Lufkin Mall is a small regional mall - the only mall between Houston and Tyler. Its an older…read morefacility which has been well maintained, although with not any major improvements since it was built in the 70s. The food court has standard mall fare - Corndog 7, Chick-Fil-A, China Max, Great American Cookie Company, a sit-down Mexican restaurant, and a couple other places. Anchor stores include JC Penny, TJ Maxx, Sears, Bealls (Palais Royal) and Baskins. There's a small arcade/indoor playground, as well as several jewlery stores, small clothing/accessory stores: Hot Topic, Journey, Kirklands, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Bath & Bodyworks and The Buckle. There's also a 9 Theater Cinema owned by Carmike, which probably hasnt been remodeled since the 1970s. All in all it holds nothing next to a mall in Houston or Dallas, but given that its in the middle of East Texas, and there are not any other malls around for about 100 miles, its not bad. In fact, it most certainly could be worse.

"Not Worth the Stop -- Very Disappointing"…read more Not impressed at all. We're here on vacation and decided to stop by for some shopping, but this mall is definitely a no go for us. There were many shops for lease and not nearly enough stores to make the visit worthwhile. We researched it beforehand and saw that it supposedly had two floors -- it doesn't. The layout was underwhelming and felt pretty empty. The only thing that made the stop even slightly worth it was the very small indoor free playground, which gave our kids a chance to burn some energy before we continued our trip. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this mall. It's not worth the time if you're looking for real shopping options or a full mall experience.
