Drove by many times but this is our first but not last visit. Not a lot of indoor seating so you may need to get your food to go. Pretty decent size of the menu. I enjoyed the grilled veggies sandwich but both ends are open so expect stuff to fall out. The chicken kebab platter tasted as good as it looks. Prices are very reasonable. Well worth it visit.

So glad we stopped in here! Service was excellent, owner was so friendly. We loved everything we had. The lemon mint tea was fantastic. The hummus appetizer was the best I've ever had. I enjoyed my chicken kebab and my husband loved his souvlaki. We will certainly return!!

New middle eastern restaurant near Collegeville, right before the bridge on Ridge street. We ordered take out but you can dine in or sit outside, probably a great option when the weather is nice. The restaurant is clean and servers are friendly. We ordered Beef Shawarma entry; Chicken Shawarma entry; Chicken Shawarma sandwich; small sampler appetizer; Wame drink and Turkish coffee. We are not really expert on middle eastern food, so the beef shawarma tasted too gamey for us. The chicken one is a little bland, but good enough. The Wame drink is tasty and sweet and the turkish coffee is pretty good too. Overall, not as good as I hoped, but probably because I don't know much authentic middle eastern food. The portions are big and service pretty nice. And I am glad there is a new local business opening.

    Bone found

Foil fragments and bone found! The food was okay but what I didn't notice until I was halfway through my chicken shawarma sandwich was that since they cut through the sandwich once it was wrapped in tin foil, my sandwich had fragments of tin foil throughout where they cut. So I definitely ate some foil. Also, my boyfriend found a 2inch bone in his sandwich and thank god he noticed before taking a bite. Wame Shawarma - you need to be more careful and don't EVER cut a sandwich once it's wrapped in foil. That's a health hazard.

Amazing location and nice outdoor seating in the breeze

This is a new middle eastern restaurant in collegeville that just opened last week. The area needed a place like this. I tried the beef and chicken shawarma sandwiches both were really good. I liked the beef more than chicken to be honest as it felt more authentic to my middle eastern taste. The chicken one needed more garlic sauce but still it's my own taste and this off course can very form a person to a person. Also tried fatoush salad and fatet chicken shawarma, both were average. The place is also very nice, clean and has a very nice outdoor seating with a great view on bridge street. Will definitely come back to get more shawarma and try other items on the menu. I hope that they can also start doing shawarma arabi platters, the small bites that come in meals that will be awesome. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes middle eastern and Mediterranean-food

Seriously the best gyros I've ever had. 10/10 recommend this place. Don't even think about it and just get a gyro sandwich

Fantastic food. We've been twice in two days. Loved the taboula salad, and the hummus and baba ganoush was awesome.

Peanut and Tree-nut Allergy Safe…read more Food was delicious and fresh. Everything we ordered was hot coming out, and tasted great. Waiter was friendly, helpful and it did not take long to get our food. I have a lethal Peanut and tree-nut allergy and had no issues eating here or communicating with the staff. At the time I came the only thing that has nuts is the deserts, so I was able to pick from the whole menu when it came to food and not worry about entree cross contamination which was a delightful surprise. This includes their vegetarian options which were also nut free. I am excited to go back and try more of their menu.

I'm providing this honest review as a constructive feedback for improvement…read more We came across this place online but were only able to try it recently...I was honestly disappointed by many things: First, when a place advertises shawarma meat and posts videos of the famous Lebanese shawarma revolving cone that grills the marinated meat as the cone turns, you would expect that the shawarma plate you order is an authentic shawarma meat cut off the shawarma cone...unfortunately, this was not the case at cafe baladi. I respect the owner who's advertising authentic homemade Lebanese food but the shawarma meat we got was not an authentic shawarma meat...this was meat that was cooked either in a pan or in the oven and was not tender because it was not probably marinated and it's not grilled on the shawarma cone. Placed that have the famous shawarma cone you can usually see in the restaurant either behind the counter or through a window in the back - this was not the case. Second the plate included the choice of hummus or baba ghannouj and tabbouleh...we picked baba ghannouj and we got the tabbouleh...again, the baba ghannouj did not taste at all authentic nor homemade...it tasted like the baba ghannouj in a conserved can that you find in grocery stores. Authentic baba ghannouj is made from grilled eggplant tahini lemon juice and salt. Third, the Lebanese tabboule is made from finely chopped vegetables (parsley, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice, and burgul). Unfortunately again this tabbouleh was not finely chopped and it lacked the burgul. We were really disappointed. The only positive thing was that the service was quick.
