It's nice that they sell things from party city too. I like shopping at Canadian tire especially around Christmas time. I'm always able to find beautiful ornaments and decorations for my tree.

My bf's dad was at this location to pick up his online order - he was told it would be "two small boxes" in the back. When he went to the back, there were four warehouse workers (teenagers/young adults) dicking around and they told him this huge singular box was his order. Bf's dad was confused and asked them to confirm because it did not look like what he had ordered. The teens immediately dismissed his concerns and said that it IS his order and to go rent a truck so he could take it home. Bf's dad is confused but complied, since the big box wouldn't fit in his car, he went to rent a Home Depot truck and came back to pick up the box. However, when he came back, the large box was gone and picked up by another customer and his original order of the two small boxes were there. The teens saw this and realized they made an error by not double checking and causing my bf's dad to spend $ on a rental truck for the wrong order - and they all sprinted away. He got his order and went into the store to speak to a manager because this is completely unacceptable and absolutely horrible customer service.. he was met by a short lady (named Christina? christine?) and she gave the nastiest attitude and asked him "what do you want me to do about it?" Absolute ew. I get you don't like working your nights in retail but HOW did you become a manager? What are you even managing if you can't find a way to fix an issue that gets brought to your attention? No action was taken until we called corporate who reimbursed the rental truck in Canadian tire dollars and we asked to be connected to the store so we can make sure we filed a formal complaint about the warehouse staff and the evening manager especially. The general manager was kind though, and identified the staff which he promised would need to go through training and of course "the evening manager perceived the situation differently" - l o l of COURSE she did... my eyes are rolling so hard, they may get stuck in the back of my head. Only shop here in the mornings I guess? Or maybe better not at all.

I love Winners. I spotted this location after shopping at Farm Boy…read more The funny thing is that I have done some quick banking at the CIBC within this plaza in the past. I neither noticed this Winners, nor the SportChek next door. This store is one of the better ones. For those in Whitby, be proud of it for a few reasons. First, I am a huge fan of Kipling handbags. This store goes one step beyond my usual level of happiness at Winners by offering a pink Kipling backpack. It is a rare find. The second point sealed my love for this store. It offers USB type C cables, which is incredible. It is a first for me! You typically get micro USB and lightning cables in ample supply. Yes, I have to be so different with a phone that only uses USB type C. You get a decent variety of two different brands. Both USB type C cables are six feet in length and go for $7.99. Perfect! I love the selection of items, from limited edition Simpson Tic Tacs in both donut and bubble gum flavours, to Popcornopolis popcorn. I don't see any of these fine products at my local Winners. The selection of size 11 women's shoes in decent. I nearly bought a pair of Keds sneakers, but decided that I didn't love them desperately enough to purchase them. The cashier was super sweet. She was polite and cheerful. I happily paid for my purchase and walked out. There is plenty of parking. When I am in this area again, I will certainly drop by. (233)

Think of it as an upscale Winners - fancier labels, bigger and brighter displays, a more organized store...and none of that weird Winners smell. There are designer brands here but you'll also see a bunch of brands that don't jump out at you. Some of the items are probably the reject items from last seasons line but the store is enormous. If you're patient enough, you can probably find a great deal on something. Most of the items are heavily discounted and the amount of savings is prominently displayed on each of the item's tags. In general, the prices are a little bit higher than what you find at Winner's but the quality of the items is better. I was able to find a cute faux leather jacket for $60 without too much time spent in the store. Mission accomplished!

I saw a few legitimate deals: some real fur scarfs 50% off retail, some decent down parkas on sale before winter (Pajar, Rud), some out of season but real designer sunglasses (Chloe, Valentino, Marc Jacobs, Prada, etc.). But I saw some really low-price brands too: Steve Madden, Ivanka Trump, Matt & Natt, that do not represent any kind of a deal. I almost bought a Missoni scarf but found the whole experience so tacky that I didn't want to buy it and remember I was ever there. If you are looking for real design and quality just pay for parking and shop the sale items at the real Saks at Yonge and Queen.
