We told the server we can take separate tables to make it quicker. We still ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes. The restaurant decor is nice and thoughtfully decorated. There are antique bicycles hanging from the ceiling and Thai inspired paintings on the wall. The dining table had some scrapbook style design under the glass top. It was unique and cool. We were excited to try the food. My mother-in-law ordered the bulgogi bowl with egg. My wife ordered the Mongolian beef and I ordered the chicken pad thai. The bulgogi bowl was loaded with fresh cut cucumbers, carrots, green onions. The ginger soy sauce lacked punch of flavors. I do recommend mixing up everything like a bimbimbap. The Mongolian beef had a orange citrus taste. The beef was tender and it was served with green onions and sesame seeds. I had the chicken pad thai. The noodles cooked perfectly and there's plenty of chicken, tofu and bean sprouts. There was a hint of spice in this dish. We also added an order of duck spring rolls. The filling was tasty and spring rolls were big. The only critique I would say is to frie the spring rolls longer to get it crispier. Overall, the ambiance and service was really good. The food is catered to Western/ Canadian pallets so some may feel the food doesn't feel authentic.

I usually order the Butter Chicken but decided to try the Chipotle Chicken enchilada! OMG was it delicious! The rice was a nice side! The flavor of the enchilada was incredible! So good! I was full after eating half of it but managed to clean my plate! My wife ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and thoroughly enjoyed it! Sat outside on a beautiful night!

It's cool because not only do you have the inside of the restaurant to eat in, they also have an across the street seating which is serviced by a waitress. That is a great feature for those who want to sit alongside of the canal and enjoy the outdoors. We were seated right away, and our waitress came up and took our orders. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and I opted for something a little healthier, which would be a strawberry salad with grilled chicken. It also came with a vinaigrette. The salad was absolutely lovely, the chicken was cooked to perfection, was moist and juicy, and that vinaigrette sauce combined with the strawberries was absolutely to die for. Overall. It was one of the better dining experiences I've had and I would highly recommend this place. Bottom line? If you are out and about down by the canal, you should do yourself a favor and check out canalside. It is definitely worth your time and a perfect way to relax, cool off, and sort out the rest of your day.

The best part is the view of the canal from the patio or from the front of the restaurant. When a boat goes by the lift bridge goes up, it is something very neat to see. There is also an Airbnb upstairs so you can have dinner here and head up to your room, all without losing that cool view.

The Lock Wood Fired Pizza was one of them that they highly recommended. The place has recently been renovated with a wooden extension that have bright red sliding doors as windows. This pizza joint is right off the Lake Eerie and have big boats passing by all day long. There was four of us and we all ordered our own pizzas which were about 12 inches. I opted to build my own pizza which included a base of garlic olive oil, hot peppers, hot honey and sausage. My husband ordered the meat lover and my two other friends built their own pizzas. For drinks, my girlfriend and I shared a flight of six beers, my husband ordered a cider and my other friend ordered the loganberry alcoholic bevy. Oh dang - the cider was one of the best ones I've ever had. Very crisp and fruity flavors, not dry at all and went down very easily. Hands down, i will be visiting that cidery the next time in Niagara (Chill Street Cider in St. Catherine's). Back to the pizza, the oven is imported from Italy and this is a thinner type of pizza. The flavors of my pizza was bombastic - it's definitely spicy but it's a very tasty kick in your mouth. I tried everyone else's pizza, what's very tasty was their cup n char pepperoni - it's spicier than regular pepperoni that's shipped from over the border and adds another kick in the flavor profile. Based on this - what are you waiting for....make ur reservation.

The ships that make their way up the St. Lawrence River and the other way (all the way to Duluth MN) make their way through this amazing man-made marvel. Of course with the Great Lakes, many people do not know that commercial fishing (and boating fleets) make their way into Lake Erie for walleye, whitefish, and yellow perch (other lakes even harvest lake herring, chub, and trout). Minor Fisheries is a retail outlet that get their supply from the local fisheries. Minor has walleye, perch, whitefish. They even have smoked whitefish and walleye cheeks. Their fish fry is excellent...I had a 3 piece walleye, w vinegar slaw, and fresh cut fries (dinner roll included). All excellent. The walleye is like a panko-esque crust..very delicate flaky white fish. Everything was excellent and for a whopping 16 dollars Canadian...which as of this writing is about .74 cents on the dollar. Amazing value. Also...if you charge the dinner, use an Amex card....they give the best exchange rate. Will be back soon!
