So if you ever plan to order something online and pick it up don't choose this location.. when you call in to inquire about said purchase and they transfer you to 3 different people when you chose the option to talk to someone in pickup, then the person that finally helps you literally has no idea about customer service and tells you if you cant get there by 8pm tomorrow night then they will refund you and you can reorder again but not too because their hours are always 8am-8pm for pickup so you will never get your items and you will always have to reorder..then you ask to talk to a manager and the person hangs up on you.. I know I am not shopping at Target and cant expect a Target experience but Walmart customer service is the bottom of the barrel for grocery... I don't think it can get worse than Walmart... Well it seems my first visit to this location has proven my sporadic trips to the larger Walmart Superstores are not over. While this store is newer, relatively clean and organized it is a bit tight and thus does not carry all items (or perhaps I should say all sizes of items). This will work for quick trips to find many necessities, but you may learn they do not have what you sought (in our case the larger bottle of vitamins for enough less to not buy at a more convenient Target) and you may wind up visiting another store anyway....First world problem, yes, but still good to know. Though we did not interact with them beyond checking out, there were many employees on the floor that particular Sunday. read more

Ordered a package online and had it sent to this store. According to fedex they delivered the package and it was signed for but walmart could not find it. I called their onlline store customer service number and they told me they were sending a replacement. So now I have to wait another week. Not worth the money I'm saving. Outside of this experience, the store is new so that's good. I honestly cannot even express to you how much I cannot stand the store. I will drive all the way across town, 15+ miles just to go to a different store that I know I can stand going to. I have no idea why but every single time that I come here, I have problems with their employees, I see fights or somebody yelling about something. Lines to check out take forevvver and there's always at least one self checkout that's down. I also find it really weird that they offer Cash only self checkouts which definitely slows things down and I'm pretty sure they only do that because they're cheap and didn't want to spend more on the card readers. I also feel like their self check out is really weird because they usually have like a small opening and then all the registers are kind of like in like a boxed circle instead of at other grocery stores they're in lines. I really just don't like this set up because if somebody walks up behind you you probably didn't even know that they were coming at you. I'm not a very jumpy person but I feel like I constantly have to keep looking behind me in this kind of set up. I understand that none of this is like super large but it's definitely enough to keep me from coming back here. I was a few days outside of my 3 month return window And customer service employees said that there's nothing they can do about it. I still had my receipt and tags were still on the items and in perfect condition to be resold and they refused to call up a supervisor when I asked for help. I ended up calling an 800 number to their customer service and they told me that it's really up to the store managers to make that final decision and these girls behind the counter really honestly refused to get a manager up there. They gave me excuse after excuseJust so that they didn't have to call a manager up there. Maybe their manager doesn't like to deal with things like that and they didn't want to bother them or they just didn't want to bother them for any other reason and I didn't really like that and that rubbed me the wrong way. Second time I have been here and not ONE PERSON in the ENTIRE store has a key to the dressing room? How is that even possible? Even spoke to a manager (after asking 3 employees to page someone to the dressing rooms) who basically told me that HIS manager wasn't answering him. I wasn't even allowed to go to the bathroom to try them on instead. Meanwhile, 4 other people are waiting standing by the dressing rooms and no one even had the courtesy to tell anyone until I tracked down the manager and then told the other customers waiting. This certainly isn't the most spacious walmart in the area, though that's hardly its only or its biggest problem. For one thing, one can hardly ever find an employee walking around to help them, I've walked out empty-handed many times just because I couldn't get help. I'll want to buy something from the video game case, but since all the employees in the electronics section hover around the electronics counter rather than roam their department, I'll be less inclined to buy games. Ditto for their lackluster sporting goods section, I had to figure out for myself how to get a bike out of the display. Underwhelming customer service aside, the employees are friendly and I've even seen them open up a register when queue lines got too long (not something the chain is known for) which surprised me. read more

Associates are NOT trained correctly whatsoever. Wrong product was sold to the company I work for not once but TWICE! And then was told I could not return it when the associate who sold it to me assured me twice that I had a fifteen day return window. CSM was kind enough to make a return the first time as a one-time thing which was amazing, kudos to her for her customer service. My sons battery died so I had to take him to Walmart because that's what was open to get a new battery for his SUV the young man that was back there told him his battery had a five year warranty on it three years complete replacement after that if it's over that then they prorate it took the battery back because it's only been over a little over a year it's got a bad cell and they wouldn't take it back He even had the receipt showing when he bought the battery .so I called tried to talk to someone was hung up on three times after waiting finally got through they gave me aManager or what they said was a manager all I talk to was a woman that was the nastiest person if that's the type of managers they have then they better Someone who can talk to the public with respect so I called the corporate office to make a complaint the young lady that I talk to with very nice and meticulous with what I was to do and if that didn't work we have to escalate the problem which doesn't help someone that needs the battery in his car to get back-and-forth to work I think companies need to stand behind what they sell. This is my fourth horrible visit to this specific Walmart location recently. And I only go here for the convenience. Clearly, customer service is not their thing. First of all, one of the visits I had misplaced my car keys while shopping (go ahead, laugh!) But I had spent a pretty large amount of money already, so when I started asking around to the employees, no one would help or even offer to help look around the areas I shopped. I understand, it's not their problem... However, two people did not even know how to call for another employee to check if they seen any keys around. They did not know how to use their own pager/walky-talky. Someone even asked "well do you have a spare key in your car." Really!? And if I did it would be locked in the car right? I also had my house key and other keys missing as well. I had my 5 year old, impatient, fussy, and hyper son with me as well. As a single mom running around this stupid store for a couple hours and spending a large amount of money, someone should have had the decency to try to assist. That is what good customer service is... Apparently not. ALSO, other than the rudeness of the employees on the night shift (which is when I often visit since I work late) but on another particular visit I simply walked over to a couple of employees which I passed several times while I was shopping around. They were standing there in an aisle talking about random stupid things for at least an hour while I shopped in the clothing department for an important dress shirt for a meeting at work (along with socks, bras, and underwear) in which I asked if it would possible to let me try on JUST the dress shirt real quick. One of employees pointed to the guy she was with, and he sarcastically replied, "No. That's why the sign is on the door. It's closed." I advised him (thinking that clearly when I approached them I wasn't even near the damn door) that I did not see the sign, that the other 2 Walmarts I usually go to let me if it's super quick or if I just have one single item to test real quick. It's never an "inconvenience" for them and they will find an employee who is not doing anything to let me in for that one second. He said, "Oh. We don't do that here. No one is working in that station. Sorry." OK. That sucks... but it is no problem and I completely understand the security measures.. The poor choice of words paired with the sarcasm and tone of voice will have me boycotting this Walmart. Multiple of your employees are standing around taking about pointless things, doing nothing, including the store manager!!! While it is SLOW, and some of them are stocking and cleaning, none of them, not ANYONE had any time to ask ANY random customer in the store if they could help them find anything, let alone a simple, "HI." Also, I did notice as I was approaching the store there was a lone customer pushing a cart out of the door with some fairly large items. He was an elderly man. One of the bigger items fell off of the cart and he struggled to get that picked up while holding onto the cart with the other larger items. Poor guy. I did not see anyone assist him, not even the Walmart employees that are near the store entrance. I have to wonder if he was even offered any type of assistance to help load these things into his car or make sure the cart with the large bulky items reached his car... Or even to make sure he was ok getting to his car with no trouble, with other people watching him, as whatever he had must have been expensive!!!! I just want to point this out as well. I really hope someone actually reviews these and pays attention to the type of people they are hiring. I must say, I have never ever had a bad experience with the day/morning/mid day workers. Looking at other reviews....Well. Hopefully things change here, but I am not expecting it to. I was super excited to see a Walmart in Westerville! More often than not, things are out of stock, the Walmart itself is smaller so I did not expect them to have as much as bigger and better Walmarts. Things are unorganized and not in the correct spot or tagged wrong. I am impressed with how hard the cleaners at night work though. You can at least get a "hi" or a smile out of them from time to time. Parking is OK. It's usually packed full. Convenience is great. They are usually on top of getting enough carts back inside to have available. And I usually see some Westerville cops driving around there to keep a look out. Bottom line is, I wish I could give 0 stars regarding customer service. I will continue to go the the Walmart Super Center on route 23, Lewis Center area. They have a better selection, better management, much better customer service, better assistance, and I have never had anyone be sarcastic or rude there! They always have things in stock, they are always someone smiling or saying that simple "hi." read more

I find this Walmart to be OK. It is a superstore with grocery and department store merchandise. It is a smaller scaled down size, so the steps to follow your shopping list will be shorter. The store is clean. The employees have always been facetime friendly. Perhaps the number of shoppers, transactions, or square footage determines the number of employees. On 3 separate occasions, I have overheard employees discussing management problems. Expect to find only one person covering a department. Often more than one department. Forget about it if that person is at lunch while another covers her 2 departments, and the 2 from the one on break. Especially if there is a key needed to unlock a case, or a question to be answered. Bring a cart in from outside with you. The majority are usually still outside, waiting for someone to finish a task, before they can bring them in. There are plenty of roomy handicap spaces. Recently I was shopping for a specific bike helmet. The website showed it only available on the farthest side of town. It could not ship to home, but to your store in 8 days. On a whim I looked and found 3 at this location. I looked up a grill in the store. It showed not available at this store. One on display. 2 in the shelf. This may be a blessing for that elusive, must have, item that everyone is searching for. If you are a bulk buyer, you must settle. My wife's flavored water is on sale, but only 2 cases of 20 are available after the truck was just unloaded. "We should get more in 2 days". Make another trip, and hope it arrived, or wasn't claimed by another. In a nut... It's a small superstore. read more

Unlike most Walmarts' this location is clean & have friendly staff. But you can only come here for convenient items. Due to the small size they don't have much inventory! The customer service line is generally not to long. This location is more about convenience since it's close to my home, but when I need more options the one in Lewis Center is fairly close (especially since they finally finished a lot of the construction on 23). read more

Horrible cashier did not speak and slammed my groceries into the bags, making my gallon of water burst and get all over my food and clothes. She ignored me when I asked for another gallon. She ignored my request the first 2 times I asked her to double bag my food since she wanted to fill the bags up to capacity making them tear as I picked them up. I ended up leaving the cart of groceries there and went to different store to buy food. read more

This location is terrible. The real estate location is great. I like Walmart and the company is impressive and unfairly gets a bad rep. This particular location is new and has already garnered a reputation for bad produce and a horrible checkout experience. It is so bad it is laughable. Produce consistently has tons of out of stocks, hard to find ripe bananas, most items seem to be mishandled and rot before they can ripen or be used. Clearly this location has lacked a competent produce manager for a long time. Front-end is equally as bad though in the past year hasn't been as rough as when the first opened. You can still expect to encounter employees that don't look at you, and don't seem to have any training at all...it is clearly all do to poor in-store management. Now that they've hired enough cashiers the experience goes like this you'll walk up and there will be an employee or two standing at the entrance to the lane just looking around or more typically staring at the ground. This indicates lazy management that insist on certain behaviors without properly training staff. In case you or Wal-Mart are wondering cashiers should say " hi, my lane is open. I can ring you out right here if you like" furthermore, they should greet you when they encounter you after standing in line and beginning to checkout. The selection at these mini walmarts is terrible, with the product sizes and selections available designed to drive up your grocery bill. read more

This is the worst Walmart i have EVER been to. Ive tried so hard to endure it but Things need to change ASAP. I can't take it anymore. If people do not want to work there please get another job. I purchased a PS4 game for my daughter yesterday online to be picked up at the store. I ordered it around noon and it took until 8:20PM for the confirmation that it was ready to be picked up. We got there at 8:34, there were 9 people in line. One computer was down so only 1 customer service rep was helping people. The second rep was trying to get a manager to help but no one would come to her aid. After standing in line for an HOUR, we were given the game that was already in a bag. As we were walking out, my daughter opened the bag and took out the game. The game popped open (no shrink wrap on it or tape securing the game). She showed it to me and it was damaged. We went back to the customer service counter and showed them the game. I advised that we would go back and get a different one. We came back and the rep said she would need a manager to do the exchange. At that point I inspected the game further. It was not the game CD at all, but rather someone's damaged illegally downloaded Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and it appeared that a dog had chewed on one end. (I have included a picture.) After the rep called for a manager several more times over another 5 minutes, Tanya (picture attached), the "Customer Service Manager" finally came to the desk and said that because we opened it there is nothing she could do about it. I finally got upset and advised that it was already opened because an employee (had to) knowingly is trying to give us an illegally copied DVD instead of the game we purchased. I advised again that the case was already opened. The customer service rep told Tanya that there is no way we even had time to open the case if it was in its proper packaging but Tanya insisted that because it was opened there was nothing that could be done. I told Tanya that I am not taking the disk they are trying to sell to me. She told the customer service representative to get my name...I gave the information and asked when someone would follow up with me and she said within 48 hours. I left disgusted and humiliated with a daughter that was in tears because of the accusatory manner Tanya handled the situation. She made it sound as though we are thieves in front of the entire line of 15+ people and two other employees. Tanya should be severely reprimanded if not terminated. She is a "manager" that does not want to come to solve problems and just exasperated the entire issue with your horrible attitude and tone. DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A THIEF WHEN THE THIEF WORKS THERE. read more

I've been to this Walmart store a handful of times. Despite being smaller compared to other Walmart stores, this location can provide a satisfactory shopping experience. This store carries the necessary items a typical Walmart shopper purchases. Yesterday, I did this here as well as buying other items I wasn't planning on purchasing, but bought them after contemplating that I needed them. This Walmart is THE WORST! I have been going to this Walmart since it opened because I live about 2 miles away. I figured it would be more convenient since it is so close however it is much worse. Because their inventory is out ALL THE TIME you have to go to multiple places to get different items when it should be all in one place. The workers are nowhere to be found when you need help locating something.... It is a legit man hunt to track them down in the store. Then once you find them they have no idea where the merchandise is and they give much attitude. It is frustrating going to a store that is constantly out of items. I tried for a solid 6 weeks to get a specific toothbrush and it still has yet to be stocked. And at night their customer service at the registers are awful! Needless to say I wont give them anymore of my money... Well they don't get much anyway since there is nothing to buy because its gone and never restocked. read more
