Excellent experience with Cameron inspecting an old house for my partner and I. Paid for an 'antique house' inspection which was a little bit more than the normal inspection but seemed to be incredibly worth it! Cameron went EVERYWHERE in the house, crawlspaces under the house and into every crevice of the attic. The report produced was lengthy and very helpful in evaluating the house. His advice and knowledge was very much appreciated and I feel incredibly confident in his report especially with the MANY pictures provided. If you're looking for an inspection, request Cameron! We had set up an inspection for our first home we are buying. We had arrived at the appointment time and Cameron had already been there getting things set up for the inspection. He explained clearly what we were going to cover during the inspection then lead us on the walkthrough. He clearly went over things he was looking for that looked great, and things to look out for in the future. This was so informative and helpful as first time home owners. They inspected our house. They departed and neglected to reattach the two large furnace panels they removed. As a result of this, the furnace did not work and the residents went without heat for the night until someone else came and noticed their mistake. read more

Walsh Inspection came to inspect our home for our buyer in June, nothing unusual was reported. When we went down into our cellar a few days later we discovered that the insulation in the ceilings had been pulled down in places, and actually some pieces were thrown on the cellar floor. Our realtor discussed this issue with Mr. Walsh asking them to fix the mess they left. Walsh refused and even stated he didn't do the damage. (Yet our realtor had walked walked through the cellar prior to his inspection and all insulation was intact.) He was told that his company would not be used again and would not be recommended to another client, his response was he didn't care. I do not recommend this inspection company. My own inspector was shocked to hear what was done to our home and said he would never be so invasive, as it opens up many other issues that can come back at you. Michelle M. read more

We worked with both Louie and Mike for our inspection process. We also had our radon checked with Walsh Inspections as well. The whole process was so seamless. The customer service was great when trying to book the inspections, and prompt responses when we had additional questions. The radon testing was very detailed and used the updated electronic inspection versus the cannister. The results were very detailed and allowed us to see the radon levels in the home on an hourly basis versus other companies that only provide one number that is an average over the 48 hours. Our overall average passed standards however we saw fluctuations in our results with their detailed reporting which came over higher than the standard. These results confirmed our decision to install a remediation system, whereas if we had only recieved the average like most companies provide, we wouldn't have know some hourly levels were over the standard. We did have some questions about the reporting and the inspector took the time to speak with us over the phone and answer any questions we had. Both Mike and Louie were part of the home inspection. Both were extremely personable and very knowledgeable. Rather than just doing the inspection they also spent time walking us through the mechanics of what they were looking at, things we should be looking for as first time home owners, and maintenance we should be performing on a yearly basis once we move in. The inspection paperwork was promptly provided to us the same day of the inspection, with very detailed descriptions and photos. I would highly recommend this company for both the home inspection and the radon inspection. read more

This was the 3rd inspection I have had with Walsh and they have all been exceptional. The Inspector we had on our most recent one this week was on a 200 year old colonial, certainly many issues but the Inspector; Brian was realistic about some of the issues you can find in an old home BUT still pointed them out for me each time. Our Inspector was thorough and detailed he was, personable, competent, helpful and pleasant. He went to great length to explain things, the level of severity of issues and things to focus when we buy the home. This was probably the best experience I have had with a Home Inspection and the report that I received will be a document that I will use to update the various aspects of the home. It was forty pages with a ton of reference pictures and was well worth the money. I have had inspections in the past from "franchise" type companies and they have missed a ton of stuff and taken shortcuts, you won't see that with Walsh, great outfit and refreshing to be able to recommend a small business with such consistency. read more

Just had a home inspected by Walsh Home inspections, inspectors name was Louie. I was very impressed with his knowledge, interest, and effort put into the inspection. He was very thorough going above and beyond my expectations. Im confident knowing that he didnt leave any leaf unturned. Wasnt afraid to pull out his tool box and take things apart or crawl into tight spaces to get the answers. Poked the entire sill plate and found some rot that otherwise couldnt be seen. He took photos of all his concerns even if they were minor and emailed us with his results. Well rounded knowledge in all trades. My wife and I are first time homebuyers and didn't know what to expect with a home inspection. The day of the inspection, there were two inspectors who worked diligently and efficiently. They would inspect an area of the house, explain everything they looked for, what they found, and then give instructions for how best to fix any problems. I've never had to go through a home inspection before as this is the first house my husband and I have purchased, so I can't say how Walsh Home Inspections stacks up against other companies, but I can say that we had a great experience working with them and were very happy with the service we received. Everything seemed to go OK. The inspector was very personable, but he was not thorough at all. After I moved into the house I discovered all sorts of issues that should have been caught by the inspector. I understand they can;t find everything, but he didn't find some very basic things! Things that according the contractors I have had to hire should have been caught. Do not use OMAR from Walsh home inspections! read more

i have a home for sale, walsh home inspections did in fact view my home. although "louie" was professional and did a fine job inspecting the home HE FAILED TO REPORT PROPERTY DAMAGE CAUSED BY LOUIE DRIVING OFF A RETAINING WALL. he at the end of the inspection, witnessed by a tenant of my own, drove off a retaining wall causing damage. his vehicle had to be lifted onto the driveway by a tow truck. after this incident you would think he would feel obligated to report any/all damages caused by this incident. to date i have not been contacted. read more

I had my new condo inspected by Michael Walsh in the beginning of May. I highly recommend his services. He was very thorough and explained things in an easy and informative manner. He was on time, actually early and had already done the outside inspection before I got there. His website is very user friendly and confirmations are sent immediately.
