The tech was also nice but more knowledgeable, placed my order seamlessly, and took a pic of the list for me for future reference. They have a wide selection of frames, but I'm glad I brought my own, because I liked mine better than anything in the store. I've been a loyal customer here since the Dr. Finch days and the era of the incredibly cool Dave. Even though Dave has retired and his wonderful daughter Jamie now runs the business from behind the scenes, you can absolutely still feel their standards living on through the staff. I walked in fresh from my 'bad breakup' with that other place, and Lex immediately swung into action. She actually repaired my old glasses on the spot (new nose pads and a tighten-up) so I had something to wear while waiting for my order. Then she whisked me over to the contact lens specialist (I am mortified that I forgot your name--please forgive me, I promise to get it right when I pick up my order!) and then to Kim, their amazing Optician. I ended up going all in: transition lenses with new frames AND prescription sunglasses. The whole experience reminded me why I loved interacting with Dave all those years ago. Lesson learned: You can't put a price on this kind of care. This is why supporting local, family-owned businesses is so important. I'm back for good!

The woman who works at BJ's Optical is really friendly and helpful- if you tell her what style you're looking for she can help you find options. Most recently, I came in on a thursday to order a new pair of glasses- and was told the wait time would be about two weeks, but I got a call on saturday that they were ready to pick up! When you go to pick up your glasses, they will fit and adjust the frame to your face. Your glasses also come with a hard case and a little cloth. If you have issues down the line, they are always accommodating and will help tighten or adjust them if need be.

I was told that they're in network with my insurance and they told me to come for two different visits to make sure my insurance covers the procedures they did. There was no need for any advanced procedures as I went for a regular visit. Before every procedure I confirmed with them if my insurance will cover it and they said yes but after 6 months I started getting bills for hundreds of dollars and now they are threatening me with debt collection calls. Disgusting and shameful.

My mom had a difficult time waiting since she is 95 years old. Also when I went to pick up her glasses they no longer give an eye glass case. They put the glasses in a black pouch that has nothing to keep them safe while transporting them home. We will never go back.

She performed a fitting anyway because she threw out my old contacts and I had to pay out of pocket for it. Then I called a little over a year later and needed contacts. Normally I would go in for a visit but I am pregnant and my doctor told me my eyes can change, not to have an eye exam performed because they may change again or go back. So I called to see if I could purchase a box of contacts and the doctor won't fill them because it has been a year and I should come in for an exam. I explained my situation and she still refused. It seems like she is just about making money... so I will be going somewhere else from now on!!

After several tests/pictures of my eyes, Dr Bacho reviewed every picture with me. Explained what he saw and whether it represented a current problem or even a potential problem in the future. We discussed what I should be looking for that would indicate a possible change in my condition and how often we'd need to repeat the tests to confirm whether there had been any changes.
