WOW What a perfect dinning experience. From our server, Jessie, to the awesome menu selections to the pacing of our meal; everything was PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now lets take you through our dinning experience and on Mother's Day no less when most places jack up pricing and deliver mediocre food and service. Not at Sage, tonight was like any other night menu wise and the staff were in great form. Serving is a performance. From the moment we stepped in until we said our good byes... a top culinary performance. For our first course we shared the seafood bisque with real pieces of crabmeat, chef had me at my knees just on this dish alone. Best flavor and base I've had in many many years. It was just fabulous. Next, we shared the Sage salad, it was 100% fresh, tasty and colorful ingredients with a lovely, refreshing salad dressing. Next we shared the fruit de mare appetizer which is loaded with jumbo srimps, clams and mussles but instreat of the white wine sauce chef made with with red and with a fra diavla kick (we love flavor). Was excellent. Next we shared the veal boscaiola, fresh thin slices of veal (tender), sauteed in olive oil served with peppers, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms in a plum tomato sauce. This dish was a work of art. delicous. If only Sage Mediterranean was closer to Bucks County. Roper street festival today. We enjoyed a nice plate of babaganoush. It was beautiful, colorful & so flavorful. It came with little pita slices too and sliced veggies!! The ambiance is cute and it has cozy atmosphere, but nothing that really speaks to the atmosphere. The one waiter was friendly and attentive but not super talkative and he didn't seem to know much about all of the dishes. This proved to be challenging for somebody who has food allergies. The menu is supposed to be a mix of Italian and Greek, but it was more Italian with a handful of kebabs thrown in. We ordered a special which was a stuffed chicken and the vodka penne. Both were tasty but definitely not spectacular. And nothing that wowed us with authenticity if either Italian or Greek cuisine. read more

This was our first time visiting this BYOB restaurant. It's like a mix of Mediterranean and Italian. Service was slow, but to be fair, it was really busy. It took over 20 minutes after we finished our meal just to get our check, and the seating is really tight. With that said, we thought the food was so good and prices were reasonable, that the wait was well worth it, and we will definitely return. read more

The waiter was great and gave us complimentary bruschetta as the wait for food was a bit long. The bruschetta was AMAZING and I would definitely recommend getting it as an appetizer. The red snapper was a bit over sauced with a large amount of sauce. However, all of the food was delicious with great flavor. The risotto was cooked very well and the sauces and side on all of the dishes were top-notch. It was a bit noisy with the people in there but it was nicely spaced. We usually eat Mediterranean food close to home but have always wanted to try Sage. Decided to order with a delivery app. Very disappointed.. Calamari- Loved the breading and sauce. My favorite thing we ordered. Falafel- Disappointing. This lacked color and flavor. Would skip! (did enjoy the flavorful sauce it came with) Hummus and Baba Ghanoush - Another huge disappointment. I was surprised that we didn't like either of these. The Baba Ghanoush lacked the smokey flavor you get when they are charred on an open flame. Without this step it's not very good. Hummus was lacking flavor as well- add more Tahini and Garlic... Grilled veggies were not salted and very bland. People seem to enjoy their pasta dishes. I can't even call this Mediterranean food since it's Italian food seems to be better. read more

I met a co-worker at Sage for lunch - we were both in the mood for something outside of standard American food. It was really quiet and fairly empty during the lunch hour. Our server was kind and knowledgeable but he was not on top of our service. Meaning our food, refills, and bill all took longer than average, especially for a weekday (workday) lunch. We split the Mixed Combo and I had the Kafta wrap. Everything was good, but needed something more. More seasoning, more acid, just more (the flavors were there, but not developed and I was really craving an intense Mediterranean flavor profile). I would give Sage another try, but it isn't at the top of my list to do so. Is it bad? No. Is it great? Also, no, but it is good. read more

Ate at Sage last night for Valentine's Day and it is such a romantic restaurant that is perfect for date night. Our waitress was great and very helpful. My bf and I ended up ordering everything she recommended and were very pleased. We ordered the grilled calamari as our app and it was delicious with a nice kick of spice. I ordered the filet red snapper, which was amazing. If you love lemon/white wine/capers then you have to try this dish out. The sauce is absolutely amazing and great to dip your bread in. My bf ordered the smoked salmon/crab meat fettuccine Alfredo and it was packed with so much flavor. Great portion size as well! Highly recommend checking this place out. I have been to Sage a lot and normally very good. We had not been there in prob 6 months or more and were very surprised at the different experience we had on 12/30/23. The hummus platter was very scaled down with only 1 olive and very few raw veggies around it. This was so different from how it was always served. Super scaled down . I also ordered one of my favorites there the chicken kabob. Also, missing a lot of flavor. Very dissapointed. Maybe the price of food has caused them to scale down what they serve. They would be better to just raise the prices. This was too much of a compromise read more

Holy moly! We've lived in Phoenixville a little under a year and this is our first time trying Sage. I'm upset we didn't try it sooner. I got the Chilean Seabass and let me tell you the mushroom sauce is delicious. My boyfriend got the Fettuccine De Mare... this dish is absolutely delicious. I called it the Mary Poppins dish because every piece of surprise seafood you got was cooked to perfection. The sauce really made the dish! We highly recommend. This is a must try spot!!! read more

Absolutely love this place. It's a hidden gem. I've gone for lunch a few times and have been very impressed. The waiters are very knowledgable about the menu and the cook says he can make any adaptions or alterations, as long as they have the ingredients. I got the falafel wrap with extra hummus and sweet potato fries. My only complaint was that the wrap was grilled and I didn't like the taste of the part with the char marks but it was still incredible. My parents both got a seafood pasta dish and can't stop raving about it. It's such a lovely place and the food is so fresh and flavorful. I can't wait to go back! read more

Tonight was my second time at Sage, and to say the least it was a fantastic experience overall. We were 30 minutes early and decided to check in and the staff was happy to seat us early. The service was overall very good, and the food came out quickly. Our waters were also filled with little to no wait. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating for my girlfriends gluten allergy. Our appetizers came out steaming hot and ver delicious. Our entrees also came out quickly but there was a perfect amount of time after we had finished our appetizers to prepare for our main course. The food was absolutely delicious and the servings were HUGE and well priced. We had more food than we could possibly finish in one sitting, so we will have some delicious leftovers. Overall the experience was top tier, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff with a perfect amount of service. Once finished our meal we were encouraged to take our time to finish our drinks at our own pace. We will definitely be visiting Sage more frequently to try more of their delicious dishes. read more

We're going to give it another try. Not only was the waitress Crystal amazing, funny, personable and informative. The owner was great and gives a good old fashioned handshake. But the food. Located in the heart of downtown Phoenixville, this BYOB is much larger than meets the eye from the outside. There are two fairly decently sized rooms with lighting set for a romantic dinner. There were seven of us that went last Friday night. I had made a reservation for us but the restaurant actually was pretty empty, so I would say no reservation required. Our party did not all arrive on time but we were able to enjoy some wine while waiting at the table. To start, we ordered the Mediterranean plate and bruschetta for the table. The appetizer portions were very large and not crazy expensive (I think $14 for the plate and $10-11 for the bruschetta). The Mediterranean plate came with a number of different dips and pita. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as did the rest of the table from what I could tell. The bruschetta was also very good and fresh. The menu is overwhelming and an eclectic mix of Mediterranean and Italian dishes. There are a few pages of the regular menu and then a specials menu that has another 25 or so items. The specials are about double the price of most of the menu items, so we pretty much stuck to ordering off of the regular menu. I personally ordered the Shrimp Risotto. I thought the Risotto was very well seasoned. The shrimp was charred and didn't have a whole lot of flavor. It seemed every one else enjoyed their meal. What I do like about this place is the service which I felt was very good and the fact it is BYOB. We had at least three different people helping out with the service, so our waters were consistently filled and plates cleared. It was less than $40 a person for our meals (we got dessert and coffee too). There are definitely some better BYOBs out there but for the portion, this is very reasonable and not bad. **Note that if you have a 7pm meal time, you should arrive about 15-20 minutes early to try and find parking.
