This Walmart looked good. They had a sizable parking lot too. They had an impressive selection and variety. I saw a lot of staff there, which indicated they at least seemed attentive to customers. It looked like they typically had awesome products. The store has a good location. Multiple of the staff there seemed to have a good sense of humor. A taller thin LatinX middle aged to older LatinX guy said something really funny. He had me rolling for a when I got back. It was nice he introduced some levity in life. Worst shopping experience of my life. The cashier was only able to ring out $500 worth of groceries, and had to stop for some reason, and had me pay the $500. Mind you, I still had $72 worth of groceries to pay for. So I pay the $500 of my groceries, and then the cashier continue to scan my remaining items. So, I attempt to pay again, using the same OnePay method which I used to pay for my initial $500 worth of groceries. However, this time around, the transaction wouldn't go through - even after several attempts. So after spending $500 at Walmart, I still ended up having to leave $72 worth of groceries behind because Walmart's stupid OnePay failed to successfully complete my second transaction that was completely unneeded to begin with because the cashier stopped scanning my items after the first $500 work of groceries were scanned. I hate Walmart's no tap/scan/digital policy and their OnePay QR code payment system failed to help me complete my grocery list. I'm with my partner at home right now, and we're unable to cook dinner tonight because I was unable to purchase all my groceries this evening at Walmart. Buyer beware - Walmart's OnePay system is a scam - and don't shop here unless you absolutely have to. read more

I should've known not to step in this store again. I was previously shopping with a friend in a different (nicer) Walmart and now I needed to return a couple items. There was an issue with my receipt not scanning properly. While we were trying to resolve the issue, an impatient customer (back in the line) started yelling out insults, and eventually came up right behind me. This older man (about 60 years old) continued intimidating, threatening and harassing me. This continued until the police arrived. The customer service staff member, the lead (Deja), the store manager, and their security all failed me. There was one employee who helped me escalate my request for help when I caught her coming out of the break room. I called Walmart's corporate office to report the incident, but it's been over a week since they said they would call me back. This store is a disgrace. read more

We have nothing but praises for this store. On a recent trip to Illinois, my husband needed to buy a quick shirt and left his prescription glasses in the store. After several phone calls, we connected with an Associate name Shaquita who actually looked for and found the glasses. We live in Georgia and asked if the store could mail the glasses to us. She agreed to check with HR and call me back. She followed through and did everything she promised. She contacted us today to inform that she received permission to mail the glasses to us. Not all customer service is directly related to Point of Sale. Sometimes, it's the extra mile that an employee will go when no one is looking. Thanks Walmart and an even bigger thank you to Shaquita. My review is on the Pharmacy here. The staff in this pharmacy are exemplary. The pharmacist, I think his name is Amit, knows every customer by name and greets them as soon as they enter the pharmacy. He always remembers to ask about my spouse, too. The staff here are very knowledgeable and always helpful. They usually have the cheapest price (whether it's Good Rx or another) already researched for me. And I'm always in & out very quickly. I had a L cart for the items I got and the cart push was walking to be to get the L cart and I did even have the item in my car and he hit me on my leg and pull the L cart away before I had the items in my car. Such rude employees!! Go somewhere else this is not a friendly walmart. First off, with retail if you close at 11pm. you lock your doors at 11. you don't get to walk out the door at 11pm. YOU CLOSE THE STORE AT 11pm. Got to walmart at 11:58 and doors were already locked, all I needed was one item and I knew right where it was. There were still two people checking out and I would've been in and out before one of those two were finished. However when I walked in they stated the store was closed, registers were shut down and no entry after 11(even tho doors were locked before then.) Instead of letting me run and grab my item that would've taken 3 mins of their time they wanted to sit there and argue with me while someone was checking out that took longer. Never let me grab my item and I needed it before 7am when they reopened. Long story, thanks for listening but very rude and not understanding! read more

I went to take back a Christmas present .I had the email with barcode but Walmart would not credit me so I waited 18 minutes for the manager to tell me that Walmart wouldn't take back my item because it's from a 3rd party order. They have lots of variety, good selection, and they also have international products. You can buy anything at their store in such a reasonable prices, and it won't break your pockets. You can save a lot here compared to other stores. Their store is very organized, well-stocked, and always clean. And also their location is so easy to find and go to. They are near to other landmarks around the City. Their staff are so helpful and nice, they are so professionals and knowledgeable with all of the items that they are selling. Every single time I enter this place, I have to say a short prayer in my vehicle that I don't absolutely lose my shit and end up on the 10 O'clock news before leaving. I come here every Saturday to get groceries. I have had a number of amazing experiences here that I could NOT make-up. There was the first time I used the pharmacy. I was getting my pain medication and one of the girls came out from behind the counter and demanded to know what I was getting it for in front of about 20 other people waiting. Then the head pharmacist came out and insisted I tell him. After waiting 45 minutes at this point I was so upset I said in front of 25 people, "I have two herniated discs in my back!" There was the time I walked to the back to get dog food and there was a guy stocking the dog food and a girl across the isle in the baby department and they were loudly talking about another employee dropping the "F" bomb every other word n talking about what a horrible employee this person was and yelling across the isles. There was the time I tried to return a swimming pool and the lady at the customer service desk demanded to know if I purchased it there or somewhere else. I can always count on checking out my own groceries as there is only 25 empty checkouts and their excuse is that their employees don't show up for their shifts. I can guarantee that if I'm looking for anything in the sewing department I'll be sure to have to walk over to electronics to ask for help. Don't forget about the ppl standing in the isles trying to rope me into buying cable. When I ignore them they try even harder while asking me to give them a high five. It's all I can do to stop myself from throwing a can of corn at them as I walk by. You can bet they will be out of at least five items your looking for and as you walk by the stock boys with their headphones on and pants down to their ankles as they eye you up n down n make you feel like ur being sized up for auctioning to the highest bidder. If it's my lucky day I will actually get a checker to check out my groceries, but during the whole process I can always count on a girl they call " Vasi" to be running thru the isles watching the cashiers scan groceries so she can recite all the produce codes to them. If she doesn't thank me 45 times from the checkout to the door for shopping at Walmart, I think she might explode right there in the store. I don't know who's worse. Her or the front end customer service manager who walks back n forth yelling, "Hey Girl!" And walking like he's on the Versace runway in his yellow Walmart vest. The only person I look forward to is the greeter Jennifer who stands at the door bcuz she's so kind n makes sure I'm ok as I have a look of complete horror on my face as I leave the store two hours later. Since I do enjoy some of the perks of Wal-Mart stores, but cannot tolerate the absolute goo which is the Wal-Mart closest to me (in Northlake), I consider coming to this location every-so-often appropriate. And yes, to anyone that thinks this Wal-Mart is bad, visit the Northlake one, then tell me this one is bad. I DARE you! Anyway, a few of the things I like about this Wal-Mart in contrast to the foregoing location: - Not as messy. The store seems kept in tact pretty well. Relatively easy to find things. Cleaner also. - Bigger/not as crowded. There is room to walk around and take your time. Pretty calm atmosphere. - Seemingly friendlier employees. That's not to say that every single employee here is loving life and wearing it on their sleeve. But the overall vibe in this regard is a positive one. That about sums it up. I both grew up and live in areas that are Target-centric, so I've gotten used to Target and often enjoy the selection and experience at each one (even the cramped but decently well stocked location in the Loop). I was in the area and decided to get some essentials (Neutrogena stuff, generic Clorox wipes, etc.) for cheap at this Walmart. The prices here are truly wonderful - most things here are at least $2 cheaper than anywhere else. :) It was also pretty crazy how well stocked the grocery area is - it is enormous and has a huge variety of non-perishable goods. I was surprised, though, at how much perishable stuff was here, such as meat and a produce area that was above average in terms of quality, value, and selection. Of course, my limited experiences with Walmart are never wholly positive, because something about the experience always feels like a hot mess. This is perhaps because Target feels more streamlined somehow. Also, this Walmart in particular felt like a huge, semi-depressing industrial warehouse with overly intense lighting. The aisles were very cramped, too. Target isn't exactly known for its stores' decor, but it often is a bit better of an experience. read more

I have been calling this location for 2 weeks and I've tried every number 1-5 to see if anyone else would answer and nothing! Back in October I bought 2 of the same onesies since fitting rooms are closed due to the virus which I totally understand and when I tried returning stuff I was told they weren't accepting returns at this time due to the virus which once again I understand but wtf why didn't the cashier tell me that before checking out with the clothes I was purchasing! It would have been nice to have been notified and my 90 days is almost up before I can return my stuff and I get no answer! Hung out with a friend in Oak Park. Went to the Walmart in Cicero. It was crazy busy. We wanted a peaceful shopping experience. She had been to this one before an liked it so we traveled to it. From 290, it is not really that bad. It was 13 miles. Took about 20 minutes. So worth it. It was what we wanted -not crazy busy, cute selection of clothes and such. She bought some groceries and I bought a cute T-shirt with pineapples on it. Yay for pineapples! So despite it being a Sunday, this place was not crazy, Good shopping experience. There are any 1/2 stars....This is the location horrific! It's under stocked, filthy and never has enough registers open. The only way to get out quickly which is my goal is to do self checkout. STAY AWAY! This is the most poorly run Walmart I have ever seen in my life. Went in the middle of the night to pick up a bunch of cleaning supplies, and I had quite a few items in my cart. There were NO cashiers available, self-service only, and every single item seemed to have issues when I went to bag it. Total waste of my time. Ended up walking out and leaving the $200+ worth of cleaning supplies. Walmart "management:" WAKE UP! The $$ you save by not hiring cashiers is costing you LOTS of money. I am going to buy everything at Target in the morning, where they will actually have cashiers working. I'm giving 5 stars because of Amani. I lost my phone while shopping and it's a brand new 11 so I was frantic looking for it. I walked up to Amani who told me to see if CS had it. They didn't. CS told me to talk to the manager on duty who was NO HELP! Told me I had to use my phone to call the police, WHAT PHONE? Hispanic girl maybe 5'1, well Amani was there and she helped me.
