Memorial Day 2012 holiday visit was full of malicious annoyance amplified by Walmart staff at Westbury, NY. It's not what you say that makes an impact but more so by HOW one projects him/herself. The staff at this particular Walmart cannot uphold their interpersonal skills as magnified by their body language. "NO PHOTOS ARE PERMITTED IN THIS STORE, GOT THAT??!" from a malicious tongue as magnified by this woman's rude scowl look. Furthermore the trial size, travel department is microscopic small where I seek body lotion for the selection was nearly nonexistent. In search of the last item on my daughter's Christmas list and low and behold Westbury Walmart had it as IN STOCK for PICKUP TODAY. I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing. The Mattel Monster High Deadluxe High School is on backorder everywhere...except here! I placed my online order for the Sale Price and within hours Walmart informed that my order was ready for pick up. I called mid day to check on the status of my order and the sales associate was helpful. The order hadn't been filled until after 5:00 p.m. I received my email notification and text and rushed over to the store and I waited in the Pick up line and the sales woman carried out my huge box. This item was $150 and over any other place you can name and sold out everywhere. Westbury. ...You delivered. Thank You! I was asked what keeps me going back as I have checked-in twice. THE PRICE !!!! For any basic needs, i love coming to Walmart. I could get same item for lesser price. The distance from my work is less than a mile.... I could happily spend entire lunch hour break here. For today, I passed by for some camping essential needs. There are only few camping things left as summer season starts this weekend. I managed to get my tarp, my inflatable mattress and basic camping food and beverage. I came to this Wal-Mart to buy food and save money. Little did I know that for some reason this particular Wal-Mart has an incredibly tiny food section. This was a waste of my time. Walmart is a disgusting place to be in general and covid doesn't make it any better. People here don't care and are not compliant with mask protocols so come at your own risk. So many people walk in maskless and I had one guy stand behind me COUGHING without his mask on. I only came to return an item purchased online since I was in the area and the line to return took well over half an hour. It was a very uncomfortable experience and to top it off, when I got to the counter, the worker gave me a stank attitude because I told her I didn't have a physical receipt and needed to give her an order number. This happened on 7/28/2021 at Walmart 1220 Old Country RD, Westbury NY 11590. It was 9:40 AM. She wanted to ask the Walmart Pharmacy Department about my new insurance coverage on medication, and also pay for my Motrin at the pharmacy cashier. Before she could ask any question, the employee with the above ID number shouted at her to take the Motrin to "self-check-out." At that time, there were no other customers waiting for service and she was not pre-occupied with anything. She then raised her voice, grimaced, and told my mother to take the Motrin to self-check-out again. My mother told her she was in pain, and is 60 year old. She frowned and processed the payment. Visited this Walmart for the first time a few days ago. Typical Walmart but when compared to the location in valley stream it is much more welcoming. Less of a crowd, much more friendly crowd, with less congestion. I prefer this Walmart over valley stream. Check out lines move entirely to slowly, and I was in the express check out, 20 items or less. I was in line for 15 minutes and there was five customers ahead of me...:all other check out lines were congested as expected with shopping carts full of groceries. They should find a way to streamline their check out process, express should be express. Hi Friends ..stopping back at this Walmart I had a wonderful shopping experience. First I recommend shopping at the Total Wines next door. Do partake of the many wine and liquor tastings that they have there.. PERFECT ..now you're in the correct frame of mind for HOLIDAY shopping at one of the busiest Walmarts in the area. I had my shopping list in hand and braced myself for the Walmart holiday shopping experience. Very Important to shop for and on the top of Santa's list are Wifey, Mom, Business associates and Friends. The employees at this Buzzy Walmart were very helpful and quickly directed me to where I needed to shop. I made a beeline for the cheesy holiday gift aisle. This wonderful aisle features everything from the zillion Colors eyeliner kit, to THE Larry the Cable Guy BARBECUE set. I can't do without the Corona BEER pong or the Ghirardelli chocolate sleigh.. Can't forget the DELUXE assortment of Star Wars coffee mugs. (Luke ..I am your father). Then off to the Mom's Department. I got her a wonderful red faux fur lined coat with hood, a house dresses that's what she likes. Mom loves those light up watches. I got her a new Indiglo watch, robe, slippers, makeup kit and art supplies. Wifey got a whole bunch of makeup, kits in the little see through case. Shampoos, skin creams in the gift basket. I got her a holiday sweater and cute winter gloves and hat. And a gift card for more shopping later. I got myself a bag of Tate's chocolate chip cookies. Thanks to all the friendly helpful staff at this Walmart today and the lady that pulled out and gave me the parking spot right away. Omg what a disaster this store is , from the second you attempt to walk in especially with a baby carriage and people have zero respect nor consideration, then you try to navigate through the store which is a complete mess , half the items your looking for are sold out , or for example I went to buy my boys bicycles and literally all the "adult" or " teenager" bikes were empty but 2 bikes .. after I went to the frozen food section and half the freezers were empty . It's crazy because there are so many sales associates but it's like there none , there all a mess running around like chickens with out there heads but the worse is check out time . Call 3: I reach the same customer service rep again, I ask to speak with her manager. She asks why. I said Your customer service sucks. She repeats me word for word. She says the manager is working on something nearby and will be right over when she's done. After seven minutes in, the customer service rep picks up asking "how may I help you?" as if I just called in. She re-claimed that the manager will be with me shortly. Eleven minutes in....... "She's picking up for you right now." The switch-over = I spoke to Paren (asst. mgr) and she was most helpful. If only her minions could follow suite - it would make everyone's lives easier (even their own)! -- In general, this store is good when you know what you want to purchase and it's a simple item. But for more complex items, like the one I'm interested in above, it's good to do your due diligence and see if it really is as awesome as the reviews state prior to buying if possible. While some may be disgusted with the condition of your store, I believe it's just the way you are and there isn't much you or any of us can do about that. Yes, your shelves are always disheveled. And your staff is constantly leaving carts & dollies full of merchandise in the middle of the aisles. Oh and your check out lines are unbelievably and annoying long. Would it hurt to open up an extra cash register or two? Lucky for you I have a little thing called "patience." But your prices are pretty fantastic. When I can actually find what I'm looking for (remember those shelves? They're empty more often than not...) my wallet smiles because I've saved myself several dollars. How does one really review Walmart? This was probably my 3rd or 4th visit since I moved to the area over 2 years ago. Same old Walmart, different town. I'm not really a Walmart person. You can get great low prices every time you go, but they don't have the deals that other stores do - BOGO, 50% off, etc. The stores are always a mess - merchandise in random places, pallets in the middle of the aisles and my personal favorite, no prices on half the shelves/items. This is standard for all locations. What I like about the Westbury store - 5 minutes from my house if I ever need to go, and I have been able to get in and out pretty quickly each time I've been there so far. read more

Went directly to the department about exchanging an item which was $40. Estiban and Ladynrose were short and Kurt with us on helpful for not even want to check another store for the item in and started some helping someone else was after us who we heard her tell he was over his limit (didn't have his receipt) with returns yet for the DVD she still refunded him $95 but yet we can even get a store credit for $40 item go figure (which we did). Im shopping for a T.V. At the Walmart at old country road and my daughter asked one of the sales associates for help. One looked at her and walked away. She then asked the support manager of the electronic department to help he said he would find someone to help. Suffice to say we stood there for 30 minutes before I spoke to the manager of the store. Terrible layout. when you 1st walk in it looks plain and dull. You walk right past the return and exchange area, I really enjoy walking pass pissed off people trying to exchange/return their goods.
