Just happened to stop in this great little shop while vacationing nearby. Immediately felt welcome & was thrilled with my purchase. Very sweet couple who own it! Make it part of your trip to the outer banks! I told the owner of my wish to throw pottery, she gave me some great advice. Loved this shop! read more

Great pottery store just off the main road in Manteo. It's worth a stop. They have many different collections. They will even make items ahead of time for you if you call. My favorite collection is the Outer banks motif which captures my memories and time spent at OBX. I will definitely be back! read more

Can't rate this high enough. This place not only has amazing pottery, the owners are the literal BEST. So kind and accommodating. The quality and creativity of their artwork and pieces is outstanding. I look forward to visiting and buying several pieces each time I visit my parents who live in the OBX area. The pottery here mirrors the beauty of the beaches, ocean, sands and surrounding environment of the OBX. Definitely add it to your list of places to visit when in the area or when looking for gifts. read more

Really neat place owned by a super kind couple. You can watch them make pottery and they'll blow bubbles with the kids in front of the shop while telling Outer Banks history. read more

Such a great place. My two younger daughters have tried their hand at pottery with Miss Bonnie. Bonnie and Bob are two of our favorite Manteo people and the pottery is exquisite! read more

They previously set out tastings of various products and offered us samples of fudge. We declined samples and purchased tea and a Surfin spoon ice cream cookie sandwich. The tea was excellent and Surfin spoon always hits the spot. The products are a little pricy, however, you are supporting local NC businesses so it can be worth it.

I loved all of the fabrics they had to choose from, including various jelly rolls and other precuts, and they had some great patterns (and even quilt kits!) available for purchase. They also had a huge selection of Valdani thread, which I would love to order from them in the future! The pricing was great, and the system for pricing fabric cuts was super simple to follow. No guessing necessary! You can tell that this was built for the area and took into consideration that this will not always be busy, especially during offseason. There aren't many options when it comes to variety. Mostly all the stores offer some type of clothing, aiming for the beach. Splash in some eateries, a shoe store, and high end souvenir shop, then you basically just formulated this place. Ample parking here, and I dare to say that there isn't a rush to come here. A lot of parking goes unused here as there really isn't much to make you want to come here. You would think that there would be better variety, but here we are years down the road and things change.

It is almost a requirement when you come to the Outer Banks that you have to stop at one of these…read morelocations. It's almost like a magnet drawing you in. And why not, if you forgot something needed for the beach, this is one of your best bets to go to. Super Wings dot the Outer Banks. The stores come in all sizes and are recognizable by the yellow buildings. I swear they are spaced just right on the road through the area, and on either side of the road. I was in need of some board shorts and a seat for the beach. They were having a deal for the chairs that day, or it could be for the whole season, and I picked one up. Even though it is for the beach, I still have it in my vehicle and I'm sure it will come in handy. When it came to the board shorts, there area many to choose from. All types of designs including ones with characters. It is almost a requirement, as well, to check out the souvenir section while in here. Knick knacks galore, always something that you can bring home with you.
