Scurrying through this Walmart pre-hurricane was CHAOS. I mean that's to be expected of course, but I was surprised to see that there were only a few checkout lanes open. Wish I could give this branch ZERO stars. This is by far the worst Walmart in Carrollwood area! We just stood 45 minutes in line to check out., ONLY ONE CASHIER working every time I go there, all other lines are red, but yet they feel like they need several people to triple check receipts at the door! Pharmacy is horrible, there's always a problem or a delay getting meds. Oh and good luck finding someone who speaks one word of ENGLISH here. If you don't understand Spanish, you can't get any assistance. Awful!! read more

Once again it's on!! *** I want to start with this disclaimer i am a fan of Walmart when it comes to easy access and affordable prices. I will never be on the band wagon of those who hate Walmart and always jas something negative to say about the company as a whole. I will choose Walmart over any other brand for many reason that i will not mention in this review*** Now I've been to this Walmart on four occasions and three out of the four has been the exact same experience. Terribly managed Crowded only around checking out. Store always being actively stocked up with pallets all in the isle with customers and associates trying to do their thing. Which can be looked at as a positive thing but not if you're shopping and can't get down certain isles because of pallets and people lol. Nevertheless if i had to go to this location again it would probably be once this store opens and nobody else is here because that may be the only time you can go in and out. read more

Love that I can hop into here before work in the morning since located very close. I'd recommend coming early morning to this location as this gets VERY crowded and the location is not very good to get in and out of on Dale Mabry. Just a very busy area and they're doing some construction which makes it worse. Given the location, however the store is maintained and kept pretty clean and organized. Like that they have grocery available as well. Self checkout is also typically the only thing opened in the morning. Staff greets you when you walk in which is also nice. I had a hard time originally locating the toy section as it's actually located out in the garden area, FYI. :) read more

Service is terrible. Check cashing machine is always down. Associates don't speak or understand English at all at a business in America.

Parked next to outdoor entrance and walked up and wasn't allowed in that entrance, no sign just someone inside saying no. Among all the problems this location has just proves how horrible it is. read more

Smaller than normal Wal-Mart Superstore but they have outstanding customer service. Can be lengthy checkout after normal hours, but still enjoy this location. Grocery section a little smaller than normal but selection is awesome. read more

Visited your store @ 8220 n Dale Mabry Tampa Florida. When's there to purchase a vacuum cleaner Tried to get a cart to carry it. Pulled on three but all had bad wheels is decided I would carry it. Checked out at register that was three away from the front door. Walked out with vacuum On my shoulder and a bag in my hand. Was stoped leaving and asked for my receipt. Had to put down the vacuum to get the receipt from my pocket to prove I purchased it at a register ten feet away. This will be the last time I will shop ANY walmart. read more

Now, I've had some challenging times at Wal-Marts across the country. Some are better than others. But this has to be the worst experience that I've had at a Wal-Mart! I was in the electronic section buying a few things and I had a question about the return policy. The cashier didn't know and it seemed like she didn't know how to call a manager over the phone. So she stopped several of her co-workers who happened to be passing by and asked for them to find a manager. Needless to say, not one of them ever came back. I was waiting in line for over 25 minutes! If I only had a few things, I would have just left. While I was in line, I decided to call the store to see if I can speak with a manager to answer my simple question, but I was on hold for so long, the phone hung up. A manager finally comes over. His name was Matthew. I told him that I was in line for over 25 minutes and his staff could not locate any managers. His response was "I never heard them call me." There was no apology. There was just a sense of indifference. I won't say that I'll never come back to this Walmart but I sure as h*** won't have a f****** question! read more

I have been trying for 45 minutes to reach a live person in store #1960 in Tampa. NO ONE in the store answers but the pharmacy! I called corporate and all they did was send an email to the store. Are you kidding? So you send an email and I have to keep calling for how long until someone reads your email and answers the phone? Store 4681, Also in Tampa, FL just as bad! Walmart corporate does NOT care about customer service and satisfaction so why would their stores???? I'll pay the extra 3 cents (which is what Walmart uses so they can say they have cheaper prices) and go back to TARGET where they ALWAYS answer the phone and take care of their customers! read more

Been on hold for an approx 30 mins, Transferred me 4 times to Customer service, they picked up but put phone down and now for the last 15 mins I hear Spanish speakers in the background. Please fix your air conditioners... half of your store is so hot that even your employees are sweating while working... that's not ok MR. big corporate.... also, it REEKS of pesticide or some kind of chemical in the store near the make up and toys... why is this even happening? There needs to be some kind of morale boost meeting too with your employees, they clearly HATE their jobs and their customers. I've also seen an employee standing in makeup PAINTING HER NAILS WITH POLISH THAT IS FOR SALE! WTF is that? Is security not watching your cameras? They need to watch your employees. read more

I have had two opportunities in the past week to deal with the Customer Care employees in the Pharmacy. On both occasions, I found them to be Cold and unfriendly. They do not appear to be interested in the patient or the shopping experience. I have observed that most of the employees at this location are the same. I would rather visit the Dentist than walk into this store. read more

So my mother and I visited this store today, and the least I can say is this left us both extremely annoyed, embarrassed, and disappointed. To begin, we first rolled through the checkout and had our items scanned. However, when my mother pulled out her wallet to discover her card missing, our cashier promptly sighed and rolled her eyes. That WOULD be enough to end this review right here, but let me tell you that this only gets WORSE. After we had politely ignored her act, my mom pulled out her phone and curtly moved our cart to stand to the side while she pulled up a mobile paying app. And you think she would appreciate that, but we instead received a stare, and an attitude fueled "Are you going to stand there?" That's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to embarrassment. After we took along ten minutes to pull up and sign into the app, we politely went to the end of the line and waited for our turn to come up again. This time, when we got to the register, mother pulled out the app and signed in. Now, instead of a sigh, we got a petty finger tap against the register. Oh, honey, no. As the card popped up on mom's phone, this cashier pulled out the "Walmart Pay" screen on the register and allowed us to scan the code. HOWEVER, when the card didn't connect, we questioned if the system was working. She said "Are you using Walmart Pay?" To which my mother replied "No, my phone should be able to work with any register." We got a shrug and another sigh. With other customers pulling up behind us, we asked her to suspend the purchase and stepped off to the side again. Now this is where this goes from embarrassing to downright humiliating. As the rude cashier rung up the woman and her son behind us, she consistently gave us side eyes, causing the cashier across the isle (we'll call him Sweet Bread), the people behind us, and customers exiting the store to give us dirty looks. Back for round three, we yet again went to the back of the line to wait for our turn. When we got back up to the her, we got ANOTHER eye roll, and the app yet again didn't work. Looking back, Sweet Bread was staring again (which was uncomfortable) and we turned around the corner of the register this time to (again politely) conserve space for other customers. More sighs, and a slight jerk of her head towards us at the next customer, with muttered "these people" in Spanish (guess she figured we didn't speak Spanish?). After a few more attempts with the same results, we asked her after waiting in the line again if she could cancel the transaction and refrain from putting the items away, because mother was going to call up my dad to bring the card to her. The girl didn't like that, and basically shooed us away from the register. Now Sweet Bread was breaking boundaries from across the isle, and creepily looked my mom up and down without her knowledge. Not. Cool. Finally, my dad pulled up front and I grabbed the card from him. When I got back inside, my mother was yet again at the register, and the physical card went through. After paying, we got one final eye roll, and that was the last interaction we had with her. Additionally, this girl continued to comment a sarcastic "Uh huh" throughout this entire ordeal.
