I can't believe that Walmart won't stock the 24 can case of Sams soda in their store. When I asked an assistant manger what the problem was, he stated it was dictated to them by Corporate. Terrible customer service with site-to-store. The first time I ordered something, it took them 40 minutes to find. The second time, I ordered 2 of an item and received one. They would not refund the other. Also, in both cases, managers and employees were arguing, in front of customers, about whose responsibilty some crisis or another was. This Walmart has the convenience of a six station self serve check out that usually makes it easy to get in and out quickly. However, if the self serve is closed there generally is going to be a wait to get checked out. Should be noted that this is a basic Walmart store not a Super Center. read more

I frequently go to this store. I was just there last week and oddly no one greeted me for the first time ever. I was able to find my selections very quickly and there was no waiting at the self check out. The lady who was helping me at the checkout was friendly and helpful. Since my prior review, the Walmart home delivery service has really turned things around. They are still frequently out of commonly ordered items, but the delivery service has greatly improved. Now when you order something on 2 day delivery it actually arrives on time more often than not and they even deliver some items in one day. Very poorly lit parking lot at night and poorly stocked shelves in many departments for the past two months. C'mon, Walmart, your suppliers and distribution channels just aren't keeping up with current demand. I thought you had retail down to a science. What I am seeing, though, is Amazon kicking your big fat behind. Your entire art supply and fabric selection has been completely decimated. Your sewing machines are all gone. Your clothing selection leaves a lot to be desired. Right now, you're almost no better than the K-Mart that used to be at this location. read more

I dug this place it was really clean I dunno what other reviewers were talking about but they mostly spoke of the food area which I didn't go to. Anyway this store had a big selection and really stocked (again something I'm not used to with Walmart lol) I got what i needed (super cheap) found really good deals. Got shirts $3-$1. A pro-glide razor on clearance for $5 instead of $10something. Heard this place opened in Jan. My only hang up was that they didn't have alcohol which was on my list of why i went there and that one of my cheap shirts was almost impossible to purchase because of no tags and upc hard to read. my complaint is about a product that was stocked(inside a glass case) by a Walmart employee incorrectly under a $6.98 price. I asked an employee to open the case for the product and also wanted to see if the price was correct. He pulled out his phone and checked it. It was $19.96. He said since there was more than 3 there they would have to give it to me for the $6.98 price. So since he said he was going to tell the cashier I didn't feel I needed proof of a picture . So I continued shopping and made my way to the register he said he would leave it at. The cashier came up and I asked if my item was here. He rung it up and I saw that he didn't override the price. I asked if the man that bought it up said anything about the price. He left the register to go check and came back with a manager. I told her what happened and why the product should be sold at the price that was on the shelf. she totally dismissed what I said and said she couldn't give it to me for that price. which is totally against California law. I will be filing a complain to consumer affairs. I left the store and did not purchase anything. read more

I'm not surprised it has bad reviews!! They have horrible customer service. They don't honor the prices they have in their website. It was supposed to be a quick stop to get a charger I needed for my husband's computer. He had seen it for $19.97 online. It was in stock at the Walmart in Ventura. I went got it and when I went to self checkout it said it was $29.97. I told the cashier that was there the price was wrong. She told me that in order to get the matching price I need it to add it to my cart online then she will be able to do it. So I did!!! Which to me that's ridiculous because she's looking at it with her own eyes that is the same item but different price. The cashier took her phone out and did exactly what I did!! Added to her shopping cart and it came up to $19.97. She then went ahead and scanned the item with her phone. When she did that it came up different price and different watts. She scanned 3!!!!!!!! TIMES!!! She went on asking other cashiers. At this point I was upset because I was in a hurry!! My husband need it the charger. I was there for almost 30 min. Going to different people and waiting!!!! The guy from electronics eventually showed up. He couldn't honor the price because the item wouldn't come up on his phone!!! At this point I was sooo ANGRY!!!!! If I would have gone to target or Best Buy they would have honor the price because of the differences on price in their websites or because of the wrong pricing in the store. Not this store!!! Not WALMART!!! This is why I don't like shopping at Walmart at all!!! Yes, their prices can be cheaper but their quality is cheap too. I've come across some bad Walmarts in my life but this one gets the distinct pleasure of being the worst in California. This place fought me tooth and nail to avoid a return on an Equate brand product, which Walmart guarantees since it is their brand. Stopped by electronics to check on a Roku device. Oh no..old lady in electronics asking questions! Danger!Alert, Alert! Miguel was busy but he quickly finished helping his customers and answered all my questions, smiling patiently, showed me how it works, how to install it. Took my payment and I left happily. I didn't know Ventura, Ca. could get good reception with an antenna, even with small "rabbit ears" antennas and believe it or not, they cost $1.00 at the 99 cent store! I know that because I cut the cable months back saving myself $100.00 mo. With the little 1.00 rabbit ears antenna I get many great channels with perfect reception. FREE TV! I bought a PS4 video game. When I opened it at home, there was no disc! I immediately called the store to make sure I could bring it in and exchange it. The phone rang over 15 times before someone answered. I explained my situation and waited on hold for 5 minutes before the customer service representative returned to tell me the manager said it wasn't the store's fault and I would have to contact the manufacturer since the package was unopened when they sold it. I looked up the return policy after I got off the phone and found: *Pre-recorded movies, music, and computer/video game software and circuit cartridges must be returned within 90 days in the original and unopened packaging with a receipt to receive a refund or exchange. If the above-referenced items are defective, they can be returned within 90 days with a receipt and the original packaging. Defective units may be exchanged for another unit of the same title. The manager did not honor the store policy. It's not complicated for a store to return the product to the manufacturer as defected. Now I'm going through Walmart corporate customer service to try and resolve this where I already have to wait for the store manager to contact me anywhere from 1-3 business days. This should have been fixed by a quick trip to the store for an exchange. read more

I love this store! It has everything I need, except fresh meat but I don't mind shopping else where for fresh meat. When I was leaving the store I ran into a Walmart hater. It's a 3 way stop to get out at the light and this man was behind me yelling at drivers cause he had to stop to get out at the light he's cussing and screaming every since Walmart came its traffic. Ugh last time I recalled traffic is a part of life and if the hater didn't want to sit and wait his turn he should have went to the three other exits in the shopping center. The store is kept pretty well lately. The parking lot is still pretty crazy. The intersection in the lot before getting to Victoria can be dangerous as well as the turning on Victoria itself. The products at Walmart are all pretty good. I really love their Star Wars shirts. They are only $7.50 and are awesome. The online orders do get things wrong though. They got one of the shirts completely wrong but their online customer service in conjunction with the stores got it taken care of in a matter of minutes. Most impressive. read more

Its too bad a Walmart cant shake their bad rep. This particular one is close to my work, I've been here about a handful of times since its opened and can say I've never had a GREAT experience. Never get asked by anyone if i need help and the times i do need help with something, no one is ever around. I recently went in around 10:30 am to the photo department. needed to transfer my photos from an old cell phone to a CD. My receipt said it would be ready in 1 hour. so i went to work and took a break at around 6:30pm thinking it would be a quick pick up. When i get there the guy looked like he was having a hard time locating my order, mainly was because it wasn't done and said he was going to barely start it and i would have to wait another 30-45 mins. Didn't offer an apology or anything, still managed to have an "i hate my job" attitude so i just took off. When i tried calling in to maybe try and speak to someone, ANYONE who would care about my unpleasant experience, the phone got "disconnected" BOTH times. Never again.. Sticking to Costco for my photo needs. read more

We had ordered an air conditioner ESA410N-L and they shipped an air conditioner of a totally different manufacturer, not even close. At the store the sales associate was not able to help us in any way except to accept the return and only with a manager's override, because the receipt they gave me was for the air conditioner we ordered. And all that had me wasting my time from 6:15pm 9-15-2015 to 7:30pm . And the week we waited for the wrong unit (That would not even fit the window if I was to take it home... Then to find out when if I brought it back, they probably would not accept it because the receipt was for another air conditioner ! #@#$#@&*** Later, after spending more time on the phone they agreed to expedite shipping, but by that time my significant other had one on the way from amazon... cheaper a waste of time considering if they would have scanned the product in the first place, as they can not even sell you anything from walmart without scanning !@#$%&* read more
