I don't know why this Walmart has such negative reviews. Every time I come here, it is a great experience. This is the closest Walmart to me and I've been coming here for years. Parking is very easy and ample in their parking garage. The whole place feels new and very clean. In the few interactions I had with floor associates, some didn't speak enough English to help me. I just found another associate and was able to solve my issue so it was fine. The other patrons have been the most normal/decently behaved that I've seen for a Walmart. Today I visited for the first time the Walmart Supercenter located near the Tysons complex of malls and mixed use (although I believe this is technically Vienna, VA). For those who are not familiar with this area, or with this particular Walmart Supercenter, here is a brief history and description: This store is located at 1500 B Cornerside Blvd, Vienna, VA 22182, and it is huge. It is the flagship retail anchor of the Tysons West commercial complex, a mixed-use development situated near the new Silver Line Spring Hill Metro station. Apparently, the facility was completed in 2013, and the store officially opened its doors on August 14, 2013. This location is designed with an urban-style layout to fit the high-density Tysons/Vienna area. This Walmart typically operates from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily, though specific departments may have shorter hours. Since everyone is more or less acquainted with Walmart, I want to focus this review on a new line of higher-end products that can now be found (with degrees of success) at Walmart stores. I want to bring these products to the Yelp readers' attention because the products are surprisingly (and consistently) of high quality, also delicious, and most importantly, affordable! Bettergoods is probably Walmart's most significant private-label food launch in over 20 years. It was introduced in April 2024 to provide a more "elevated" and "chef-inspired" culinary experience at an accessible price point. According to Walmart, the Bettergoods line features approximately 300 products (they are adding more products on a regular basis) that categorized into three concepts: "Culinary Experiences" (innovative flavors like hot honey seasoning and bronze-cut pasta); "Plant-Based" (including oat milk frozen desserts and dairy-free cheeses), and "Made Without" (items catering to specific dietary needs like gluten-free or no added sugar). By offering trendy, gourmet-style items--most priced under $5--I think that Walmart aims to compete with premium retailers while maintaining its reputation for high value. The products are scattered throughout the store since some are shelf-stable (dressings, sauces, snacks, etc) while other are refrigerated (yogurt) and many are frozen (pastries, entrees, hors d'œuvres, etc). I have tasted all of the products included in my photographs, and they are indeed of high quality. Some are imported (like the berry tarts or the cheesy potato tots), others are probably private-labeled for Walmart. I encourage you to try these, and I think you may not be dissapointed! Robyn was our cashier and holy moly she exudes radiance & happiness& she has such a warm, bubbly & fun personality!!! This Walmart is always neat and I can always find what I need here. Produce has been fresh for the most part. You see Employees all over the store and they actually know where things are when you ask them. I'm use to Walmart employees saying - - - I don't know where that's at, this isn't my department. Ugh. I have a peace of mind when I'm at this Walmart. They have a parking garage as well as a few spots out front. They also have wine and beer in this store. I live in MD where we don't get that luxury. I visited this location primarily for the pharmacy today and decided to shop for additional items. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service was disappointing. The first associate I approached, whose name was listed as FNU( I wonder is she is an illegal), stated she was new and did not know the answer to my question. She did not offer to locate another employee who could assist me. I then approached another employee who appeared engaged in a personal conversation with two male coworkers. When I asked for assistance, she seemed annoyed at being interrupted and directed me to the wrong aisle. This interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. A third associate who was stocking shelves also seemed unwilling to assist and provided minimal response. Eventually, one employee was helpful, and I appreciated her effort. However, the overall experience reflected inconsistent service and a lack of customer focus. I encourage management to reinforce professional conduct on the sales floor and ensure employees are attentive to customers rather than engaged in personal conversations while on duty. The statement behind all their backs - " we are here to help"Hiring and training practices should emphasize product knowledge, communication skills, and customer service standards. This is by far the cleanest and most organized Walmart I have ever been to. I attribute this to the fact that the employees only focus on stocking the shelves and cleaning and 0 customer service. I came in on New Year's Day as it started to snow and I needed gloves and hand warmers. I asked 3 different employees before one could actually tell me where the hand warmers were. I first stopped at a lady in misses apparel up front. She told me they were at the registers (this is where they ended up being, but it took me ~20 minutes to find them). While talking to her, she never once looked up from her task at hand. The second person was a gentleman by the pharmacy who shared they would be in sporting goods and I asked where that might be and he points to the back corner. I get to the back corner and I don't see sporting goods or camping. However, I do see another employee who I ask about the hand warmers. She hands me her doo-hickey (idk what their scanners are called) and tells me to search for what I'm looking for (I do). Once it pops up, she takes the time to walk me to where they are. They are register adjacent in my book. I was grateful for her though. Overall, if you frequent this Walmart and know where things are, it's probably amazing. Customer service use to be about the Customer but now all corporate worries about is their bottom line the Customer has become no one to you. If I have waited for my order and not gotten it why do I have to wait other 48 hours from my first call then another 48 from my second call? It should have been taken care of the first call. Just had to go here today, as they were the only store. That's right I went here for a fitness tracker band. I'm glad they had it, but getting in and out of here is frustrating. First off no escalators work, so crammed with lots of folks in an elevator. I'm glad to be vaccinated. Here you'll park in a parking garage. Two hours is free, but it's a strange set up. From my understanding, the high rollers of the area, didn't want Walmart to be visible. It's not from route 7. This is quite a big one though. It's also busy every time. That alone makes me leery, as admittedly not a people person. Yet it today came through, and it does work for general purposes. They do have some deals on cold cuts and other groceries. I'm not much of a review writer but this is the THIRD time I have placed a Walmart delivery order from this store and over half of my items were missing. I have Walmart plus and have been a user for years. I only had great experiences when I lived in Arkansas and in Kansas but have only had issues since moving here and using this store. I'm not sure if this is a store issue or a delivery driver issue but it is ridiculous. They have brought me rotten produce, the wrong items (even though it said the correct substitution was made) and my most recent order over half of my items were just missing. On a $200+ order that is mind boggling. Not to mention the Walmart Plus subscription is $20 ish a month. read more

Modernized, yet not enough Cashiers. Not to say that they were not present, as they were sashaying around the store, oppose to being on the registerers. At 10:30A on a Sunday, there was only three registers opened with 10 or more people in each line. A 1/3 of the Self Check Out machines were out of order. Not a good example of teamwork either. As our Cashier was trying to move the customers through her line, one of her loud co-workers or mangers kept coming to her & demanding that she assist a customer that already paid & left. Oppose to offering assistance or guiding the customer to the Customer Service Department. Those exchanges held our line up even more. Parking is a madhouse on the street & in the parking garage. Other madhouse going on was a woman in the Ladies' Restroom yelling, cussing & fussing for over 5 minutes...not the normal Wally World experience. I went to Wallmart today because I love there cooked chicken. Unfortunately the chicken I chose was in a double bag. The first bag was for a 10am ready and should have been removed. Not put in another bag with a different ready time. Then to top things off.... Once I opened the second bag to take out the chicken it appeared to have been eaten with most of the top skin removed. In 2018/2019 when I went to this location with my mother to buy some groceries but the cart I was pushing had a lot hairs tangled on one of the wheels so I left the cart by the fitting room where my mom was trying on clothes and left it next to the employee who was in charge of the fitting room( he was cool about it). As I was shopping around picking cereal and other snacks then taking the items to the cart in the clothing area, one of the employees starts to suspect me. What I don't like is the fact that one of the lost prevention guy (I thought he was a creeper/pedo) kept stalking me and making so many direct eye contact with me in three different isles, a different Walmart employee walking so close behind with a walkie talkie saying ("yes, I'm right behind her"), I was very uncomfortable. It's weird how they didn't say a word to me but yet stalked through out the whole store (thanks for making me feel like crap). As I get to the register, one the cashier was waiting to check me out and I could tell he was on to it (so annoying). To add the cherry on top, the cops came and slowly followed me from afar to the garage. I wasn't even stealing but I wished they communicated with me if they had a problem. I felt bullied, humiliated and disrespected. This happened at nighttime and less people it was dead so I don't understand of the high chances of me stealing? I didn't leave the store without paying so why do this? Instead of stalking me and calling the police they should at least clean out the hairy wheels from the cart. These Walmart employees wishes that I was stealing something because that's what It seems like. I see now they like to play these games with their customers. I swear these Walmart employees who were involved wanna be spy agents soooo bad it's embarrassing. I'm so furious I'm shaking. There's a reason I don't go to Walmart in person. For 1) the parking is ridiculous at the one near me (1500 B Corner Vienna). It's shared with other offices and with the new business in front of Walmart, parking even during the week is abysmal; 2) the escalators are ALWAYS broken so we're forced to take the elevators and because most people are impatient and don't want to wait they will try and squeeze in despite the pandemic and 3) they don't do a good job keeping their stock available. I couldn't even find socks for my son once. Because of the prices, I started ordering online and having delivered. Because of today, I'm willing to pay a couple bucks more and drive a bit further to shop somewhere else. I ordered an aquarium and gravel. Originally was getting it tomorrow (Tuesday) but got notice the items where available at my nearest store so would be delivered today (Monday Labor Day). Suddenly I get a notice my order had been delivered... but when I checked, nothing was outside my condo door. I checked the actual website, went to my recent orders and it said delivered with a "proof of delivery" photo. I couldn't believe what I saw. One of photos attached is their "proof of delivery" - from the trunk of their car. Can't even tell if it was taken outside of my building. Could be their house for all I know. So I got downstairs to check the mail area and nothing there. I thought to myself "they wouldn't be as stupid and moronic as to leave my stuff outside would they?" Well I guess so. It's 10:30p (order delivered at 9:30p) and my order sitting outside in the open of a condo building with ~100 tenants plus visitors and foot traffic. A lady in the process of moving in couldn't believe my situation as she saw me picking up an aquarium with a shipping label on it, struggling to open the security door of our building. From the parking garage, the store is downstairs or down an escalator. The innovative part is an "escalator for carts" that allows a full cart to be taken up to the parking lot. read more

I want to give four stars, but there were two major downsides for me. This Walmart is located at the entrance of Tysons, right after the toll orad exits, so it is a VERY busy location with a lot of traffic. The only "easy" parking is in a garage, that is free for the first hour (if I remember correctly)f. The second downside is that the aisles are so small, this is most likely because it is a smaller store in such a busy area of Tysons. The aisles are fully stocked. There were security tags on the makeup items, this is the first time I saw it at a Walmart (in addition to the security cameras). I think that's a great idea, although I'm wondering if it is due to previous theft incidents at this location. The staff member who was at the front of the store was very friendly. read more

Not my favorite Walmart here in the area. But it has unique features. Was trying to find a particular brand of really tasty pasta sauce. This was the only Walmart store that carried it! It was at least a dollar a jar less expensive than elsewhere and as advertised on Amazon. They carried every version. So, if you are looking for gourmet, expensive, difficult-to-find brands, this store carries some of them -- a Walmart. Go figure. I purchased several jars of each variety and saved quite a bit. We are stocked up now. Great fallback menu weeknights when you're too tired to cook, don't want to order takeout (or budget is tight), but want something easy that tastes good. Heat up some pasta and microwave some sauce. Grate some Asiago or Parmesan fresh; put some fresh basil leaves on top. Add salad, done. Really good meal actually. Healthy, too. My issue with this store is the need for all the walking with the parking garage, elevators, store location. Might work better if you have a handicapped sticker if you have gait issues. read more

I consider a trip to Wal-mart akin to visiting one of the nine circles of hell but quite honestly, this trip was not as headache inducing as I would have thought (Are my standards that low now?!) I went on a Saturday night during the holiday season which could have been pure chaos but I was able to park in their covered garage with no issue, enter the store (no smiley sticker greeter though!), and find the very specific item that I was looking for (two travel carseats that they only sell at Walmart) and leave with no issue. I had tried purchasing the items online but the website said it would take two weeks to deliver and I wasn't messing with that. I took a chance and was able to find the car seats in stock and in several different prints as well. The price was very affordable (two were still 150% less than my main one) and I'm wondering why I didn't check out the aisles here earlier. I'm a Target girl through and through but this Walmart gives me hope! read more

I went on their first late night open at 1am because the bf wanted coffee & he ended up with a basket full of stuff. Walmart, you are a sinfully delightful! You NEVER walk out of that place with "just one thing." Even though it was their first night in, several workers asked if we needed assistance as they seemed bombarded with shelving and organizing. Since this location is a supercenter, they are open around the clock PLUS they sell fruits, veggies, and galore! Words can express how happy I am! Slowest checkout lines I've ever experienced in my life. Every time I go here the wait in line is as long as doing a full cart shopping trip even though there's only one or two people in front of you. The employees move at a snail pace regardless of how busy and if you ask anyone for help finding something they never can provide help. I have been counting down the days for this to open :) Though the store is smaller than other locations, it had all of the sections that I needed - electronics, groceries, school supplies, cleaning products, medication - I was a happy camper. My little sisters were very excited about the huge candy and toy sections. My teen sister and I enjoyed the makeup and products. Other cool services: - key maker - pet id maker - seattles best coffee maker - redbox - pharmacy - deli - water purifier machine Staff was incredibly helpful and hopefully that was not just because of the grand opening. I went there today to return an item that was expensive and I could get a cheaper item on line; after they made me wait for half an hour searching into the computer they told me to wait for a manager, the item was not open and we had paid cash for it ; after 45 minutes the manager came and said we will give you store coupon ; I told them that I am not a Walmart shopper and I don't need a store credit, I paid cash for this item and I need to return it, and expect my cash back, they wanted to force me to accept a credit, I left the store and called the credit card company for a dispute! It's cleaner than most Supercenters but the selection can be limited. The way the different sections of the store seem a little confusing to me, as I'm always going up and down the aisles trying to find what I need, i.e. spray bottle. I wasn't successful this trip, but I did find other items to fill my cart. Their prepared food section is a lot more updated, one of the managers nearby asked if I needed help finding anything and went on to tell me how Walmart is trying to be more competitive with other grocery stores that sell prepped salads, sandwiches, popcorn shrimp, chicken tenders etc. Most of it looks fresh - I curiously glanced at the sushi to see if it looked edible, but those are not made on site. The rice appears to be Uncle Ben's style and kind of looked fake. I took a pass on that. The parking is decent. There's a small lot in front and a parking garage in the back. Sometimes parking in the front lot can be a cluster, not because of the size or it being packed, it's due to erratic/random drivers. Maybe opt to park in the garage if you can't park directly in front. Since this location is still fairly new, I haven't had any issues waiting in line. read more

First time I shop here. I was looking for a big store. No. It's have it size from Richmond Hwy and Fair Lake Parkway. But it has have the amount. It was Thanksgiving day and it was not many people around 1:00pm. They only had three people for the computer. The Black Friday on Thanksgiving day was between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. We end up getting owner food and taken Metro Access Home. Parking is above the store. They only have one restaurant that open during non holiday. Metro subway stop the silver line. I wood not here again. It nice if I live near. But I wood shop at the Walmart that near by. I hope you like this review. Parking Great. But I don't have a car. read more

Love this location even though it's a smaller Walmart but it's so clean and there are very friendly workers. I come late at night when it's not busy and when I'm bored because it's fun to look at things you don't need but end up buying anyway. The grocery section is pretty amazing with great prices. My wife and I went to this Walmart and made a purchase at self checkout, as we had were walking out the woman at the front door stopped us and asked for the receipt which we had on hand and gave that to her, as I moved up a little she put her hand on my chest accusing me of stealing which completely caught me off guard because she saw me purchasing at self check out and bagging my items. She then asked me to open my bags up which really pissed me off because at that point she made me feel like I was a criminal. The customer service was horrific and disgusting this type of behavior should not be happening in such a big corporate store. I don't feel right going back to this location. read more

I started using the food delivery service from the Walmart store in Vienna Va. It started out really good but went downhill very fast. They delivered severely dented cans, a rotted hollow lemon, GREEN potatoes and and three squishy potatoes with black spots that were on the verge of rotting. I ordered two bunches of radishes in another order and it was quite apparent that they split one of the bunches and charged me for two. The reason I say this is because there were only 3 radishes in each bunch! The rubber bands holding them together were displaced and it was obvious they rebunched them. I ordered milk, sour cream and cottage cheese and a kiebalsa sausage for delivery in the morning hours. It's obviousl these items were left out before they were delivered because they were warm (not cold/cool) - the sour cream and cottage cheese had already begun to separate (watery). So, I rated them two stars on their website. They called and left a message asking me to call back - I did that, but no on answered! Tonight I went to a different Walmart on Lee Highway and returned the rotted produce that had been delivered to me a couple of days ago. The customer service person was aghast see that I had been charged for the delivery of rotten produce. I will no longer order produce, deli or dairy products for delivery from Walmart.
