3 is kinda generous. There's so much they don't have. When you do a search, I think more stuff comes up that you have to buy via mail, usually at ridiculous prices. Many charge shipping on top of it. i.e. Duncan Hines Orange cake mix for $7.95. For a cake mix? They're also really pushing Great Value. Tried to buy lunch meat from the counter, woman wouldn't help me, just kept saying I'm all by myself and got too much too do. When I checked out cashier asked if I got everything I needed and told her what happened she just said SORRY-!!!, Worst response you can give,I suggested we talk to a manager and he just lightly shook her head no. Bought larger item, called for pick up, waited 20 minutes and ended up finding a pallet jack ourselves, and loaded up ourselves to pay for it. Once up front, help was offered, but then again, never arrived...so we loaded the truck ourselves...never to return. read more

This is my first attempt in ordering online from Walmart and picking up from the store. I chose to order from Walmart instead of Amazon because the order was for our vacation home, and we didn't want a package sitting on the porch for several days. Picking the item up from the local Walmart seemed like the better choice.... or so I thought. Ordering online was simple, as was the payment process. On Wednesday I received a call from Walmart that the items arrived (Scott's Turf Builder Tall Fescue, four bags) one bag was damaged but they didn't see any loss of product. That was a great heads up, and since there was no loss of product I told them I would still accept it, damaged bag and all. Saturday I arrived at the store... went to the Orange Tower to pick up my order... for ten minutes the screen said processing. I requested assistance via their point of sale computer.... after 5 minutes no one came. I then asked an employee for assistance, they requested someone to come to the "Tower". In about 5 minutes someone finally came to help. He had to retrieve my order from the back room. The total time to pickup my online order an Epic 25 minutes. If Walmart wants to complete with Amazon, they need to get the bugs out of this system. I truly expected more from Walmart. The Orange Tower looked impressive, but from my experience, it was the Orange Temple of Doom!! read more

This location was surprisingly large for the population size of Rapids. It appeared to be newer and things were clean and well-kept, at least in comparison to many of the Walmarts I have spent time in. That seems to be a trend in smaller towns - when my parents lived in Shawano the Walmart there was also usually in better condition than almost any location in Madison; maybe it's because everybody knows everybody? I digress. We mainly made our trip to get some time away from the campground we were staying at near Arkdale because I get antsy just sitting around a campfire for days on end. We took a casual stroll around the store and ended up buying a men's shirt pattern. *shrugs* This location is open 24 hours and has groceries, so while it may be a bit of a drive it's good know that if I ever need something desperately while camping I'm not held to the early hours of rural Wisconsin. Prices are what you'd expect for Walmart and they've got just about everything you could need. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this store. I travel for my business, and at times, need to stop for something I forgot to pack. The Walmarts I have stopped at, can't hold a candle to this one. They are dirty, the help is usually rude, and never enough check outs. This store on the other hand, is very clean all the time, and I can always find someone to help me when needed. Since COVID, it has been hard to keep the shelves stocked, but they do their best. If I question an out of stock item, they check inventory, and at times, had the item in the back and brought it out to me. The few times I placed an order for pickup, they were on time, courteous, and except a few items, had everything I needed. Whenever the checkout lines inside the store were getting long, they called more employees to assist checkout. I like their pharmacy too. I get reminder calls when my pills run low if I forget to refill them. If the line to pickup meds get too long, they step up to assist checking out faster. Always someone there to answer health or medication questions. My 'hats off' to our Walmart. Happy to have you here read more

Seems to me the place is poorly staffed. Every time I go in for an oil change it's a 2-3 hour wait. I have 3 people at the counter and office but only 1 mechanic. I realize every place is understaffed without quality technicians. But I find it hard to believe that can't find one person who can do routine oil changes quickly. UPDATED INFO: I've been to the store about a dozen times over the last 5 years, but haven't been there in about a year, so this review would be based on that information. The store isn't always stocked, and I haven't been back in the middle of the night in quite some time, but the daytime and 2nd shift employees who work there have been helpful. When my husband and I were OTR, we needed a place to park our semi for a few days once and they let us keep it in the parking lot, which was really cool of them. The store was also nicely cleaned, and I told the manager I've seen hundreds of Walmarts across this country and the Wisconsin Rapids was the cleanest I'd seen. read more

Went to purchase 2 new tires for my Ford pick up truck. They have great prices for 4 days. Walmart policy is, since vehicle has 4 wheel drive, which is on-demand, you must buy 4 tires. They beat them selves out of about a $300. Sale. Oh well, there is a shop right across the street. Nice to have a company policy that costs the company sales. read more

It was worse than not good. I put in a delivery order. It was supposed to arrive between 7 and 8 pm. I called the store because I had no update wondering what was going on. The person on the phone said they were 45 minutes behind. Then I was transferred to the department. I was on the crabby sick due to being ill and could barely talk. At first she told me 45 minutes and then later in the conversation they changed it to 2 to 3 hours. I asked if they even had them ready and if so I would send someone to pick them up. They then told me that they just couldn't go get my items. They couldn't even give a time when they would come the next day. How can you expect someone to be home if they don't give you a time? The told me to call back in the morning. Then they send the substitutions thing at 6:30 in the morning. I called them to tell them I didn't want some of the substitutions. I got them anyway and had to pay for them. I filed a complaint and they told me I would get an email 24 to 48 hours. As you can guess I never received anything. They were rude. I personally will not use them or shop there again. If I have to go out of town or order from somewhere else and wait longer or pay more so be it. read more

I love shopping at this Walmart. I use the savings catcher app, and get shopkicks every time I go. I can almost always find everything I need at affordable prices for my family. However the customer service isn't always great. Employees don't offer much help, sometimes when I ask it seems like I'm a burden, and there's never enough check out lanes open. read more

The no wait oil change is a joke. They have three guys working but only one of them is working on a car at a time. Looks like it's going to be almost 2 hours from the time I got in line and there was one car inside and one outside in front of me. They have two bays open for oil changes but only one being used. Stopped here about a week ago and they told me it would be about 2 hours. So I can only imagine how long it would have been then. read more

Walmart covers most of my needs, and usually at a fair price. I like the idea of one stop shopping. But I do not like the beef at Walmart. Or them putting in that pink dye, into the hamburger. Also don't like the idea of where their produce comes from. And then the vitamins....I don't know who thought of this, just filling the shelves in the vitamins section is just bad. There needs to be some form of ryhme & reason. They are scattered all over the place on the shelves. Whatever happened to stocking them alphabetically, so one can simply find what we need. But no it is scattered all over the place. It's much easier to take my business elsewheres. That & there is NEVER enough check out lines open. read more

Pros: they got it all -food -toys -clothes -guns -bikes -watermelon flavored Extra gum!!!!! Cons: parking lot was there for 15 minutes and someone stole my tail gate. Like its gone gone. Like never to be seen again. Like if I even tried to find it I would maybe find it in Turkmenistan. If I did find it there some old trader dude would props want 50 shekels or something for it. Con2: toilet paper fort???? made a sick toilet paper fort in aisle 7. This was better than the Great Trump wall And the Great Wall of china combined. I left to get a soda, as building something this awesome makes a man quite parched, and when I came back it was destroyed. There was blood everywhere the people of my town were murdered like the mongols did to the people of merv. I was rather salty but got over the loss and will challenge anyone to a fort building competition if they would like to see my skills in action. Hit or miss with service. There is only one gentleman in the auto service who actually seems to like his job. He will be the only one who greets you with a hello vs a did you need something. I've never seen so many customers waiting and simply ignored by the staff. I loathe going to Walmart. Reminded every time why. read more

The folks in the pharmacy here are amazing. Especially Cheryl who is a specialist in sorting out insurance issues. Can't say enough good stuff about these folks. Their service is great and they really know what they're doing. Think about it. How many of the so called professionals you deal with today can you say that about?
