Cute Mediterranean restaurant in Warrington, unassuming from the outside but gorgeous decor inside. The food was delicious and hearty, the fries were so crispy, the arancini was not overly greasy as it sometimes can be, the moussaka was soo good. Definitely on the pricier side of restaurants in warrington though

This place does have good food at a reasonable price; this place is at an upper scale. This place is not a regular diner, if that's what you were expecting. We felt severely underdressed as we tried to squeeze in without reservation. I would come back with my wife again

This place is a hidden gem. My wife & I stopped in for lunch today and we were blown away. The service was amazing and they were there whenever we needed them. The food made me dance in my chair. As we drove away, we discussed what we would get next time. That's how you know a place is great!

Rarely does one get to discover and delight in brand new epicurean experiences, as we did today at Blue Olive. We had a cream of chestnut soup, which was delicious, delicately umami, and just wonderful! The grilled artichokes, grilled calamari tubes, grilled octopus and flambéed halloumi were so umami we had to eat them slowly and deliberately. Huge wow! It's the closest experience I've had to actually traveling to Greece, but right here in PA. Then the flourless chocolate cake... silky and unctuous. The service was very friendly, cordial, and helpful (so hard to decide amongst all the choices!). Definitely a must place to visit!

Service good. Space not that big. Food was average. The Muhammara dish was little too sweet to my palate. In the main dish the kabob was tasty and juicy but the chicken pieces and the rice lacked flavor and for the price ($32) the portion seemed somewhat less . The pistachio cake was good. Staff very pleasant .

Grilled octopus, shawarma and kebobs were delectable. Good sized portions, will be back.

I'm writing this review because I genuinely love the food here and hope this feedback helps improve…read morethe customer experience. The food is absolutely phenomenal--fresh, clean, flavorful, and consistently delicious. If I were rating the food alone, it would easily be five stars. Unfortunately, my recent experience with customer service was disappointing. I only get a one-hour lunch break, and this restaurant is about 17 minutes from my office, so timing is important. I called ahead while driving so my order could be ready when I arrived. The woman who answered the phone was very difficult to hear, and she also seemed to have trouble understanding me. I politely asked several times if she could speak up because I couldn't hear her, but instead, the call was disconnected. Since I was only a few minutes away, I drove to the restaurant to order in person. I mentioned that our call had been disconnected, but it wasn't acknowledged. I ordered a chicken kebab pita with feta cheese. I've ordered feta here many times before, but there seemed to be some confusion about what I was asking for. Eventually, someone I assume was the owner came over and helped complete my order. I also ordered a combo, which includes fries and a drink. After receiving my food, I checked the bag and noticed the fries were missing. When I asked about them, I was told my combo didn't include fries because I added feta--even though I was charged extra for the feta. That explanation didn't make much sense, especially since the menu advertises the combo as including fries. I'm hoping this was simply a new team that's still in training, because that's honestly the benefit of the doubt I'd like to give. Everyone has to learn somewhere. I truly hope they get the service side running as well as the kitchen because the food is outstanding. I'll continue coming back because it's one of my favorite places to eat, and I'd love to see future customers have an experience that matches the quality of the food.

Within minutes of eating, my husband became sick and started throwing up. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about this place. The hummus was bland, watery, and completely flavorless and the portion was laughably small for $10. The lamb shawarma was so dry it was practically inedible, while the chicken shawarma was aggressively over-salted and loaded with spices in the worst way possible. Even the rice was undercooked, which is basic and hard to mess up. We spent $100 here and it felt like we literally threw our money in the trash. This place is a complete disappointment and honestly concerning from a food safety standpoint. If you value your money -- and your stomach -- stay far away from this restaurant.

We found out that most of the people (regulars) who usually come here are on their vacation season so it was not an issue getting a six-top reservation with only a day's notice. The restaurant is huge with at least two mega rooms downstairs and one upstairs. We actually went to the upstairs door to check in only to be told we had to go to the downstairs door and check in there. Once we did, the staff asked if we would be ok with being in the "party" room where there would be a DJ. We were fine with that and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us. Once at our table, the extensive menus made it almost too difficult to decide what we wanted. May want to consider reducing the food options here. My wife and I split a tomahawk steak. Once we ordered it, we were told we should probably move to an eight-top because we would have more space. The place was almost empty at 6:15pm on a Saturday so we got to move and give us some more room. We also had two serving of Plov, a prime NY strip, a roasted beet salad, and a chicken fingers with fries. We added some bread, too, along with some compote. The Plov was some of the best we've ever had with lots of tender meat. Both steaks were cooked to our liking. Fries were killer and the chicken fingers were fine. I did not care for the compote as I'm used to it with fruit still in the drink. At about 7pm, the DJ started but there was no separate party which is what we thought was going to show up. The DJ sang some and played up-tempo dance music but also threw in some known music like Ob-Bla-Dee Ob-Bla-Dah from the Beatles also in the dance music style. So much fun after drinking a lot of our BYOB alcohol. Service was excellent and more than accommodating for us. He even advised when we were getting ready to leave that it was raining hard and we could stay until it died down. The restaurant is colorful with lights and designs on the walls including projector lights and white linen sheets above. The place was clean and also the bathrooms on the lower rear level. $305 not including tip for six adults which included two steaks, two Plov, chicken fingers with fries, three breads, and a compote. I mention a lot with my reviews that I'd come back to a place. I really can't wait to return to Samarkand! It was just a lot of fun with excellent food and service. I hope it's just as good when the place is slammed and full.

For almost double the price, you're paying for less meat, a cold piece of naan, and a unfriendly service. When I went up to put in my order at the register, the cashier didn't even bother to try making eye contact with me, or look in my direction for that matter. The cashier was also not wearing a mask, and only had a single glove on his hand (the cashier was also the one frying the falafels). There was also no hand sanitizer or social distancing going on in the cramped waiting area for the food. As far as COVID guidelines go, they probably weren't following a single one... The food itself wasn't all the great in my opinion either, especially for the price you're paying for. They tossed in a cold piece of naan, which was nice I suppose since the trucks down in the city don't come with naan. However, the worker took the cold pre-cooked piece of naan out of the packaging, tossed it on the stove top for 30 seconds and then put it in my take-out box. It was still pretty cold when I ate it, 5ish minutes afterwards. The salad that it comes with was an interesting addition, but it doesn't make up for the less meat that you get overall by getting your food here. If you're really in the mood for some "halal food" (aka. chicken over rice) out here then it'll give you your quick fix. But definitely if you're closer to the city, don't make the trip to come out here to try them, it's not worth your money or your time.
