I stuck with this walmart through the poor selection of items. I stuck with this Walmart through adding a bunch of crammed isles. I started shopping elsewhere for certain items when you started locking them in glass cases. But closing the self checkout, PARMANENTLY, your cashier getting pissy with me for asking why, after I stood in line for 15 minutes just to buy a bottle of laundry soap, while the lady in front of me had a full cart, and you don't have express lanes?! I'm done with you. And you have the nerve to still check my 1 item receipt?! You just had me in line for 15 minutes for 1 item!! If you have self check out, fine. Have people at the door to check my receipt. But you close self check out, and only have 3 registers open, I wait 15 minutes in line, and this employee who could open another register is checking my receip. That's you're logic?! I purchased a microwave online. It stopped working. I contacted Walmart customer service online. They informed me that the microwave has a 1 year warranty and I can take it to any Walmart and speak to a manager and they should honor the return since it has a 1 year warranty and to also show my receipt. A few weeks ago, I drove from Santa Barbara to Ventura with my microwave, receipt and my email stating my return should be honored. I spoke to the manager, Victor, and he would not honor the return and hardly would even talk to me. Such a waste of my time to drive out of town and get treated with such poor customer service. I received the absolutely worst customer service ever at this location today. The seemingly supervisor apparently enjoys engaging in arguments with guests. I was conducting a simple return. A month or so ago, I ordered something on their website and later in the day, I picked it up in store. Two hatchimals. I did not end up needing them so I returned to store today to return. I came in with the receipt and waited in line. Once I got called, the original cashier Jorae was very kind but was having issues getting the return to process. Enter Maria. This woman walked up mid transaction and immediately started to make statements that our products were not returnable. She did not investigate or let me know she was going to help me. When it seemed I was being excused and my return was being denied, I expressed concern and confusion. For the next several minutes, Maria continued to engage in arguments. I just wanted to know what the problem was. She just wanted me to know who's boss, and that she was in charge and wanted to dictate the conversations and barking orders to me as if I am her child. I suggested to her that she should be more sensitive to customers, especially working in customer service. Her response: "I am not helping you", and walked away. I dropped off a one use camera on February 4th. I went back to your store on February 12th to see if my film was ready. I kept pushing the service button and after about 15 minutes 2 people showed up. They couldn't find my film and had no idea what happened as they don't work in that department. Today I went again to ask about my film and the young man could not find it anywhere. He checked the log book and saw it had not been logged in correctly. I said you have lost my film and he tried to say that the pictures must not have been able to process which I do not believe. You have lost my film and have no idea where it is; you promised to call but of course you did not. I see no reason to ever again visit a Walmart and i hope anyone trying to develop film reads this before you lose there's as well. read more

I've stopped here a couple times and find this to be an average Wallmart store. It's pretty big and has a lot of stuff. Products are organized and relatively tidy. Parking lot is horrible to get in and out of. Merchandise is cheap in price and quality - I don't come here for high-end stuff. I appreciate that they have a big plastic-bag-recycle bin. I save mine up and then have giant bag-fulls to donate. It can be hard to find a place to go. I came in here last week looking for liquid Vitamin C but didn't find any so I walked out empty handed. :( read more

I placed a online order with delivery to my house. I received a text my order was here. But it wasn't and the photo the driver took showed a front door with no screen. Our had a screen door. When I called the customer service all I got was a person who was rude and lied to me. First she said she couldn't do anything. I asked for her supervisor and a Cher who advised me she'd refund the delivery fee and tip to the driver and I'll get my order the next AM before 9am. I was one of the people who opposed Walmart coming to the old Kmart building simply because the traffic in that location is simply madness. But I can admit when I'm wrong (most of the time) and while the traffic is still crazy and the parking lot is as horrendous as it always has been, I find the convenience of shopping here causing me to change by original opinion, as well as the fact that I have been able to run into this store during lunch and locate what I need with ease and check out through the self pay line and still have time to get back to work within 30 minutes. The prices are cheaper than other retail stores and if your on a budget it's worth a trip in my opinion. Of course I could do without the barrage of people setting up shop outside trying to get us to sign petitions, I realize they have a job to do , but I find it so annoying, Just like those kiosks in the mall trying to reel you in with a free sample , yeah right. So Walmart if you can do anything about that issue it would be greatly appreciated. My biggest word of advice, always be aware of what is around you , while I've been lucky and never had anything happen , I've heard there have been some car break-ins. read more

I went to this Walmart location last week in the morning around 9 with my mom and sons. It was my first time there because it's my moms favorite Walmart. Upon walking in, I loved the layout and how clean and organized everything was compared to the Oxnard location. I paid in the self check out stand. I wasn't even done scanning my things when the attendant immediately came to me and started pointing at items she said I had "forgot" to scan. I wasn't even done scanning my items!!!! I felt so uncomfortable with her putting me on the spot with other costumers staring. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location and stick to Walmart in Oxnard. Where I always feel welcome and not accused of doing something I'm not! There was a gentleman in the electronics area by the layaway. Didn't catch his name. Dear Possible Walmart Customer, Let's be real, Walmart stores tend to attract a type or customer...this location is no different. Being the newest store in VTA county, it's absolutely the cleanest compared to the other 2 stores in Oxnard. The lighting is nice too, personally it seems brighter than other stores I've been in. Because it's more organized I am able to find what I need quicker. I wish they had a bigger and better Garden Department. The department is kinda sad...very small selection of live plants. I will continue to go to Lowes for my plants needs. Prices seem, significantly lower than other stores. Big Lots is probably the closest comparison to Walmart. The biggest downfall about this location is the parking lot....! Walmart shares a parking lot with Trader Joes in the northwest part of the parking lot. A lot of people shop at Trader Joe's and Walmart, hence they definitely need a bigger parking lot. Walmart gets just was much, probably even more customer than TJ's. read more

I came to send money to a family member so I had to get into the customer services line. I don't know why every time I'm here there are a total of 2 employees in this whole building. Lines for customer service is also for returns and sending money. Took 20 mins per person for the most simple transaction. I don't want to put all the fault on the poor employees. Its clearly terrible computers they have in the store in addition to bad management. It took me nearly an hour to send money when there were only 3 people ahead of me today. I stopped in this Walmart on 2/22 approximately 6 p.m. I proceeded to checkout No. 12. The cashier (Marisa) checked out the lady in front of me. She used the hand scanner and scanned her products. After the customer paid Marisa made her grab her items off the conveyor belt. My turn. Marisa did not ask me if I needed a bag. She hand scanned my items. I moved to the bagging area and paid. Marisa told me that i can get my items off the conveyor belt. I asked her to move them to the bagging area. She said that i can come and get them myself off the conveyor belt. I grabbed my items and said, "Oh my God" and she said "Yeah, that's right". I started to walk off then turned around and asked her name, she told me Stacy. I looked at her badge and it said Marisa. I reported her to the manager, wrote a survey review, and will be calling the corporate office. People like Marisa should not be in any type of customer service. To the employee at this Ventura store, a 70-year-old woman with short white hair with the militant attitude: You need to stay home. Commanding a family standing in line to stay 6 feet apart. Then approaching me in the store when you're not wearing a mask to tell me that it's one way in the store aisle? What? Another employee was restocking in the middle of the aisle, I was at the end. And you want me to come back all the way around? Get out of my space! I've witnessed that same woman previously commanding a kid to stop bouncing a ball in the store. It was so over the top and unnecessary. The kid was with his mom. I have no idea why the mother didn't tell her off. Get it together Walmart. Take all the junk useless displays out of the main aisles so that we can keep our distance and shop with ease. Make your employees wear masks. This Walmart does not have Mobile carts for the disabled. I called to complain and I was told to go to the Oxnard store because that was a super Walmart and they would have Mobile carts but because they were a smaller store they do not. Funny, Trader Joe's in the same shopping center have 2 mobile carts even though they are a small store. Walmart is probably 30x larger but can not be bothered to keep Mobile carts for disabled. The service at this location can barely be called "service." I asked for assistance multiple times, only to be left waiting, and stranded in my required department (sporting goods) without my needs, quality of service, customer service or downright human decency being met. With absolutely no employee in sight, and absolutely no employee assistance being offered, I took the initiative and got my items (keys to be made) in order. Once this process was started, no less than 3 (or more) employees walked right by me, either waving, nodding, or ignoring me! It was another 5 to 10 minutes before 3 employees of that department (which previously had 0 employees to assist), confronted me aggressively, nearly shouting and attacking me with such phrases as: "Get out!" "What're you doing here?" "You need to move" Attracting onlookers, while attempting to shame me! All the while not one of these people offered me help or an apology for their behavior, actions, and pure neglect of an entire department. Instead these employees belittled me while waving me to the side. I remained calm although annoyed, and requested employee Crystal call a manager over. Crystal said, "okay" but I did have to request a manager two more times before she did it. Front end supervisor Matt arrived, and sadly didn't seem surprised at the way these employees handled the situation. Seeing as how that wasn't his department, there was little he could do, and that's when assistant store manager Heather arrived. Heather also seemed unfazed at the description of the employees actions, approach, and communication. Furthermore, Heather started to make excuses to justify the situation, without ever talking to the employees. Heather appeared to not care, had a very rude attitude, tone, and demeanor, and when I asked her for more information, she was extremely unhelpful. During this ordeal, another employee by the name of John, passed by me, and while laughing made a joke about me, and at my expense. Sadly it seemed that none of this was taken seriously, and was all just a big joke and an everyday occurrence. I left this store encounter feeling shamed, degraded, humiliated, and utterly upset. Real winners here Front end supervisor Matt seemed to be the only one to empathize the situation, yet had too limited authority to resolve anything, do to it not being his department. As for the assistant manager Heather, she seemed to just overall not care, and left me feeling just as terrible, if not worse, than her employees had shortly before. We all have good and bad days, and are all currently going through so much, which is all the more reason to work together and support one another. I encountered one of the most disrespectful employees ever at this store. His name was Kevin and he was working the front entrance..of all places. I was returning a prior purchase at the customer service desk and because he was too busy fraternizing with a co worker he didn't see me walk thru the frt door. I don't shop at Walmart often but when I need to I will come here. I visited this location on a Saturday, 14 days before Christmas, at around 1:30pm. I was pleasantly surprised. It was not too busy. I shopped the toy department, kids clothing, men's clothing and electronics. The store was pretty neat and low prices you can expect from Walmart. At checkout there was only one person ahead of me. I needed a price check due to an item ringing up at a different price and the cashier went to the floor and returned promptly and made the correction. I would recommend shopping at this location and hopefully you will have a hassle and stress free experience like I did. read more

I ordered a rail for my son's bed 3 weeks ago and went to pick it up today. It was supposed to be at the facility 5 days after I ordered it. I had totally forgotten about it. After finding the "pick up here" sign ( which thankfully was in bright colors) at the back of the store, the employee tried to find my order. Once located, he informed me that it was sent back and that I got a refund because I didn't pick it up on time. Rude phone customer service. I called last night to ask if this store carried air pumps for fish aquariums. I was very polite and nice in the manner in which I spoke. The women on the phone sounded irritated and responded. "No we don't have that" and then just hung up on me. Being that I was leaving Trader Joes anyways, I decided to run in to this store and check for myself. And they actually did have them on the pet food and supplies isle.
