Don't Do it! Paid extra over the insurance to have my front bumper painted and a detail while they…read morefixed the damage to the rear of my car. Front bumper had an orange peel finish, there is still dried wax wedged into the body crevices and my trunk doesn't close in alignment with the body allowing water and soap from a car wash to get into the rubber seal draining out on the bumper. The back bumper has spots that were not painted at all, just clear coat. I have asked about all of these things and this is what I was told. Did the orange peel on the front bumper intentionally to protect it better, bald spots on the back bumper because it wasn't a part of the original accident so they didn't paint it (the rear panel, back bumper and trunk were hit twice in a parking lot) there were not any spots without paint when I left the car with them. I took the car to a reputable body shop (Baldinger's Auto Body in Rochester) to have the trunk alignment fixed and was told it was not just an adjustment. The owner called me and said it could cost several hundred dollars to straighten. I called Barckhoffs Auto Body and told them where the car was and what I was being told (the trunk was a huge concern for me when I took the car to Barckhoffs and we discussed it at lengths) the response was, it is supposed to be that way. Not one time have they taken any responsibility for the crappy work. I am done with them, but don't take something to them that should be an easy thing because it won't be if you care about quality you will NOT be happy at all. I strongly recommend you head over the Baldinger's and get what you pay for not what Barckhoffs decides you should have. Update: Since posting this Barckhoff's has reached out and offered to try to make the trunk right. Following my own advice... Don't do it!

Mark showed me the brakes and told me I still had 75% usage to go on them. He then showed me the bent rod and explained that it should be replaced and that was all that needed to be done. My reason for 1 star.. The check engine light came on shortly after we left the lot. There was also…read morean issue with the tire pressure system and the windshield wiper. They took the vehicle back in to fix it, which I was grateful for. I picked it up and halfway home, the engine light came back on and the tire pressure system warning light was back! I I am also not sure about the warranty as I haven't received paperwork yet and there is a rattle that I would love to have fixed considering it's going to take a tear down on the engine because a mechanic suggested it may be a timing issue...Ugh! Happy push your purchase home day. This time, they didn't fix the tire pressure system even though I was told they ordered the part and.were going to fix it. After they fixed the wiper, I drove home and it went out in the rain!!! I called again about the engine light being on again due to a cam sensor that they said was replaced. Then, I was told they didn't offer to fix the tire pressure system and now I should use the warranty that I have no information on to fix what they SAID they fixed. But wait!!! I was then told that they didn't have a regular mechanic and they just had someone who could put parts on. I kid you not!!!! How safe does that sound? Who knows what you're going to be driving (or pushing or towing) home?!!! Buying a used car can be one of two experiences. Unfortunately, mine is the horror story and not the cool " lets take a road trip" story. Dang guys, live and learn and be careful who you do business with!! Make sure somebody puts you in a safe vehicle. Ohio has great vehicle fraud laws, thank goodness!!! My father swears by this shop and after having had to have some work after an idiot rear ended me I decided this was the place to go. You can tell this place will take good care of your mechanical metal baby and has a passion for his craft. The free estimates are a god send. I have been places where they'll charge you $50.00 or more for them to even glance in the direction of your car, but not here. I had the opportunity to sit in the small waiting room, surrounded by hundreds of model cars and Thank You notes, while he made some calls. Tim was trying hard to find the proper bumper for a Beetle that needed work. Much of the search does take place on-line. The insurance company that took care of my car even sent an email to Blackie's informing them to look out for my business. The only reason I didn't give this business a 5 was because of the inconvenient hours. They close around 5 Mon-Friday. After that the secretary & owner had a attitude & nothing was their fault . Awful paint work full of dirt & fish eyes , runs , nibs , peeling clear coat . Cut lots of corners to make some extra money . Got paid to do things by the insurance company that they didnt do properly ( insurance fraud ) . They play these games were they want you to pick your vehicle up after they are closed so they can avoid you . After they fixed it the second time I go to pick it up after 5 of course when they are closed . The battery is dead in it from them working on it & that's how they gave it back ? Terrible customer service , the worst I have ever seen . Avoid this place at all costs is my advice I learned the hard way !
