both Afro American so call wanna be managers responded back, quote unquote, "Shit, that not my problem nor my job plus they don't pay me enough. The second one also commented "Ain't that the damn truth". Then they both just walked away laughing and acting more ignorant then ever. The customer service rep apologized and I asked to speak to the General Manager. Unfortunately he was not in so I got the store phone number to call the next day. Here is the kicker, when I called the store to speak with the general manager, I was put on hold and then hung up on. I called back again and was put on hold for another 15-20 mins before I got hung up on again. I called back once again and gave my info so the GM could call me back. Obviously that never happened so a week later I called again and just asked for a manager. 10 mins later someone finally answered which he said he was part of the management team and as I expressed to him the whole situation, he acted like I was bothering and inconveniencing him now. This place is truly a complete joke from the top management to the bottom of the staff. Little or no concern for the customer base and who knows how much they are really ripping off there customers by overpricing items intentionally. read more
