I have a reason for these two stars. I was shopping for St Patrick's Day, I found this PERFECT shirt, I went to the changing rooms and they were all locked so I decided to tap the assistants button. Over 14 minutes later still NO one, there was people that could have easily helped that we're walking by, all they did was look at us and leave. So I tapped the button multiple more times, and over 30 minutes later guess what... STILL NOTHING! I was shopping with someone else and they decided to call the operator, over 3 minutes later it was still ringing, then about half a minute later they just hung right up. The person I was shopping with decided to go to a worker and ask for them to open the stalls, and they said they would get someone,,,8 minutes later still NO ONE. After about an hour we went back and they were FINALLY open. The 2 stars were ONLY for the nice outfits. Safe to say I am VERY disappointed. read more

I would rate 0 freaking stars if I could. Brought my car here for just an oil change and tire rotation I was traveling up to 500 miles that weekend. Even I work at Walmart before and I would have shamed this working in the break room if I could. Got everything done and worked on and he pulled my car off and SKIDDED my tires on purpose out of the shop. I've never been so taken advantage and made a joke out of. Honestly, I was in a rush the other day to get a remote for my TV. The ladies in the electronics ( I should have gotten their names) were beyond helpful. One lady came to me and asked if I needed help and recommended the type of remote I needed. I thanked her. I was shocked. Not of her knowledge of what I needed. but customer service is rare anywhere. Same at the counter to pay. Very nice, smooth transaction, and said have a nice day. It is a thankless job. Place is not going to be perfect and I found out that the ones who complain STILL go to Walmart. I give credit where credit is due. Never really had a problem at this store. This Walmart's great! Greeters were super nice, the floors were really clean, and all the stuff's on the racks. (digging the new video displays and acid-wash concrete) I went to get my oil changed, had the appointment for 12:00, on a Saturday. At 12:02 my car went in, and 12:32 it came out, with brand new, full synthetic oil, for 59 bucks. I got a weeks worth of groceries in the meantime, and they were super busy at tire center and the front registers. This team was on it. I think these earlier reviews must've been from a different management team, the crew they have in there now are doing a kick ass job (at least from my perspective). read more

This Walmart Supercenter is convenient for me to get to.  I can rush quickly along I-94 at 70 miles per hour to get there from the south or take a leisurely route along Ecorse to get there.  I usually take the leisurely route. They have a full selection of produce.  It is usually at reasonably prices.  I have rarely seen them short on anything and for the most part their produce is ripe and ready to eat. Their staff is interested and engaged.  I enjoy the greeters here because they always greet me.  That may sound funny but, I don't know what it is, when I go to Walmart, I may or may not get greeted -usually not - but at this Walmart Supercenter - always! Their clothing selection is very good.  Great prices and a wide selection.  I haven't had to wait long at the cashier either.  The cashiers are pleasant and well trained.  The new ones have an experienced person stationed near them to help at any time. The parking lot is kept in good condition.  The only caution I offer is when entering the parking lot and leaving it.  The transition from parking lot to driving lane is not clear at the periphery of the lot and there are several other businesses between the lot and the main road. read more

I wish that I could give this Walmart more credit, it's been here since I was a little girl and it was the first grocery store around that was cheaper than Meijer. Now that I'm an adult I understand why. They have lower quality everything that's why the prices are lower. They never have any products in stock from simple items like paper plates to things like meat. I know what you're thinking, it's from the pandemic... um no, it's always like this. It's a sad place to shop. The people you see, the workers are rude and even the greeters don't greet you. I don't waste my time, go to the Walmart a bit further up the street you will at least have better service and purchasing options. I had an appointment at the tire center at 12:00, I was there a few minutes early, and the bay doors as well as the entrance was locked up. I tried calling and there was no answer, I tried calling the store again no answer. At 12:15 they showed up, it was pouring rain and I was sitting in my car. The guy said he had to give his workman a lunch break and there were having issues so they ran late. I said why didn't you bother to call me and let me know? NO answer. They took the car in at 12:20 and I got a notice they started working on the car at 12:40. My car was the only one in the bay, and there were three guys plus the one in the store. The guy in the store told me about an hour and a quarter to install 4 tires. I went to the front to talk to the store manager, plenty of excuses concerning the computer system not allowing them to contact customers that have appointments, but that's all it is to a customer excuses. There was not even a sign stating they were on lunch break. I heard these "professionals" arguing over which idiot would take the tire to the car, to put on and finish the job. Then I see one of them driving my car in circles at a fast speed to test their job. At 2:10, Two hours and 10 minutes after my appointment later my car was finished. When I paid for the work, I mentioned they should discount the price since it took over two hours to put 4 tires on. He replied he couldn't, gave me my keys and went on to the next customer. He was rude and inconsiderate, considering I was the one waiting. Save yourself time and energy don't go to this store, they are not professional and don't care about you as a customer. read more

This place is a time suck, you enter here and it takes 30 minutes to just check out, and pay. Never enough people staffing register, lines are avg 4-5 people long (who have full carts). Walmart is notorious for counting people in the store and optimizing their cashier's to 10-15min wait times. This store easily pushes it to double at non peak hours. read more

You know that phrase about a silk purse and a sow's ear? Hello Belleville Wallyworld! Ok Wallyworld in general sucks, but I am discussing this one in particular, which was recently redone. It looks better but it is still much the same. I am desperate to find Rolaid's softchews in vanilla. So desperate I am looking everywhere I can. I hate peppermint, cherry tastes nasty and the tropical fruit varietal makes me nauseous, I need the vanilla as they are the only ones I like. I suspect the bastards discontinued em but I digress... So we wind up here as it is literally the last place I would look. Despite the remodel, this Wallyworld but it is still the redneck haven it has always been. Cheap prices, babies screaming in carts interrupted only by sucking back some coke in the baby bottle and general misfits behaving badly. We find no vanilla softchews here, gah, but we do find cheap cereal. They also do not have the cheapie shampoo my bald husband for some reason still uses, don't ask. They have other items I peek for that are also not stocked. They also have some very odd pricing. I picked up two of the same shampoos and they were labled two different prices, exact shampoos and one is 75¢ more. One feminine product was fifty cents cheaper to buy two small packages that added up to the same amount of product that was in the bigger package. My husband gets the urge to go look at some blank DVDs and we walk into the usual Wallyworld scene, disgruntled redneck customer shouting at harried Wallyworld worker because someone else got to look at a digital camera before him. He is convinced it is racial because the salesman is black and so was the other customer. He and a manager are *discussing* it loudly in the middle of the media section. Moving on quickly we end up in housewares looking for lightbulbs only to witness poor parenting in action as some woman is repeatedly smacking one kid while utterly ignoring her other child who is going apeshit in the aisles without a hint of reprisal. Lovely. Yep you can redo it but you cannot change it's nature. Somehow this is just always how it is here...now you know why I never shop here. read more

I was visiting the Belleville, MI Walmart location and I was trying to cash a reprinted check from my job. They had accidentally printed my original incorrectly. I've cashed checks at other Walmart locations multiple times. The way my company (Amazon) reprints check's is through a system, in which it is printed on printer paper through an electronic agency. The instructions on how to verify, are stated on this paper along with the check. The manager at Walmart today, didn't want to read the instructions nor did he want to call to verify the check. I simply asked him why and he said because it doesn't look like the checks they cash and then stated "I'm choosing not to help you." I told him I felt he didn't want to help because I am African American and he was not choosing to evaluate the situation and see if he can help me. He went on and on about his discretion. He then recommended I visit another Walmart or another location to cash my check. I feel he handled this situation very poorly and during this time of crisis wasn't considerate to what people are really going through. This shouldn't be his discretion, it should be his job to help no matter what he THINKS. He didn't go above and beyond and even called the police on me! I have been in retail for 13 years, I have seen fraud multiple times and there were no red flags other than a printed check and you still have to verify. This isn't the first time I had an issue with Walmart and their employees but it will be the last. Walmart has fully lost my business. I'm a family man with a legit job. I was able to cash the check at a nearby cash checking location, because I wasn't about to go to another Walmart, after they actually followed the rules on the check and called to verify the check. read more

I never Walmart and coming to this one reminded me why. It took me about an hour to finally get what I wanted. I went on their website and found a mattress that I was able to pick up today in store. So my boyfriend and I went in and looked for it. We couldn't find it so we went to Customer Service where a manager told us she was unable to search up the item for us and that she'll call someone over to Furniture for us. We reached furniture and no one was there. We waited for 10 minutes so I walked over to find a worker. She told me to go to Customer Service and they can help me search the item or call another location to check. We went up and another worker helped us. He said he has to call over another manager since the manager (who told us she can't search up the information) is about to head out. The other manager came and helped us search up the item however it was stated that they do not have the product AT ALL in store however, there are since we saw twin size mattresses. She then walked over with us to check. Another manager followed. The manager who tried to check online couldn't find it and didn't know what to do. The manager who followed told us she'll look in the back just in case they might have some. She told another worker in electronics that she's heading to the back to look for full sized mattresses. He told her "there are only Mainstay". That was exactly what I needed. She brought out the mattress for us and even helped us bring it to our car. I wished we bumped into her first. It took around an hour and 6 employees to help us find what we needed. Honestly, could've been in and out in 15 minutes top if they check the back. So disappointed. read more

Giving them a one star is too generous. I don't care what time of day or night I go there they never restock what I'm looking for in a timely fashion. For example I bought the rest of the Atkins shrimp scampi entrees they had (3) two months ago. Not only have they not replaced them the entire section of Atkins and other brand entrees is always bare. This is the worst Walmart I've ever seen. I can drive down the street to the one in Canton on MI Ave and always find what I am looking for. Also, the Belleville location allows dogs in their location. I have yet to see one in Canton. I'm sorry but a barking pit bull should not be allowed in the store (and yes, it was a pit bull). I understand some people need dogs as support but I'm sorry I do not agree with a dog especially those that shed hair be allowed in a grocery store. People may be allergic to them. Parking lot is a complete mess. Trash everywhere. Employees seem bothered that I'm standing in line needing to pay. I shop at Walmart not because I want to, there because I have to, location is the only reason. I usually don't purchase everything needed because of the looks of the produce or Walmart is out. I've purchased pantry items because the shelve life. Produce is either good or very bad. I really wish this Walmart would get some attention from it's upper management. I've contacted upper management multiple times, filled out surveys & asked to speak to management staff while watching them socialize and laugh while their store is a complete mess. I guess, Walmart really doesn't care. I've been to Walmart stores in Kentucky and you'd think you've walked into a high end grocery store. I've shopped this Walmart for several years, since about 1996. It's not my favorite Walmart. It's conveniently located. Before the remodeling, I had complaints about the grocery section. I didn't think it was competently managed. Too often, favorite items such as the bulk pancakes were out of stock. Failure to keep popular grocery items in stock is a business killer in the grocery trade, a failure that undermined the Big Kmart on Ford Road in Canton. The out of stock problem made me skeptical that this Walmart would make it with a full grocery store. I have no real complaints about this Walmart except for a personal frustration. The store's inventory falls short of my needs and desires. Evidently, the inventory is determined by the needs & tastes of local semi-rural Belleville residents. I am fine with that. I cannot expect Belleville, Walmart to carry the inventory of the larger Ford Road, Canton Walmart. We have had two legitimate complaints about Belleville, Walmart. The auto services and especially the Subway employees are uneven in quality. So uneven, getting my tires mounted or an oil change or buying a sub was a crap shoot. I have not patronized either service for a few years as I decided not to roll the dice on auto services or getting a sub. I wondered if the Subway workers came from a local party clique, as Saturday and Sunday orders brought poor to even insulting service. The insulting service was the final straw. I never entered that Subway again. I would have complained but the shift "manager" didn't have much more on the ball than the insulting employee. Besides, he witnessed the entire show and failed to intervene. I consistently find the store staff polite & willing to go out of their way to assist me & my wife, the cashiers are polite, friendly even. read more

Oh yeah. It another trip to WalMart. I really don't care to go to WalMart, but when you have as many kids to feed as I do, you need to pinch pennies. But there are times when I feel like WalMart makes Aldi's look like Whole Foods. I buy some staples here but that's about it. Even when I'm looking for basics, I find that these new Wilmar's are lacking. Sure the new improved Walmart is a big step up from the Walmart of old, but it's still Walmart. They lack the choices that you find in the middle of the road grocery stores. I'll continue to shop here when I need something quickly, but my heart just isn't in it. This Wal-Mart is apparently a "BYOB" store... Which stands for BRING YOUR OWN BUGGY. The last 4x I've gone I had to search the parking lot for a shopping cart. Oh, not because they're busy. No, because the employees are too busy sitting out front smoking cigarettes to gather shopping carts or make the store look halfway presentable. Come on people... I know you may hate your job, but at least put some effort into it. A little goes a long ways. I'm a firm believe that if you don't steward well what you have, you probably won't get more. If I could give negative stars on this review, I most definitely would. Every experience my wife and I have had at this store in dealing with any employee has been terrible. They don't care about you or their work. They leave you feeling depressed every time you walk out the door. This las time, I had tires put on my car and the Big Rapids store put them on backwards. Walmart corporate escalated to the market manager and I was told I could go in when they open and they'd take care of me right away. Got to the store at open, they had no idea who I was, what I was talking about. My family will NEVER be returning to this store. 1 star is too many. This past Wednesday my husband and I purchased 2 $25 visa gift cards that were not in our bags when we went to leave the store. Walmart Optical - Dr. Rita Patel - Belleville, MI This place is thee most unprofessionally managed practice. Yes it starts with management. The manager Kylene needs basic customer service, work ethic and plain honesty training. Kylene will do what she can to keep from giving you what you paid for. She stated she faxed my prescription twice. I never received it. I called and spoke to a staff member who actually mailed it to me at my request. When i called Kylene to ask for assistance to order glasses from an online company (after going round and round with her) she finally conceded but her poor work ethic kicked in and she stated the information I needed was actually not on her computer but in my chart in the back so she couldn't give me the information I was requesting. I informed Kylene I didn't understand what her issue was with doing her job but i would wait on hold while she got up from her chair to go grab my chart. She returned to the phone and stated she could not give me any information because my prescription was expired. I hung up. I then looked at my prescription and NO, it was not expired. I called Kylene back and asked her why she lied and told me it was expired? Her response was "Oh, you have your prescription?" This tells me she made a note in my chart she faxed it but in fact never did. Why was she so surprised I had my prescription? She didn't know it was mailed to me. Kylene does not care about customer service nor getting return clients for Dr. Patel. I paid over $500.00 for their services so If you expect to get what you paid for, go to a different establishment and save yourself the stress. read more

I'm a corporate manager at four locations at Plymouth Restaurants ( 2bar and grills, virtual kitchen , catering company.) when explaining this to her after her dis respectful manner she scuffed at me, like I was lying about my career. I deal with Yelp reviews daily , so I'll keep it short. I spend hundreds weekly, thousands monthly for a family of four. My parents were Walmart shoppers. I was at the Belleville location yesterday with one of my daughters shopping as usual. When I saw the tires and rims that I planned on purchasing. Not cheap ones . Collectively about 1200$. When inquiring or waiting too. I was reprimanded like a child (41yrs old) not too go in the back where the tires were. I never set foot back there. Looking 3-4 feet from the door. The pictures and the price tag on the Wrangler ATS 26570/R17 said 110$. Jan told me the price was 153$ plus tax... I asked" why are they tagged at 110$? She told me " she'd have to special order them? " when I mentioned" that was the size on the tire ," she said they wouldn't fit your truck ( 2015 Chevy Colorado?) I said that's the exact tire size on my truck currently . She then mentioned " I'm not going to argue with you"( never once raising my voice.) she refused to give her name and told be Walmart at the Belleville location had no supervisor. Between two workers they didn't know how to make a transaction for a hunting license. Then I aked to buy ammo and after telling the rocket scientist that I wanted 2 boxes of 30-30 shells he hand me 30-06, just a slight difference. So I try to pay for them and smart guy says he can't because he don't know how so he walks me up front where I wait in line for 10 minutes while another smart one try to ring a bag of apples and failed for 10 minutes...screw this place and the bottom of the barrel workers who could not pass a drug test if they studied. No customer service, employees huddled together talking and avoiding work, attitudes from employees you ask for assistance, and the list goes on! I have called, been put on hold and the call never picked up again. I have called and the phone rings for 3 minutes straight and hangs up. I have sat in grocery pick-up for 30 minutes after being sent confirmation 45 minutes prior that my order was ready for pick-up. They are slowly getting rid of brands I shop for. Everyone has seen people of Wal-Mart so you go there with a preconceived notion that there's going to be epic people watching and mediocre customer service. I rarely shop here but I was in a hurry and the Meijer parking lot was torn up so I made a fateful mistake...I went to Wal-Mart. After navigating aisles where unruly, mouthy kids were talking back to their mothers, burly dudes in saggy tank taps exposing their ample back hair and just outta the tar pit attitudes towards their woman folk , and the confused senior citizens pushing their carts containing prune juice and depends, I was regretting my decision to venture into this pre-apocalyptic roll-back underworld. I grabbed the basics and headed to the register. I found a self-absorbed checkout person who slammed everything she scanned into a bag. Luckily I didn't buy eggs. The only utterance from her came when she was done scanning "Yer total is $78.48" I swipe my card and grab my bags. She's already scanning the next person's stuff and putting it into the bag carousel. I ask her "I think I might be missing a bag." Her gutteral utterance "Nope, you got it all" without making eye contact, she's scanning and slamming. I head home and as I'm unloading, I realize sure enough, I'm missing bags. I call the store and after 53 rings...yes I counted them...53...another equally friendly walmartian says "WalMart this is (some name I can't make out)." I explain what happened, I'm put on hold for 7 minutes. Yes, I'm a sucker for punishment and my phone has a timer. And even gruffer walmartian named Chewbacca or something like that says that due to the amount of things I'm alleging I didn't get, she needs to review the security tape. I reply "That's wonderful, you'll see that the cashier didn't even look for my items!" Nothing from Chewbacca except "Hold on" and I hold for 8 minutes. I'm worried my phone may run out of juice so I plug it in. Chewbacca comes back and asks me for the register number and my transaction code from the receipt. I find something starting with TC so I ready "TC 13278.." Chewbacca cuts me off "I don't need the TC, just the number." I reply as sweetly as I can "I'm sorry, I thought you would know that would be the right number if I gave you the TC first." Chewbacca says "I'm confused, start again but don't give me the TC." I do and Chewbacca puts me on hold again. About now I realize I could have driven the 18 miles back to Wal-Mart and hashed this out in person but I'm going to see this trainwreck through. Eleven minutes later Chewbacca returns and says her manager found my stuff so she doesn't need to look at the security tape, come in and she'll put my name on it. I explain I live 18 miles away and I've spent almost an hour on the phone waiting for info, some of my stuff was perishable so I'm going to expect a refund. Chewbacca says "Whatever floats your boat, what's your name because I'll put that on the back so it's at customer service whenever you come back." I say my name and spell it out. Chewbacca repeats it back wrong, I correct her, wrong again, but third time is a charm, Chewbacca gets it almost right! Three days later I venture back to WalMart and I'm greeted by Anita, probably Chewbacca's half-sister. I tell her that there's a bag of items I didn't get the other day and give my name. She says "Take your receipt and get your things, bring them up here and i'll have a manager review the tape because the amount is over $20." I explain I went through this with Chewbacca the other day, my stuff should be around and apparently there's some log book they list this stuff in. Anita stares at me like she's looking at the sun and grunts. She scans the counter and says "Nope, I don't see anything, you'll need to go pick out the stuff and bring it up here." Now I'm pissed. I say "Hey Anita, here's the deal, I'm not going to run around Wal-Mart on a scavenger hunt finding the stuff I bought 3 days ago to give to you to scan so I can get a refund. Here's what we're going to, you're going to turn around and that bag in the corner there looks like mine, the name is screwed up but when I spoke with Chewbacca the other day, she had trouble with her writing skills. Let's take a peek in that bag and if it matches this here receipt, you're going to refund everything. If you don't want to do that, let's dial up the manager and ask him to come up here so I can explain how rude you have been and let's see if you keep your job. Your move Anita" Behind me, I hear several people chuckling, they know I mean business. Anita growls something under her breath, gets the bag, and it's my stuff. MIRACLE!!!! I go here because the prices are cheap but they are usually out of a lot of the stuff I get the associates are mainly rude and the checkout lines are always long because they are understaffed. It is Easter. I am visiting from out of state, walked into Walmart to purchase some food items and alcohol. I was with my 74 year old great uncle and cousin whom is 28. I am 32. My uncle purchased his items separately from my own. He was allowed to buy his ciroc, however, when it came to my items; I had coffee creamer and Jack Daniels. I was denied my purchase of alcohol because my COUSIN did not have his ID on him. The clerk insisted that it was because he "could be drinking with you later" and it's "store policy" to deny a sell if all parties cannot present an ID. Well, let me just say that's a blantant LIE and her store manager echoed the same with a nasty attitude. Stating "If you have a problem with it, visit Michigan.gov." I looked up Walmart and Michigan alcohol policies. Walmart specifically mentions 40 and under to ask for ID but that it is not to impede the sell. Walmart Corp. these are your employees greatly lacking customer service let alone managerial experience to respond effectively. I am not pleased to have been uncomfortably singled out and then have my uncle treated in a disrespectful manner as if our patronage was an inconvenience to them. They have jobs and get paid to give proper customer service and actually do their job, not to assume and be surly to the people that are EMPLOYED TO SERVE. I called the store 4/16 at 3:04 pm and was told the store manager was a male. Again, we were lied to. As my uncle address the cashier for an understanding during the incident, he specifically asked for her manager, she pointed to another but much younger Caucasian girl with a short bob, dyed reddish hair. Tried to just run in for some tomatoes, flies all over the produce!! Went into the subway for a pop and there were so many flies I almost got sick watching them land on the food! Seen one of the store mangers leaving the store tried to stop him and tell him what I just seen, as soon as I said "are you the manger" he replied "yeah but I am laeving so I am off the clock"! Older black man, drives a redish orange car, edge maybe escape? next time I go in I will be bringing my phone and recording what I see, maybe once I hit every major social media sites I can with the video, Walmarts mangers will find the time to fix the disgust! read more

DO NOT USE THE TIRE LUBE EXPRESS. Just don't do it. They lured me in with promises of a $315 set of tires and $17 oil change that I'd have within an hour to an hour and a half - the cheapest AND fastest I could find in the area. Then I get there and am told it'll actually be twice as much for the oil change because high mileage. Okay, grumble grumble, fine, etc. THEN the mechanic tells me, "oopsie daisy, we screwed up when we quoted you for tires too; enjoy blowing an additional $130!", all the while condescending to me as though I can't grasp the concept of tires being different sizes. Plus their charge for tires does not factor in taxes or tire disposal fees, so more hidden charges await. When all was said and done - TWO AND A HALF HOURS later, mind you - I ended up being forced to shell out $515. Awesome. Thanks. Oh, no, wait...I actually mean that I hope all of you fall into a volcano. I will never go back to them for tires - or anything else - ever again. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I tried calling to see if they had a ihome mini rechargeable speaker in stock and I was put on hold expecting to be transferred to electronics. Nope, got auto instead and then got hung up on. Tried calling again, put on hold again for minutes then back to the same lady and when I asked if I could get transferred to electronics I got put on hold again. No big deal.. Expecting it to be electronics finally, I got the same lady and I asked if this was the electronics department and then she has the nerve to hang up on me. Looks like it's not worth my time calling back to incompetent people that don't even know how to transfer a phone call... read more
