Me and my Harris Teeter paper bag I used from tonight, because I hate plastic bags lol. ‍

The nighttime manager, Darrell, at this Harris Teeter tonight (at exactly 11 pm, when the store officially closes), showed me mercy tonight. I am extremely thankful good people (Good Samaritans, if you will) like Darrell still exist in the world. I'd rather not share my personal reasons for needing to go to "my neighborhood grocery store" at 11 pm on a Monday night, especially with it being a national holiday today. It really was supposed to be a day of rest for ourselves and our families alike, but amazing people like the day-time managers even - who must've been exhausted at that point with such a long day for themselves too - and Darrell, chose to show me grace. Thank you, so much for the gift of people like the nighttime manager Darrell (and his team stocking shelves through the night, what a thankless, and extremely necessary job!) and the daytime team too for being a genuinely good "neighborhood" for me tonight. Now, I'm gonna get some sleep lol. :)

One slice of pepperoni pizza and yes I ate some, but there was only 5 pepperoni's on this mostly cheese slice. Smh!

Just slipped and fell on their floor that had poorly wiped up Yogurt on it. I called out for help, but after 5 minutes a Spanish speaking person came outta of nowhere to mop the floor. I should have called,911. I will be reporting to corporate tomorrow morning. It was funny to the management. Luckily I didn't break any bones. They need to be sued!

Visited the Harris Teeter in Dunn Losing (near where Prosperity ends at I-66) on a Wednesday afternoon. The large store wasn't too busy at that time. This location is on the ground floor of a multistory building. There is a drive-in garage connected by a covered walkway. Nice fresh produce in the well stocked section which includes a large selection of precut, time saving veggies ready for a quick dinner. The Dell is well stocked featuring Boars Head Provisions. Mike knows his products, offers great advice, and provides superior customer service. The deli has a sandwich menu for fresh made and ready to go sandwiches. The fresh meat and seafood department also has a lot of prepared, ready to cook offerings. However a recent reset of the packaged lunch meats and hot dogs has eliminated several items including Sabretts brand all-natural skinless all beef uncured hot dogs. So if you are looking for the best hot dogs in the market, you won't find them at Harris Teeter. (Sabretts is the brand served by the vast majority of hot dog stands everywhere.) This store has a large cheese section and makes fresh pizzas by the slice. To go with the cheese, there is a wine and beer section which takes up a lot of real estate! This store seems to cater to the smaller family or apartment dweller. It has lots of prepared foods and it also stocks smaller sized versions of products. It still has many of the southern regional products of it's North Carolina-based parent company, Kroger. This Harris Teeter has one of the largest checkout sections I have seen- like the number of checkout lines that you *wish* Costco or BJ's had! In addition to more than 10 cashier stations, there is a whole bank of easy to access self checkouts - not a small corral area. A great idea. Overall a great shopping experience. No masks are required for people who are vaccinated.

MMMBop is playing... My God it's only 7:35pm. The younger generation has no idea how annoying this song got back in the day. I think it surpassed Hootie and the Blowfish's Only Wanna Be With You song...that was annoying too. The thing about this Harris Teeter is this... it is located right by the Dunn Loring Metro Station and it is open 24 hour 7 days a week. Also, there are apartments built around the store which make this place very convenient for the residents and commuters. I don't know if you can own these apartment or if they are merely for renting only. Whatever the case is...renting would be more expensive. This Harris Teeter is very clean and organized. Infact, if you look around the store, there are signs that back up this statement. The signs says Always Clean and Always Organized. I would say Harris Teeter and Wagman's go head to head in the clean and organized department. I have even seen two employees wearing The Baltimore Ravens attire. This just kicked this review up to a six star rating. The staff were cheerful, but none more cheerful that the dude wearing the Baltimore Ravens winter cap. I met a woman named Jan... who seemed to be down in the doldrums. She could not remember what I ordered after telling her 5 seconds ago. Okay, I will repeat myself..."I would like to order a whole deluxe pizza". Everyone a bad day, and maybe I caught it with her at that time. She did make my order and tried smiling in the end. Apparently at this Harris Teeter, you can't customize your pizza. Pity, because there were some nice options I had in mind. Minus one star. Maybe a policy was changed about pizzas being customized. This Harris Teeter even has a lounge area where you can heat up your food and sit down to eat. There are two big screen TVs in the front and back of the lounge area so everyone can see what's going on. Baltimore Ravens fans will be happy to watch the game when it comes on. This is store is a well oiled machine and I think it will go far. Hell, if you remember the grocery stores from the 80's you would be appalled. Those were the days...and not in a good way...here and now is the better option...:)

This review is specifically for the Deli Station. Shout out to Mike for being patient with me and having great customer service on Thursday night. I had the Prime rib dinner special for $9.99. He replaced the dry cuts with fresh ones, and it was delicious. He also answered all my questions and requests with much ease and courtesy.

Parking is very easy and ample in their parking garage. The whole place feels new and very clean. In the few interactions I had with floor associates, some didn't speak enough English to help me. I just found another associate and was able to solve my issue so it was fine. The other patrons have been the most normal/decently behaved that I've seen for a Walmart. Everything seems to be stocked decently well, and it is a easy shopping experience.

Today I visited for the first time the Walmart Supercenter located near the Tysons complex of…read moremalls and mixed use (although I believe this is technically Vienna, VA). For those who are not familiar with this area, or with this particular Walmart Supercenter, here is a brief history and description: This store is located at 1500 B Cornerside Blvd, Vienna, VA 22182, and it is huge. It is the flagship retail anchor of the Tysons West commercial complex, a mixed-use development situated near the new Silver Line Spring Hill Metro station. Apparently, the facility was completed in 2013, and the store officially opened its doors on August 14, 2013. This location is designed with an urban-style layout to fit the high-density Tysons/Vienna area. This Walmart typically operates from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily, though specific departments may have shorter hours. Since everyone is more or less acquainted with Walmart, I want to focus this review on a new line of higher-end products that can now be found (with degrees of success) at Walmart stores. I want to bring these products to the Yelp readers' attention because the products are surprisingly (and consistently) of high quality, also delicious, and most importantly, affordable! Bettergoods is probably Walmart's most significant private-label food launch in over 20 years. It was introduced in April 2024 to provide a more "elevated" and "chef-inspired" culinary experience at an accessible price point. According to Walmart, the Bettergoods line features approximately 300 products (they are adding more products on a regular basis) that categorized into three concepts: "Culinary Experiences" (innovative flavors like hot honey seasoning and bronze-cut pasta); "Plant-Based" (including oat milk frozen desserts and dairy-free cheeses), and "Made Without" (items catering to specific dietary needs like gluten-free or no added sugar). By offering trendy, gourmet-style items--most priced under $5--I think that Walmart aims to compete with premium retailers while maintaining its reputation for high value. The products are scattered throughout the store since some are shelf-stable (dressings, sauces, snacks, etc) while other are refrigerated (yogurt) and many are frozen (pastries, entrees, hors d'œuvres, etc). I have tasted all of the products included in my photographs, and they are indeed of high quality. Some are imported (like the berry tarts or the cheesy potato tots), others are probably private-labeled for Walmart. I encourage you to try these, and I think you may not be dissapointed! Of course, this is Walmart, so this store was very crowded and hectic. However, I was pleasantly surprised about the availability of parking (which was free when I went on a Sunday; otherwise, you get 2 courtesy hours) and how spacious were the elevators, which opened right inside the store.

They need to have a more friendly approach!

The Whole Foods at this location can be hit/miss - check the expiration date! This store sells food…read morepast their expiration date as I purchased a small bag of tortilla chips on 2/28 (it was made on 1/24) that expired on 2/24 and I saw another bag with the same expiration date on 3/17. Food shouldn't be on shelves weeks past their expiration date and this isn't an isolated incident. While the self-serve pastries are alluring, they can be deceptively stale. I've spotted little fruit swarming over them. I would carefully inspect the pastry before committing. The breads, cakes, and pastries in the display case are alluring, but sadly a total miss. Skip the the food behind the glass display cases, hubby and I have gotten food poisoning from the Eggplant Parm and Cheese Lasagna. There's a reason why they don't display the best by date. Ask the staff working behind the cases when the food was prepared and they'll give you an honest answer. The food selection at this Whole Foods location is a bit different and the store is smaller than The Boro location. A wide selection of prepared food isn't always available. Sometimes, there isn't grilled mushrooms or cheese lasagna. One time I found a hidden gem, the Sesame Tofu was quite tasty! When the food is fresh, it's good! The guac is hands-down the best and typically prepared fresh that day and keeps very well. Even after it's opened, its retains the fresh bright green for 24 hours and full flavor. Never seen guac hold up so long and most turn into a sad brown mush within an hour of opening. The small bag of fresh tortilla chips are tasty! The flour and corn tortillas are the best of both worlds, they are nice and stretchy with a subtle corn flavor. The fresh Minestrone Veggie soup is always flavorful and filling. The Veggie Chili soup in the cold refrigerated section has a spicy kick! The vegan General Tso Chicken made of soy is really tough and chewy. I always carefully inspect them and look for the large chunky pieces. The hot bar and salad bar can be a hit/miss. It's better to go earlier in the day and to carefully inspect the food. I wasn't a fan of the fire roasted corn or the potato au gratin, the mac and cheese hits the spot! The salad toppings are pretty good, they can add up and quickly get pricey $$$. The selection of fresh squeezed juices, kombucha, teas, and soda alternatives is impressive! I enjoy Seven Seas tea and Olipop strawberry cream soda. Nice wine, cider, and beer selection too! Overall, I enjoy Whole Foods, but pay careful attention to the expiration date!
