While the prices alone would merit 5 stars, I can't look past the disheveled state of the store. Employee don't seem to care about their workplace, and with the way Walmart is said to treat their employees I don't exactly blame them. Walmarts are notoriously large in order to disorient the buyers and keep them trapped in to keep buying unnecessary products. It seems even the most intelligent members of our society also get entangled in Walmart's labyrinth and misunderstand its' role. However, I can count on Walmart for a few things; the prices [which I've heard shortchange a lot of people], and to be able to pick up a bunch of different things in one place. I dropped off film to be developed at store # 3420 about a month ago. I went there twice last week to pick up the photos with the stub I tore off the envelope. They could not find my photos at the store, they took my name and number and looked it up in their system and could not find my order. They advised me to contact walmart.com and when I did, WM.COM advised me to contact the store. I tried calling the stores main number 5 times today and no one ever picked up. I purchased a television and it was the last box available. I noticed the box was open at the top and taped back up so someone obviously returned it for whatever reason. Normally I don't buy opened boxes but since it was last one and the one my daughter wanted, I purchased it against my better judgment because as the cashier said if anything is wrong I could always return or exchange. When I purchased the TV, the cashier never checked the serial number on the TV to make sure it matched the serial number on outside of box. He only scanned the outside of box so that serial number translates to the serial number on my receipt. That night about 6 hours after I purchased, I turned on the new television and noticed the screen is damaged so I quickly packaged back up and attempted to return to the store I purchased it at. My 9 year old daughter was with me when I tried to return it. The customer service cashier asked me to take the TV out of the box to scan the serial number which ended up not matching the serial number on my receipt and outside of the box. She doesn't really know what to say to me so she asks us to stand to the side while she awaits the AP associate. After about 10-15 minutes the AP associate doesn't even come out, the customer service cashier had to go in back again and then proceeds to casually tell me as she handles other customers that I need to call Walmart Corporate. I asked why would I need to do that for something purchased just 6 hours ago and I don't even want my money back I'll take store credit or an exchange toward another TV that isn't broken. I asked to speak with the manager and the customer service cashier goes back to the backroom again where the AP associate was the entire time and customer service cashier comes back out and says "Oh the manager isn't here right now". I then asked if I can speak with whoever is in charge and running this huge store right now on a Friday evening at 730/8pm whether it's an assistant manager or manager. The next thing I know my daughter and i are surrounded by 4 or 5 employees who ask for my story again and when I explain I purchased the open TV box and unknowlingly got it with the wrong serial number. The AP associate then jumps in and says it's a manufacturer issue and I need to call the manufacturer. I thought this was strange not only because I bought the TV 6 hours prior from Walmart not the manufacturer and also just 5 minutes earlier I was told I need to call Walmart Corporate. I could see the manager wasn't available or just not coming out to speak with me so I left and called the manufacturer immediately. They proceed to tell me they've never handled such an issue before and it's definitely an issue that must be resolved by Walmart. I then call Walmart Corporate - Customer Service that night and they log my message but say it's policy to leave the decision up to the store manager who now has 3 business days to respond and contact me. Since this all transpired on Friday 1/14/22, Saturday Sunday and Monday didn't count as business days so I waited until tonight Thursday 1/20/22 to see if I got a response from the store manager. I was expecting the store manager to call me right away to let me know he is investigating and reviewing the facts but will get back to me soon; however, I never got any call or any kind of response so I called Corporate Customer Service again and they confirmed they can see the manager hasn't responded. So now it gets escalated to the market manager (whoever that is) and he/she has 3 business days from now to get back to me. The strange thing about all this is someone at this store at some point had to have accepted this returned TV without checking the serial numbers but then when I tried to return it they held me to a different criteria. Also if they are going to check serial numbers upon return, they should definitely check them when selling them especially if the box is opened and taped back up. They can easily go back to watch the video tapes and see the box was open when I first grabbed it from shelf because I even took a remote or something from the top of the open box and placed it back in. They can also check and see I have no criminal history, no need to try and steal or swap out a TV, and I have no history of returning items. Hopefully they can track the sale and return history for the serial numbers on the TV and box/receipt then come to a reasonable conclusion that whoever purchased before me swapped out unless it was an inside job. I just want to exchange and get a new TV that isn't damaged and pre-owned. I learned my lesson never ever buy an open box and if I do, check the serial numbers or whatever the identifiable mark is to ensure it matches what's on the receipt after scanning the barcode on outside of the box. What a Disaster! Hopefully the market manager will respond and resolve in a positive fashion so I can delete this poor rating and review. read more

It's Walmart.... The land of everything... I came into buy some sundries for the bathroom and was greeted with a great price on Chips Ahoy cookies.... So, I bought the toothpaste, shampoo, q-tips etc... and promptly went grocery shopping. This place has everything except the deli counter and most at very reasonable pricing... even fruit. The only part I am not good at are the thousands and thousands of people all pushing, shoving banging into you constantly and always making eme feel like it was my fault. This is the closest Walmart from my house. It's about 40 minutes drive from queens. Its located inside a shopping mall center with other stores. I absolutely love this place! It's my one stop shop for almost everything from make up supplies, shampoo/conditioner, perfume, facial cleansers to pajamas. It's super cheap!I usually come here once a month and I would stop by olive garden(which is within the mall center) to have lunch. This Walmart is spacious and huge! They have a large selection of everything including food groceries and a pharmacy. Because its located inside a shopping mall center, there's tons of parking spaces free of charge! Oh Wow...we went there tonight...Westbury store...we did get some good deals... However, at the electronics area a male employee was rubbing the 'buttocks of a female employee'., promising her a 'good' time after work!!!....thanks for sharing....!!! Another employee said that he hated working the second shift., he was 'loud & upset.." I asked politely for help in one of the aisles & the employee walked away, stating that he was on break....I then went to the customer service window & was told they were closed!! I officially hate Walmart. Especially this location. The qualification for hiring employees probably requires all of them to rude. I have received the worse customer service here ever! The staffs were extremely rude. They win the award for worse customer service! I had a couple coupons that wouldn't scan even though it was the right item and the right coupon. The manager yells at the cashier out of no where, that if it doesn't scan don't take it. She yelled it in an extremely rude tone. So the cashier told me to take the items to customer service and maybe they can figure out why it wouldn't work. So I did. When I got the counter, this girl had a lack of personality. I was polite and asked her if she can check why it didn't scan. She scan it and it worked and she looks at me like I'm the damn idiot and says "It scans" in a rude tone. I ignored her and proceed with the purchase. As I was walking out I passed by the rude manager who yelled at the customer service girl from across the room, "WHY DID YOU GIVE IT TO HER, IT DIDN"T SCAN"! If I could slap her face, I truly would. okay so the ONLY reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I'm reviewing this specific LOCATION.... I think we can all agree "Walmart" is one of the coolest places on earth! I'm going to include a quick description of Walmart for those of you who have been stuck under a rock...lol. Its a place where everything comes together, pharmacy to food, furniture to garden, electronics to home decor, arts and crafts to clothing and pets......just to name a few of there departments...lol this location however is not stocked well. I've been to several Walmart locations this one has the poorest selection and they are constantly "out" of certain items, even milk sometimes! customer service: employees are loud and not very helpful. they normally jump in front of you when there moving a palette, which is most of the time! Palettes filled with new shipments of merchandise are normally placed in inconvenient locations for shoppers. Don't get me wrong, some of the employees are cool, but most seem annoyed. Line for customer service is always out of control. they have recently made some new renovations and it has been better. Larger and neater areas. They recently added this large self checkout area that doesn't seem to be working very well. tip: this place gets packed on the weekends, I would suggest trying to go as late in the day as you can if you have to go on saturday or sunday or going on a weekday. huge parking lot. One thing I will say about "Walmart" is that more and more items are becoming available online only. they have the free site to store option on some items, but I would like the get it at the store option for all items! read more

3 things I came to walmart for: 1. My ridiculously low priced dining room table that I decided to get shipped to the store for pick up. 2. The movie- love actually (my favorite) 3. A Sara bareilles CD. Don't judge me on the last two, it was THAT time of the month. Ladies, you understand. I don't have the patience to tell you my entire story but basically I walked in at exactly 9:25 and walked directly to site-to-store shipping and finally got my table & chairs at 10:10. Frustrating much? Then I took a stroll down the movie aisle. I looked around for a bit & realized I was too lazy to really look for the movie considering I just waited & stood around for 35 min for someone to acknowledge me about my table. Took a stroll down the music aisle. And granted, I haven't actually bought a CD since 1994, and by the looks of that aisle, no one cares to organize it either. I looked under "s" first for Sara and all I found was Janet jacket & Carly Rae jepson. Then I looked under "b" and found her name on a little index card looking thing but all the CDs behind it were for lady gaga. Oh common walmart, there isn't even the letter B in lady gaga. They have horrible customer service & you'll be lucky if you can find what you came in to buy, but their prices cannot be beat. That's the only reason I come back. read more

Okay Walmart. Its the closest one to me so I pretty much have no choice. (unless I want to keep driving 10 more minutes to east meadow, which is better) Its not a super walmart, so they have food and 2 rows of freezers, but no deli or huge supermarket like section. Employees are not the most helpful, most don't want to be bothered. Lots of times they are sold out of common items, and for some reason hot items that sell out quickly are often pushed to the back and covered by other items place in front. Seriously, wifey knows to check the back, and most of the time finds things hidden....like Hellman's mayo, and Heinz ketchup....we could start a photo album, it happens so often. If you go in the evening, be prepared to race against the dozens of palettes out on the floor. Workers block everything with them and never let you go first, as if they need to move there palette before you can go. They also seem annoyed, like if your in there way. I thought I have been to some really bad Walmart's in my life, but his location has to be among the worst. It is disorganized and chaotic and have the merchandise is thrown all over the store. I understand it is Walmart and I shouldn't be expecting the four seasons, but a little attention by the staff to the aisles would be nice. The staff was not that friendly as well and pointed in general vicinities when I asked were something was. Thankfully we did not have much, so we used the self checkout as the line was not long. I need to start off by saying I am a multicultural personality. I embrace people from all walks of life and treat everybody as equals..needless to say I would never be writing this review if this was not the fourth or fifth time that I was disrespected by the staff that work there.. I would never believe that I would ever be discriminated against since I have such an open mind towards everyone. But it is evident to me that there is a level of discrimination or just plain old discrimination here at this Walmart in carle place. I had made an substantial purchase 2 full shopping carts filled to the gills. There was a line to leave the store due to the large volume of shoppers today 8.26.2020.at the exit of the store there was a so-called security person checking receipts and comparing them to the items in the carts. I noticed that several people who are in front of me who just so happened to be colored were ushered past this process when it was my turn my cart was scrutinized as though I might have been shoplifting. And this process started to take longer than just a minute.this is not the first time I have in counted this type of treatment at this particular store. Prior to this visit I came to the store to have a battery that was less than a year old prorated.I was told that I did not purchase that battery at that store when I had the correct receipt with the correct serial numbers that match the battery that was in the shopping cart that I was trying to return. I was accused of trying to scam Walmart. After that particular manager walked away and refused to help me any further I was able to prove to the woman who was working in the return section that all my numbers on the receipt and the battery were correct and that the battery receipt was from that store when she called that manager back she walked by and then gave me a dirty look and never came back to finish I had to wait there for another 25 minutes for a different person who has some sort of authority to authorize the return of a pro-rated battery.I'm a person who has an open mind and an open heart and do not understand why I'm receiving this treatment it only seems to happen at this store my current conclusion is that Walmart treats employees who are of African descent with no respect and therefore it trickles down to the customers who are white .. what a shame. I hope this review is read by the higher-ups in this corporation and maybe they can start implementing sensitivity training for discrimination towards customers who are not of the same race and are not treated with conviction. read more

This Walmart is truly a horrible experience. It is always a mess, no matter what time of day you go. The shelves are never fully stocked, or maybe they just can't keep items in stock since it is always packed. Either way, the employees never want to help. Every time I ask for assistance, I am pointed to another individual to help who is already helping ten other people or they just say, "I don't work in this department you have to find someone who does." I really wish I could give this place a good rating, I've always loved coming to Walmart. Good prices and usually well organized. This one is a lot smaller than the normal super center. But my complaint is that the workers here just don't seem to give you the time of day. Called to ask if a bike was in stock, rude incoherent person put me on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected. I then called again and was again put on hold for another eternity before I was told the bike I was looking for was not in stock and that they would NOT assemble the bike for me if I shipped it Site-to-Store, which is contradictory to what Walmart states on its website. It seems like the people who work here have no regard for their customers, the store, and their jobs, and I'm glad I didn't make the mistake of shipping or buying a bike here because the employees probably wouldn't have done a very good job building it. On a separate occasion, I came here looking for something in the electronics department and the woman at the counter said "you have to ask someone else about that" but didn't offer to help me find this "someone else" and left me standing around looking for someone who could possible address my questions. Walmart offers some pretty solid deals on select items and if you know exactly what you're looking for and the price to pay for it, then you shouldn't have any issues with getting what you need and getting out of this joke of a store, but if they are items that have to be put together, don't have employees at this store do it. read more

I've went into this store multiple time, but I only purchased anything from here twice. Whenever I ask a staff member a question I am usually met with an attitude. I remember entering the garden section (a section which isn't as crowded as the front of the store) I asked a woman behind a register if she could tell me where an item was located. Her response was "over there in the back", and she pointed her finger toward a general area near the plants. I didn't want to aggravate myself, so I walked in that direction. As I approach the same area I saw a manager, expecting a better response I asked him the same question. He then shrugged and walked to the other side of the section. That is when the same woman came over to speak with the manger. I looked up this item before I went to this, so I knew it was sold there. One of the reaons why Walmart gets bad publicity is because they truly earned it. This Walmart is absolutely one of the worst stores when it comes to picking up an online purchase using the "Site to Store" free shipping offer. Next time you place an online order and have it delivered to this Westbury location, think about the following: 1. You'll receive an email/text confirmation that your package has arrived and ready to be picked up. (This is the only good part of the online buying experience...) 2. When you go to Walmart to pick up your package, expect to wait at the pick up counter because there will not be anybody there to assist you. 3. You will also notice that their customer help phone will constantly ring because no one is there to answer it. 4. When someone does decide to show up at the counter, expect to wait even longer for them to find the package (trust me...it's not a 5 or 10 minute wait...expect to wait at least 30 minutes). 5. After about 45 minutes of waiting for them to find my package, they finally come to say they'll unable to find it...WTF! 6. After about one hour of waiting and getting pissed off...I've requested a refund. I can't really blame the workers because they seem to be put in a situation with no training or a uniform system to look for delivered packages. Even if you want to complaint, there is no manager on duty. This store deserves zero stars...so consider my one star rating as being the crappiest/worst Walmart to pick up your packages. Caution...watch where you step in the pick up area because it's located next to the bathrooms...there was poop on the floor and was stepped over a few times... read more

Worst customer service. Ever! Asked for a manager to return a kitchen aid that was USED! They said it was a "hot ticket item" and "anything over $50 needed a receipt". It was a horrible experience. I ordered and paid for my Christmas cards through walmart.com on Friday 12/14 night and was told that is would be ready at the Walmart in Westbury, NY on Saturday 12/15 by 5:00pm. I couldn't pick them up Saturday, so I went to the store on Sunday 12/16 afternoon and when I went to the photo (besides no one being there at the counter), I was told not only are they not ready, but the person who handles the photography is out on maternity, and they won't be ready. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I contacted Walmart first through their website help chat and then through a phone call to, what I originally though was a corporate office, but turned out to be just another call center who couldn't really help. The help chat only offered two options, 10% compensation or cancel my order (not even an offer to switch store locations).The Walmart call line didn't offer me any sort of compensation (was told that was only offered by the store, not sure what the store would offer, that would be based on what the manager offers). I asked both for names and emails for corporate personnel to let them know the situation and was denied both time. I decided to call the store directly at 7:30pm tonight. Got no response after 20 rings. Called back again at 7:52, and as of right now, someone picked up at the original call, then been put on hold for the manager for 22 minutes and counting. The Walmart manager called me back at about 9:30 Sunday night. Finding out what happened, he went into the system, saw my pictures in the spool, printed them out and are going to be in the manager's office with some compensation in it. The manager said he didn't know what happened but he saw the Xmas Cards in the spool and was ready to print. He said he used to work in the photo department so he knows how to work the machine. He printed out my 100 pictures. Then told me for my hassle, he would give me a $25 gift card (personally I think fair compensation). He told me to go see any manager and that they would know about it. I told him I would be in there on Monday night. Fast Forward to Monday night : I go to the electronics counter and ask to speak to a manager and I explained to the clerk why. Instead of picking up the intercom phone, which was only two feet behind her, she decides to find one on her own by walking away looking for one. She came back and a second clerk came to the checkout and proceeded to help other customers. When he asked about me, the first clerk said that she was getting the manager and the first clerk asked if she used the intercom phone. The first one said no and she would look. Needless to say, a manager came about 25 minutes after I originally asked for one, and lo and behold, she had the Xmas cards in her hand with my name on the folder. I opened the package to see if the gift card was in there and not only was the gift card not in there, there weren't any envelopes to mail out the Xmas cards. I asked the original clerk to call the manager back over. She told me to go find one with a yellow vest (People, if you want anything ever done at #walmart find a person with a yellow vest.). While I was waiting at first, I called Walmart Customer Service in front of the employee. After a little bit, I walked the store to find a yellow vest, while talking to the customer service person and explaining the current situation. I found a yellow vest employee, told them there was supposed to be a gift card and oh, I don't know, ENVELOPES for the pictures. I told them I spoke with the manager last night and there was supposed to be a gift card due to all the hassle Walmart is giving me . The message that he left with Walmart customer service is that he spoke with me and will handle (didn't say how). So the yellow vest, seeing that I was on the phone with customer service and giving customer service her name (thank you name badges with job descriptions) the yellow vest took me to the store customer service as the phone customer service asked if I would like to lodge a complaint with marketing (Hell, I'll lodge a complaint with anyone at the corporate level if I could). She brought me to the front counter and rang up a new gift card. After she handed me the gift card she asked if there was anything else and I said the envelopes. She asked me again "you didn't get any envelopes?" Showed her the photos. We walked out way back to the photo area . She gave me a handful of envelopes and I mentioned I have 100 pictures. She went through all the draws and finally gave me envelopes (I thought that they looked a little light in the count, but I was already frustrated with the incompetency there, so I took what she gave me and walked out. I have now been to this place three times. I am not sure why I keep going back. I guess because I am cheap and have a hard time spending twice the price for things like shampoo, etc. Last time I went, I shopped for about 45 minutes and had everything I needed. I started walking to the front and all of the power went out. All the registers were now not working. They kicked everyone out. I went across the street to eat (review to follow) and wait it out until the power went back on. An hour later I went back, and they were getting ready to reopen. OK Walmart, I thought your stores where pretty much standardized by now. This Walmart has a lot of stuff but is missing a lot of stuff, I don't get it. Depending on what you are looking for they may or may not hv it, I usually hv to go here then make one more stop for everything else I could't find. I wish I could put a negative number of stars! I ordered a bike and wanted it shipped to the store so that I could call and have it assembled....simple enough right? Well my order was delayed a few days, reason unspecified. On the day I received the alert saying my order was ready to be picked up, I called the store and a very rude woman put me on hold for 10 minutes & then proceeded to tell me my bike wasn't there (I had given her no info so I don't know how she arrived at that conclusion). Skipping ahead...I called today & no one answered. Called again & a woman told me I'd have to come to the store. Fine, I was already on my way there. Extra long story, slightly shorter. Yes, the system says it was delivered. After 2 hours of hunting, still no bike. On the bright side, the people who assisted me were very kind & patient. The manager refunded my money & I picked out another bike (already assembled) from the floor. Waste of an entire afternoon that should've been spent testing out my new bike! read more

This and every Walmart I've ever been in but this one especially is the worst place of business ever. It's dirty disorganized the people who work here are clueless. Totally incapable of providing help our any other types of customer service. So I went into her Jan 23 2023. Around 6 pm. I washed to get a tooth brush. There was a either African Haitian or Jamaican elder short lady standing in front of the section. I waited 2/3 minutes. She has a shopping cart full of items to put back re-shop or whatever. So I sad excuse me can I grab something about 3x and she wouldn't move. She looked at me so I no she heard what I was saying. I'm shopping you work here I just got off work. I just want you grab what I need and go I thought to myself. She refused to give me was so I reached around her. Then I asked do you know where I can get baking soda and she said go over there ask somebody else and put her finger in my face. I sad wow I hate to report on anyone who needs their job but I'm not letting this slide. So I asked another associate Bryant if he can page the manager for me. He said I don't know I can't she's walking around some where you have to find her. I thought to myself unprofessional I don't even know what she looks like. So then I asked Ahmed and he said I'm going on break in 2-3 minutes I can't help you. I said but!!! He said I'm about to go on break sorry. So then I asked Elzbeita and she said I don't know you have to ask somebody else. So then when I actually caught up to this women a believe named Marsha who was in a shopping drivable chair she said she was the manager and I explained. She didn't say anything but oh boy I'm heading back over to customer service area. Began talking to some other associates and had nothing to say about my concerns. No apology nothing. This place is a mad house and I'm never going back to this location or any other Walmart location. Target is better! read more
