I've been coming to Dr Wang since I was a teenager. He's knowledgeable, patient and kind. Front office ladies always remembers me and we catch up on our whereabouts everytime I go in. Sure he doesn't have the latest technology but what he does have gets the job done. Also be aware of FAKE reviews for this office on Yelp. There seems to be the same person/people leaving reviews. I am struggling with this review. I want to be accurate and fair to Dr Chun for his dentistry and also provide a fair assessment of his overall practice. The equipment and technology used at this location is dated. The imaging used is technology from decades past. Biting down on the X-ray tab and not moving while the tech leaves the room to press a button and hides from the radiation feels primitive. On the flip side of this, the doctor is knowledgeable and thorough. The facilities are extremely clean as well. I struggled with the two ladies that assist with the administration at the front of the practice. I requested a copy of my records and was told that I could not receive them. I explained to the ladies, Kathy and Amanda that Health and Safety Code sections 123100 through 123149.5 guaranteed me that I could legally request and receive these records. I even called my dental provider, Liberty Dental who verified this with them and they still refused! Amanda is the office manager and Kathy supports her. The rep from Liberty explained the legal ramifications of what they were doing and they still refused to comply with the law. I asked to speak to the doctor and was told that he was busy. I asked who they reported to and was told that I would not be receiving these records. I became increasingly frustrated and the dental hygienist produced a hand written document that was used in an attempt to appease me (see attached). After repeatedly going back and forth with the two ladies the rep at Liberty advised me to leave the office and file a complaint. She indicated that she documented the conversation and that I would receive the reports in 30 days or less. I called my provider and changed my dental office. I will go to another office that has modern equipment, and the office representatives know the law, are not rude, don't interrupt the client, cause a scene for other patients to hear our conversation and want my business. Been coming here for over 20 years now and realized I never left a review. I can't rave enough about Dr. Wang and his team! Dr. Wang is the best and he always is able to offer alternative solutions and is able to give his best recommendations. He won't sugar coat anything and will always tell you your best options. That's why I thoroughly enjoy coming back again twice every year! Also, because I always get such a through cleaning for my chompers. I've never been a big fan of going to the dentist because the check ups are always so invasive as they should be. However, coming back twice a year to see Dr. Wang and his staff makes the visit that much better. Shout out to Amanda and Lisa who are truly helpful and super sweet! Dr. Wang is a awesome dentist. He's very kind and gentle when it comes to your teeth. He also knows how to enjoy a good talk and laugh which I enjoy. The ladies that work in the front office are really nice. We always have a little talk/laugh as well when I'm there but that could just be because I like to talk. I know sometimes dentists can get busy just like with other things in life. You just have to have patience. Dr. Mark is very nice and did an amazing job on cleaning my teeth and working with me since my teeth where a little sensitive. Bad dental work! Brought my mom in to get a crown; it's been 3 months and she still can't eat. Went back to Dr. Wong and told him she's still complaining of pain but he said there's nothing he can do. He said it is what it is and it just takes time. The dentist just glanced at the X-ray images and said insurance wouldn't pay for the treatment because it was from natural cause. Then he just took off. What did "natural cause" mean? First time and last time visiting this dental office. Dr Wang is a kind and gentle dentist but his receptionist and staff who answer the phones are the most absolute rudest most ghetto people ever. I have been waiting for 3 weeks for a "authorization" to get some dental work. Authorization for what?? I have a PPO!! I've been going here since I was a kid. Since moving away from home, I've had many other dental experiences, and can still say that this dentist has always been my favorite. Dr. Wang has performed countless procedures for me in my lifetime: cavity fills, crowns, root canal, tooth extraction, cleanings, and even took care of an emergency tooth-knock-out-catastrophe right away. He is very honest & reasonably priced. The receptionists helped me to really milk my insurance company. Dr. Wang is a man of integrity and kindness, and doesn't try to charge you for a bunch of procedures you don't really need. I've been really jipped by other dental offices in the past, and he is NOT one of those. He is also very gentle and efficient when it comes to doing procedures. one of the greatest bonuses is that he's so great with kids. As a scared child myself, he patiently helped me to overcome the scary dentist office. Awesome and honest service! On Feb. 8th, I went to another dentist for a chipped front tooth. They told me that it can't be fixed other than doing veneers that would cost me over $5000, so that all the other teeth would match. So, I went home being uncomfortable feeling the roughness on my tooth and thinking $5000 for a chipped tooth from eating those darn Nerds candies?!? Yes, of all the junk I eat...Nerds got me! I decided to call Dr. Wang's office to get a second consultation or maybe a cheaper price for the veneers. Today, Dr. Wang said that veneers is too expensive for a small chipped tooth. All he did was smooth out the rough edges and the whole procedure took less than 2 minutes! For almost a month, I waited for a two minute procedure that the other dentist could've done on spot! If i have a question about treatment or copay they always let me know and explain everything. Dr wang and assistant are great. I love the fact that they get me in and out and i dont have to wait a long time for anything. They too always answer any questions i have and explain all my opinions. This review is based on my visit here on 3/20/17. Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a worse experience at any dentist than we did at this one. The appointment was for my two children and we were treated horribly and unprofessionally, by the dentist as well as the hygienist staff. To begin with, I accompanied my children to the back where they were taken for x-rays, while I waited for them. After they were escorted to individual rooms (next to each other), I stood just outside so they didn't feel deserted. I was scolded by the staff that I could not be in the room or near the room until the dentist was there. I went and kindly waited in the chair nearby, already having a very uneasy feeling. I should have trusted my instincts. The dentist came to my daughter's room first and I came to the room. He took a quick glance at her x-rays and didn't explain anything to me. He said, it looks good and left the room to my son's room. I went along since I had a few concerns. He looked at his x-rays. I asked a few questions in the area of my concern. He told me that my son hadn't lost any baby teeth yet, which I had to insist that he had lost 8 already but he argued the fact. He told me that I was not allowed to be in there and I told him if my children had work being performed I would be there to represent them and find out what would be done. I asked if I could stay nearby or in the doorway to make my children feel same. He said no and stated the room was too small. He began to laugh at me and shake his head. While I tried to ask another question, he disregarded and interrupted by talking with his hygienist. I politely told him I didn't interrupt him when he spoke and asked that he allow the same courtesy to me. He scoffed at me and took off down the hall. The hygienist keep making rude comments and was very overbearing about my being close by to my children, which seems typical of any parent of young children at the dentist. I was told my children would only have their teeth "polished" and I could wait in the hallway again. I was very uneasy with the whole encounter and should have trusted my instincts and left. Logically thinking, it took awhile for an appointment, they already had their x-rays completed, I might as well finish the cleaning. Otherwise, I would have bolted for the door. While waiting, I took the opportunity to call my insurance company, while I was still in their office and express my unhappiness with what was going on in this office. Everyone has preferences and I realize it is common practice to perform fluoride treatments, it wasn't mentioned that it would be performed, only "polishing." It was too late to stop on my daughter, since I wasn't allowed in the room. The hygienist walked her out and once I heard, "she can't eat or drink for 30 mins," I knew it had been performed without my consent. Since we are not believers in this chemical, I quickly ushered her to the bathroom to rinse her mouth immediately. This was her first and only time of having that treatment, since it was done without my knowledge. I quickly went to my son's room, where that hygienist had the fluoride tray in her hand and was lowering it to my son's mouth. I told her not to put that in his mouth. She threw it on the tray and stormed out of the room. I made it very clear on my way out, after speaking with the front office staff that had been pleasant, I just would not be back after the treatment we had received. (Basically, I let them know that we would be seeking another dentist and had fired them). On the ride home, my kids tell me their teeth were polished. They said they didn't do a great job, "because, mom, I still have plaque on them." Did they floss? No. Scale? No. Hmm... Not a very thorough cleaning. Several days later, I received a letter from this dentist indicating that we were to find a new dentist and would not be allowed back to their office. (Uhhh... Uhhh... Fine by me! So, after I fired them, they turned around and acted like they fired me. That gave me a chuckle). If there was a lower rating available, I would have used it. Long story short, I would not recommend this dentist to anyone, especially those with kids. read more

Good for an hmo. The dentist is honest and does what he needs to do for the patient. My X-ray showed a questionable cavity. Instead of jumping into 'fixing it' and charging more or services, he took a look & redid an X-ray for the area. It was negative (yay). We stopped coming here since last year . I used to bring my son here for check up and cleaning ( because of our insurance plan). Dr. Wang is OK but the dental hygienist was a joke, it took him slightly more than 5 Minutes to clean my child's teeth, we'd leave the office with 30% cleaned teeth. I think the guy either hates his job or don't know how to do it right, maybe he should go back to school and relearn everything. Dr Wang is friendly and nice and if you just need regular cleaning, this clinic is OK. However, if you need to be referred to a specialist, like a periodontist, then they're not very efficient and you don't get good customer service. I called my insurance to check on the status of the referral since my gums were really bothering me and I was informed that they have not received the referral which was supposed to have been sent more than a week ago. I called Dr. Wang's office and they told me that it was just sent a week ago through regular mail and it is out of state and for me just to wait. I asked them why it was sent through snail mail and her answer was they didn't have computer. I asked if they can just fax it so at least they will get it already and start the process and I was told they don't do that. So I said can they just give me a copy and I will fax it myself, she said they don't keep copies and I just have to wait 2-4weeks. Unbelievable! She was not helpful at all even when I told her that my gums are really bothering me. She was very dismissive and couldn't care at all. Very frustrating. She just said that If I don't get the referral in a few weeks, to call them. Overall: AWESOME! I was nervous in the beginning, but he's easy going and the process DIDN'T HURT : ) I'm usually super scare and nervous to go to dentist because of the pain, but I DIDN'T FEEL a thing when I visit the office today! I've been on pain killers for two weeks because of the pain and sometimes I can't even sleep, so I finally decide to pay a visit to the dentist. Most dentist office takes appointments only, but I was in major pain that I need to check my teeth immediately. You can WALK IN from 9 - 11am without an appointment! After 5-10 minutes of wait, I was already order to go sit at the operation table, and the doctor quickly greets me, check my teeth and let his assistant did X-ray on my teeth that was hurting. Turns out that the teeth at the back is really mess up, and I need a root canal : (. I was concern about my other teeth that was previously treated (I thought there were cavities), but he said there's none while he explain it to me with the Xray. He talked to me about the process and price before he performed anything. Although root canal is expensive, but it's necessary (come on! my teeth was hurting for two weeks before I gave in ):..) His price is not that bad compare to other places (cause I know it can cost a lot more! So I'm satisfied). The process were relax and not that bad if you can handle the usual drilling sounds of the machine (I put on my ipod to avoid listening to it), but YOU CAN'T FEEL A THING. Even when he is injecting the anesthetic, he put some paste like material to num your gum (I didn't even feel the needle). The whole process (Xray-consultation-process) took about an hour (I talked for a long time before doing it), but overall it's pretty fast : ) Pros - can WALK IN (9-11am) - PAINLESS (I did root canal) - SHORT wait - FRIENDLY, PATIENCE staff - doesn't pressure or over-advertise on other unnecessary treatments - clean environment + friendly workers Cons - Small parking lot (but not an issue, cause it's not pack) - $50 dollar for walk in, but it's reasonable and didn't really wait in line! read more

I thought I did not want to come back, but I still did for the completion of my partial (against my family's advice) since I felt cheated from paying for an incomplete job. Last year, I had to come back and forth more than eight times, but my partial never fit, and it hurt my gum. I thought he would be different from other money-digging dentists I knew. But so much to my disappointment, everything is unchanged. He is dishonest, blaming the old lab on the screw-ups he made, but even with the new lab this time (which I gave him a second chance for), it still did not fit, and it hurt my gum after a few tries. Why do his patients have to suffer for his lab's mistakes with their own money? Eventually, I was offered a refund, and our relationship finally ends here. This place is okay for teeth extractions and fillings. There are other qualified dentists if we take some time to do research! read more

WORST RECEPTION SERVICES EVER!! I have been here before. they aren't the greatest but they are serviceable, the doctor is very nice and does a pretty decent job, so this time when I have a toothache, I called to make an appointment asap, they told me the earliest appointment they have is in 2 weeks, I had a trip to go to between that and I was worried my tooth would ruin the trip, but since since they said it was the earliest they can do, I said ok I'll wait. Today is the day of the appointment, but I forgot what time my appointment was so I called to ask, they said they don't have my appointment down, they instead ask me if I want to make an appointment, I said no, coz I did that already, then they said they'll try looking through their records, and proceeds to repeatedly ask me three straight time, have you been here before? what is your last name? What's your birthday? After the third time they repeat these questions, I couldn't take the horrid services anymore and hung up. read more

What a super disappoint place I ever been to, first of all when I walk in to this place with my 3 kids I saw 4 receptionist , they all looked at us and looked alway with no greeting or say anything to us. The place was empty. While I'm waiting I saw a guy were doing his martial art in the middle of hall way, ( he the one that clean my older son teeth) the guy took 2 mins to clean my son teeth, and another lady took also 2 mins to clean my second son teeth, I been in many dentist places never seen a place such this place that not allow you to see your own kids while they cleaning them, they must have something to hide. We arrived at the place at 4:40pm and got out in the car at 5:20pm that including of filling the paper work with 3 kids appointment. Btw when we walked out they not even say BYE to us, I guess they must very very very hungry..... the doctor was nice but he hide the wrong ppls Anyhow, I don't think I would want to bring my kids back to this place again ever. read more
