Went today to grab the 8pc Fried Chicken meal for $11.97. I've gotten it a few times. It comes with 2 sides. Not a bad price- and I always dressed it up a little. Today- I let the lady know in the Hot Deli section and she asks me, "Ranch or regular?" I was confused. I pointed to the FRIED CHICKEN - regular - the big ol pile of breasts, thighs etc. she says again, "Ranch or regular" I said "REGULAR FRIED CHICKEN" - pointing again- she then tries to tell me - they don't sell the regular full size chicken in 8 pieces. She continued to try to give me the little chicken wings. I told her I get it often- she was rude and just told me no. So I said NEVER MIND and walked away. But it really bothered me, so I went to customer service and asked about it. The lady there was nice and she told me she didn't have the answer but would help. So I followed her to the deli - the apparent "manager" began to help me. She seemed just as confused as the First Lady. She then proceeded to help another man who walked up AFTER I had already been standing there. Walmart+ Home Delivery is back at the Town Center store & it's reliable. My delivery person Malik is fabulous. I know if he's the assigned driver I will receive my order. Malik is reliable, friendly & helpful. Walmart is very lucky to have him as an employee. It's very convenient to be able to order on line & have a delivery the next day by a store employee in a company truck. They have the distilled water gallons in gallon that are easy open. So many stores have turned to gallon bottles that are impossible to open, especially with a right hand that's not totally recovered from surgery. They have the cat food my babies love in a 30 can box. With 3 cats it's important to have the larger boxes. I love that they will deliver the kitty litter required for my Litter Robot in boxes, rather than bags. They're easier to carry. Because of these heavier products it would be impossible for me to get them from a vehicle into the house. Thank you WalMart & especially my driver Malik. read more

I stopped by Walmart and was surprised they weren't as packed as usual. So that made my shopping experience a little more pleasant. I like the variety in the frozen and grocery section. The lady in the deli was pleasant to speak with while she sliced my meat. The prices on most foods were pretty average. They have regular lines and self checkout. The store has a variety of things like household items, pet items, clothing, camping gear, a pharmacy, and more. I also like that this location has a covered parking garage. So if it's raining or hot out, that's definitely where I'm parking. It was storming, so I parked in the garage and within 5-8 minutes the water was up to my doors. The side parking lots looked like a pool. So **beware***, if it's heavy rain the garage is not the place to park!! Nor is the lot to the side where the pickup area is, I mean that's if you don't want to see your car turn into a boat!! Check them out!! read more

I honestly don't think I've ever been inside this Wal-mart but my mom wanted to come here shopping for some baby items and said they have a huge selection. They did and we ended up spending a few hours wandering around inside picking out baby gifts and seasonal items and getting a few other necessities. Staff were friendly and the store was very clean and orderly. Parking was inside bc I think this store has massive volume but checkout was fast and friendly and the whole experience was A+ as far as WalMart goes. read more

Are you serious?! Who trained you?! My wife ordered a particular Christmas tree model for delivery and was told the item to be delivered was "substituted" and she'd have to return it if she didn't like it. It's not a brand of butter or bananas, people. Are you gonna send someone a Sony TV if they ordered a Samsung? You're taking way too much liberty with this "substitution" thing. It's the closest Walmart to my home, so o do periodically use them. This review is specifically on an order online and pick up service which worked well. An email was sent and pick up was initiated at the side of the store there are signs. The wait was about 5 minutes. The staff loaded. read more

I will leave a one-star review on here and on the way out on the self-checkout kiosk until they upgrade to tap-to-pay. Trying to pay by inserting the chip is such a headache that I literally almost have an aneurysm each time, because it doesn't work 99% of the time, and sometimes the screen/payment processor just freezes when you try to do it. Also, I swear, people have absolutely no sense of self-awareness, like, yall are not the only ones in the store, stop standing around the middle of the aisles and actually look around you!! This is basically the case for most Walmarts, so this review applies to them all. Also, bring back 24 hours!!! read more

I haven't been to this location in a while and usually go to the WM in Chesapeake Edinburgh. I don't know what happened, but this location is much more clean and non-chaotic than I remember from its opening a little ways back! Clean restrooms (in the back of the store only). read more

I waited at the baby section to pick up a sound machine for 30 minuets, the only reason someone came and helped me was because the station was running out of battery from me pushing the help button over and over. After someone came and got the product for me I had to walk with them up to the front and they couldn't get the item to scan so they had to walk to different check out stations and finnaly just manually put in the price. read more

Giving this location a high 3.7 rounding to 4 star rating. Mostly because of the drive up service and staff. I have used this service a handful of times now and I love it. Besides the simple fact that it is extremely convenient for a mom of three, one being an infant, it is the staff and customer service that keeps me returning to this location specifically. I have also shopped inside as well and always find this location neat, clean and put together. Lines are typically long but that's simply because it is a very popular area. Walmart's done an interesting job jamming this store into a very small footprint by adding a two-story parking deck to the side. It's clever but it makes the parking lot in the "front" of the store jam-packed. When you want a great location right near Virginia Beach Town Center, these are the things you have to do. On the inside, this is a massive supercenter with all the usual departments including a full-sized grocery, electronics, personal care and pharmacy, clothing, home office, toys and automotive. Most of the store seemed pretty well stocked, though softlines needs some fluff and fold help. We managed to pick up a couple of things. Weird to have contact lens fluid and windshield wipers in your shopping cart, but that's the Walmart way. As is customary, not nearly enough registers open with a queue of two or three at each one plus seven or so people waiting at the self-checkout. For a change, the self-checkout worked fine for me and did not need any associate help. read more

I love it here! I may have visited this store two handful of times, but each time my visit has been super successful! My last visit, I found a couple of shirts and picked up a few other items and spent less than $10.00 Talk about super savers!! I visited during the week around 1 pm and the store was super busy. My only side eye about this location is the parking... craziness!! The mini parking lot in front of the store, always fills quickly and it's super small. But I still circle the lot at least twice in hopes of finding a parking space. Overflow parking is available adjacent to the entrance. Be careful crossing the street. Well be careful in general... it's a whirlwind over here. Also on my last visit, a couple of items did not have a price tag attached. And here I am trying to breeze through the self-checkout line. Well the employee on duty came to my rescue... he punched in a few numbers from the tags of the shirts and wahla! I haven't gotten used to the department locations in the store like the one I'm most familiar with near home... well I visit there at least twice a week... but this store is worth visiting. I was on the hunt for some items and the Wal-Mart near home were sold out... well that's because I brought all of the item. But I came here a few weeks ago and they had plenty... I brought them all too! I'm not sure if this store features a restaurant inside... I'm always focused on my reason for coming in... The employees/cashiers are always available, which is a good thing. I went to buy a USB cable yesterday for my printer and some ink. This Walmart was fully stocked with everything I needed, and I had asked a staff member to open the printer ink case. The entire time with him was very awkward. I could tell that he didn't want to be there. I understand retail can work with some rude customers, but keeping that energy throughout the day isn't healthy. I've never been to Norfolk, and this Walmart made me assume that people from VA are rude. It didn't help that the Hooters next to it also had rude customer service. read more

This Walmart is conveniently located on Virginia Beach Blvd in Virginia Beach. Close to the New Wegman's and Town Center. I will state that even though this Walmart is in a better location than the Walmart I usually go to which is located on East Little Creek and Norfolk. This Walmart is not any better. Location has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the shelves were not stocked and the staff we're clueless as to where the items are located. I have lost count as to how many times I was redirected to find black olives and sandwich wraps. NO ONE KNEW WHERE THE BREAD ISLE WAS! I spoke to 4 workers and was sent back and forth. You know you finally guided me in the right direction. The old woman giving samples by the meat section. She must have got tired seeing me walk passed her like a lost child... Thank You Sample Lady! God Bless you. The self check out section was tiny. They should definitely expand that area. It's cramped and more self check out machines would help with all the traffic at the check out line. The parking lot is lethal. People get real aggressive out there. Your best bet is to park the farthest that you can from the store entrance. All in all I was not impressed with this Walmart. 4821 Va Beach Blvd 23462 Worst experience ever! I ordered 65 inch TV to be delivered on a particular day. Walmart decided good news your order will be delivered today! I'm at work! Why the heck would you do that! I spent 1 hour on my lunch fixing it. The warehouse the store the delivery driver all assured me it was fixed. An hour later I get a call saying good news we are redelivering the order! WHY!!!! So I had to leave my job rush home so the delivery guy didn't leave the 65 inch TV outside! It's always a cesspool in here. The vegetable section is mostly a miss. Everything is either out of stock or rotted out. Walmart is starting to become a loser in almost every aspect. I'll take my business back to Kroger. read more

THE PARKING LOT: Chaotic. Completely packed of course. Shoppers here simply do not put their carts back. You go to pull into an empty space and there's a shopping cart. All around the perimeter there are carts propped up on the curb/half in the lot. THE STORE: Very clean. Organized. I walked the perimeter of the entire store. All of the shelves were fully stocked. When I asked where a product was the store associate walked me directly to the location at least 8 aisles away. This was very much appreciated. I don't like to purchase produce at Walmart ever. But I gave it a try today. Crossing my fingers about this fruit. I thought that checkout would be slow (even in the under 20 items line). The first line was moving so slowly, I moved to a different one. Then I heard behind me "I can take you right here mam" opening up a new line. read more

Walmart has revamped their checkout lanes. There are now only 5 lanes and the rest of them are all self service lanes. What a nightmare! Walmart is....well used to be my one stop shop so we are easily spending $200+ per visit. So I now can either wait in one of 5 lanes for forever or bag all of my own groceries. I have no desire to come back to this place any time in the near future. I had already avoided it for about a month because the lines are always so long just to return back to this lovely surprise. Ummm Well... I don't like Walmart. Too many reasons but I went because hubby swore the light bulb we need IS going to be at Walmart. Welp...it wasn't. We went around 1:00 in the morning and to our surprise, there were decent amount of people shopping. Like all the other Walmarts, it stuff everywhere! There's Pallets of items in the middle of the aisles and you would have to walk all the way around to another aisle to get to something that is only a foot away. Since we were unsuccessful with getting that lightbulb, we picked up snacks. The only registers open were the self check out and again there was a long line. This Wal-Mart is clean and organized. The staff are always friendly. Late at night they only have one lane open so it can become pretty backed up. Their produce section is quite large with a much larger variety than some other Wal-Mart's. There's typically always a greeter and there's a TON of parking including a parking garage and a side lot, however it does fill up quickly if you come during the day on a weekend. Definitely my go to Wal-Mart. :) read more

The entire store was broken down at 6pm on a Sunday! The store is packed, they closed the entire self check out, it took us over an hour to check out with two small children! Had to wait 15 minutes just to get a supervisor to come and clear off where the person rang up our diapers four times! Do not I repeat do not go to the Walmart on Virginia Beach Blvd! That is just bad management! They did have a note AT CHECKOUT that said they apologize for the long wait. Common sense would tell someone to put it up at the front so when people walk in they can see it before they go shop for an hour with a whole cart full of stuff. read more

Their fruits and vegetables are usually well stocked to include some other items. Usually many employees around restocking items. Called for assistance and had to wait over five minutes while several store clerks and associates ate food, gossiped and purchased themselves some items. Don't believe me? Just view the footage between midnight and 1:30. This kind of behavior isn't surprising. The people who stock are more professional. It's nice to come in late at night and see them do their thing. If you ask a question, they are quick to guide you in the right direction. The people who work the registers should take a hint. Or get fired. Or both in that order. Shameful. Pros: usually well staffed. The gentleman that seems to always be working the self checkout area is amazing, always professional and friendly, and has all around great customer service. Overall is usually well stocked. Cons: Seems like a lot of what I want is always out of stock (just my luck apparently). They are usually over run by the carts of those doing the online orders for customers (isles usually blocked by multiples ones being in the way). ABSOLUTELY HATE THE NEW LAYOUT OF THE CASH REGISTERS. They have 5 cash registers and that's it. The rest is all self checkout. I don't mind using self checkout if I have a few items/ small cart full but when I I have a cart full and my only options are wait in line for over 30 minutes to get to a cashier or do it myself and have the register take forever because it hasn't felt that my item was bagged since it weighs next to nothing and then wait for one of two front end employees to come over and put in my age or override a transaction because I skipped bagging too many items large items. I will still come here for a small quick trip but with Wegmans right next door, I'll start doing my big grocery trips there and not feel like Im at work. read more

One of the newest, but already my least favorite of all Walmarts in the Hampton Roads area. Positives: It's clean, and of course new. (According to the cashier, it's only been open a few months.) The products sold here are the usual - groceries, toiletries, clothes, electronics. Negatives: It's really dark inside. I know it's not just me thinking the lights are very dim compared to other Walmart stores. My biggest complaint has to be parking though. It seems like not much thought was put into planning this part. Yes, there is a parking garage, but instead of being directly in front of the store, it's way off to the side, so if raining (as it was today), the shopper and their groceries would get drenched! The parking lot directly in front of the store is tiny, which I'm sure is the reason for the parking garage - but even that was a mess. I'm sure anyone who comes here would agree. I came here with my parents to check it out, and could honestly say I probably wouldn't return to this one. Everything about it is just inconvenient. read more

I love Walmart because it is a one stop shop for almost any of your needs. And you almost can never beat the prices sometimes the prices are Lower by a few cents and then other times it's by dollars so money saved is always good. When I buy products from Walmart they are of pretty good value and can last you awhile depending on what items you are getting. The most I've bought from here on a consistent basis is cleaning products, toiletries items, food , things for organization and some electronics. I've never had any problems out of those items. But if there is a problem you can return them items used or not with a receipt and receive cash or store credit back without any hassle. Walmart offers some variety in there products but not as much I think in regular grocery stores. But another thing I like about Walmart is that you when you ask a question they don't just point you to the were the item is but they will take you there. Very customer service oriented which can save you time in such a big store. Walmart is known to not have lanes open even during busy times of the day. I've haven't had that experience at this location. There are open lanes and also the self -checkout (when it's working properly) open. The parking here can get a little crazy. The middle parking lot near the front of the store fills up very quickly There is a parking garage with 2 levels to the left of the building and also another 2 parking lots on the side and in front of the parking garage. read more

If you are Latino or Hispanic, shop somewhere else for your own safety. They racially profile here unapologetically. They stop every brown person and harass them on the way out, while black people and white people are not stopped. When we were stopped, we stated that we knew our rights, and we were given threats of law enforcement, which we said to bring on, as the police would have only been able to cite the same law that we did. Eventually they gave up, but only after making a huge scene, and all because, again, my spouse and I dared to be Mexican in public, (apparently that's a crime, now). It's disgusting and they'll never receive my family's business again. Also, their selection is also pitifully understocked. Perhaps if their employees spent more time doing their jobs and less time racially harassing customers, maybe they'd stand a chance against the Wegman's that's moving in next door. I was sick at home. Went online to Walmart website and ordered something for my cold and a couple of other items. They had the order ready in less than 30 mins may have even been 20 minutes. My girlfriend was able to pick up my order bring to my house and make it to work on time. I am so thankful for the convenience and the quick action by Walmart to have the order ready. D. This location has a Smartstyle hairdresser, a Subway restaurant inside the Walmart, clean bathroom with a changing table, free private parking lot, a good deal in the active wear department ($12.96 Danskin Now petite black pant in cotton stretch), clean fitting rooms with friendly associates, etc. The best affordable performance quality active wear can be found at Nike or Columbia Sportswear outlets, at Dicks' sporting goods when in clearance or with the C9 by Champion Premium line at Target. read more
