Not the freshest choice whatsoever. Let me start by saying this, this is grocery store is quite literally my last option to go to if I need something quick & that's only because it's the closest grocery store near me. I'm always finding expired food in there but my biggest issue is how the charge more for everything in there compared to your other grocery stores. Always make sure to check the expiration dates especially on dairy products! Overcharging people when you're located in a low income neighborhood is really sad. I was at Fresh Choice Market last month, March 2020. I was a bit concerned over all the chicken they had! There were carts and carts stacked up high, with chicken! Makes me wonder where they got it all from?? There was no brand name on any of the chicken, so you never know just where the are getting it from. Other stores shelves are almost bare, yet this store have meat piled high. I'm just not too comfortable with it..Just an observation. Plus they sell outdated food. Always thought this store was decent until the other day. The sales ad came out for the week. The chicken breast was on sale for 99 cents a lb. I called to see if they had any due to our Corona crisis. I was told that the store was no longer offering this at that price and it was now over a $1.30 per lb. What!?!? Price gouging at its finest. The store didnt even have the decency to post corrections on their site. Definitely spreading the word. Big fat 0 rating in my book. I dont have tolerance for dirty nasty people in this world. It is easy to get to locally by walking or biking. The positive reviews must be from friends & family because they are OVER PRICED and the produce is almost never fresh. I've came home a few times and cut into a MOLDED bell pepper. A lot of the food on the shelves have expired. Please double check with this store! And some of the FREEZER FOOD IS TAPED UP with scotch tape! I'm guessing they put the returns back out for customers to buy. Very ghetto. They are VERY cheap at this store and clearly don't value the people in the community. I shop here all the time and loved it but today the management was very rude about a screw up they did. I get the text message with there ad and because they sent out the wrong ad they wouldn't honor the prices. To be honest that is not my issue it's when the management says to me " I dont have to honor anything our ad says the ad says that it's a typo not our problem" really that's interesting u would think they would care about customers and say4 sorry it was a screw up we will fix it right now but from the moment he walked up on his phone he had an attitude but I guess they dont care about the single customer read more

I'm sooo happy I found this place. This store has more variety than meijers or Walmart. From the outside this place looks run down, but it's very nice and clean inside. The workers were also very friendly. This is seriously the only store I'm going to be shopping at from now on. Oh, and the bags are excellent quality. Prices are higher then everywhere on most things, reason for 3 star not 4 (Im a Shopper to). Everythings always clean though. The people that work there seem ok for the most part. One dude that's in theres usually cheery. Watch out in the parking lot, its on a huge hill and your cart will go about 5mph down that thing if you aint thinking about it much. This supermarket is one of the best supermarkets I have ever been too. The customer service is phenomenal, the workers are very respectful, and it is very easy to find the item I am looking for. There is always somebody working on the floor to ask where something is. The meat products are the best I've ever had and the produce section is very nice and tasty. The assorted fruits and vegetables, which are already washed and put in a container, are very convenient. It's already ready to eat!!!! The store is also very clean and taken care of. read more

My husband and I have a favorite ice cream ( Banana Foster made by Hudsonville) and we shop at Fresh Choice often, the meats are great, the quantity & quality are wonderful and the service is wonderful. The cashiers are always friendly, they have many registers opened for quick service. When they ran out of our ice cream the gentlemen in the front office ordered us more & took my number to call me. When it arrived a couple days later, I received a call from Bob and was told that our ice cream was ready for pick up. When we arrived to pick up our sweet treat we were greeted as usual. Fresh Choice offers discount cards at no cost to the customer, we receive a discount every time on each item. I'm surprised more people don't shop locally. This place should be busy all of the time. read more

This store has good prices on their meat, but it's really not worth it. On mostly all of the occasions, I have shopped at this establishment, the lady who works in the customer service area (located right in front of the registers) has a very bad attitude. She talks to customers any kind of way and acts as if your very presence in the store is bothering her. She sits behind the window and makes smart remarks towards customers at the registers. Unfortunately, (most) of those working the registers tend to pick up her attitude. I have avoided going there because of her and each time I have stopped in "because it's close to the house", this girl is still there treating customers the same way. I tried talking to a higher up person (manager) about her attitude when they first opened a few years ago regarding how rude she was to me, while getting a money order (didn't speak, acted agitated etc.), and I had also witnessed her treating other customers rudely on several occasions, and felt it was time to say something. He just said come to him next time, I needed something at customer service. I felt like it was just swept under the rug, he did not apologize for her behavior, say it was unacceptable, nor did he did not speak to her regarding my concerns. In the meantime, I have had several people tell me that they don't go there because of how they were treated by her. Just one today. This establishment really needs to seriously brush up on customer service and not think they are better then their customers. It took me a few years to write this review (I don't write reviews), but it was time. read more

This store is so beautiful and clean! The staff really knows how to make you feel welcome. It is by far one of the best places to shop for groceries in the area! I would definitely recommend others to shop here. Whenever I have needed help, someone is always available and willing. This is usually not so common at other places I have been to before. read more

Some idiot from this store called my work number accusing me of stealing a phone from their store. She left a voicemail on my work phone saying she has me on camera and something about having my moms bridge card. (My mom doesn't have a bridge card) I've never been to this store and have never even heard of it. I decided to be nice and call her back so I can let her know she called the wrong person. She still insisted it was me because I have the same voice as on my voice mail. Well of course I do, its my voicemail! She then gave me the number she called which was the same as my work number except my work number starts with 248, not 734. So she probably just called the wrong number, but wouldn't listen to me, and got all snotty. She insisted she called 734. She said I was lying and she offered me $50 to bring the phone back or she is going to send the cops. WTF? First of all if I did steal the phone, why would I call the person accusing me of stealing it? Second of all, why would I be dumb enough to go back for the money, only to be arrested? Dumb! I tried several times to explain to her that she was wrong, and I was being nice, but she kept up with the snotty attitude, I couldn't help it but I started laughing at her, and might have called her an idiot. This place is a joke. Have you ever seen a business put eggs in the center of an isle with no refrigeration to keep them cool? I have seen this place put pallets with no refrigeration. Imagine what they do to the meat if that's what they do to the eggs, gross. They have no care, or concern with their customers. They all speak their foreign language which to me suggests they have something to hide. The majority of their prices are way higher than anywhere else. Unless you are buying their sales, I wouldn't suggest buying much else in the store. I will give two stars simply because they keep it clean for the most part. But don't buy their eggs. read more

The meat is one of the best meats I've had and great prices, the produce is always up to date and orgizinied neatly. The staff is also really friendly and helpful. The staff is very friendly. It looks kinda suspect from the outside, but inside is surprisingly clean and pleasant. It always smells like fried chicken. They double coupons up to 0.50 cents. I've shopped here three months in a row but just to get the Meat Bundle, which I highly recommend. The meat is very fresh and great cuts. Now, I have to give it only Three Stars because I only step into this store once a month for the Meat Bundle. The last time I was there I said to myself, 'Why not try their groceries?' Well, I know why not. They are priced WAY higher than everywhere else. So I tried to even that out with coupons but they don't take printed off the computer coupons, which are majority of the ones I use. Also, I had to really watch what their sales paper said compared to what the sale is actually when you get there, kinda contradictory. They had a specific sale in their paper but then have a different sign sale in-store, which made it a little annoying. Will always go back for the meat, but everything else, no thanks. read more
