    Great staff, no issues. Had a blast to start my summer off here. Moved from SC & this was our first adventure. Will be back

    The float trip itself went well, but ultimately the trip was ruined because of a simple misunderstanding and very poor customer service.

When I…read morechecked in, I asked the clerk if I checked out early is my money refundable and he said yes. I checked out early and he told me to give it 7 days. Ten days passed and still no refund so I called Booking.com customer service because when I called this location they kept giving me the run around. When Booking called they hung up on them just like they did me and it's August and I still don't have my money. I am now going to file a claim against this hotel because this is unethical, unprofessional, and breaks so many USC CODES. I even called corporate and still no help.

    At a minimum, a hotel room should be clean, and it should not be broken. The room appeared clean,…read morebut stains on the sheets and on the towels indicates a lack If concern by the cleaning staff...which means there is a lack of concern by management because they are not auditing their work. Broken furniture and fixtures equates to insufficient maintenance... the use it until it craters philosophy...but that means unsatisfied and disappointed guests. Dark furniture full of dings and dents exposing the wood underneath looks old and beat...this furniture is used, it will get dinged...so occasionally hit the exposed wood with stain or a color stick to fill in the light color and make the furniture look presentable again. Maintenance debris left in common areas is absolutely unacceptable...and indicates lack of discipline in the maintenance department and poor management for not auditing their work, and regularly checking the facility. The pool closed and no breakfast makes sense...with Covid...but then present a non-contact or sanitized between use solution for coffee instead of shared and unsanitized pump carafes...it's not like you're spending money on pool upkeep or breakfasts. Disappointed overall. Lots of potential, lack of execution and apparently management oversight. This appears to be a situation where they are trying to do "just enough" to keep operating...with limited local options they can continue to get business. It's really too bad because doing things the right way is just as cost effective in the long run... 2 stars because the room worked, albeit full of defects. The front desk was friendly As well. This probably should be a 1 because maintenance at this hotel is appalling.

This place is so friendly, organized, and exceeds my expectations. I've been traveling through hotels since 2020 and let me tell you, this place is worth every penny. They have FREE breakfast, answer at any time of the night/day, heated INDOOR pool, laundry on-site, and very ADA friendly. I am handicapped and was super pleased by their hospitality. Whenever I visit family in Oklahoma, I'm definitely choosing from this location OR their list of partnered hotels. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards program for FREE POINTS.

Not to…read moremention nobody answering the front desk phone when calling from room, maids opening the door when you have the do not disturb sign on, saying they will bring your supplies right up and then never showing up, shot-glass sized coffee cups by the free 'coffee' and the smelliest room with the indescribable odor from the heater I've experienced in a long time. Disgusting stained bedding and towels, and no option when reserving to choose smoking or non-smoking and then getting out in a smoking room. The broken elevator didn't add to the experience, either. look through the photos..... their glorified promo photos are nothing like actual user photos. Trust me, I didn't even want to walk to the bathroom barefooted - the rug felt sticky.

I have been coming to diamondhead for the past 8 years, never have we choose to go to any resort but after this year my WHOLE GROUP (52 ppl) will be taking our money and enjoyment elsewhere!!! Apon arrival I called the morning we were coming out which would've been on that Friday. I asked what the remaining balance of our room was. The lady gave me an estimate. OK cool well as everyone who goes to diamond head knows that if you pay for the motel rooms or the bunk houses or any of that you have to pay a deposit so we did that back when we reserve the room months ago when we get there they want to charge us $125 incidental fee that the girls working register said it was in place of the deposit as well... but we already paid that on top of the remaining balance of our room didn't give nobody a heads up that they had made these changes didn't let me know whenever I called that morning that they were doing that so that was the first incident, especially because in the office on every single computer it only said that there was a $25 incidental fee not 125, when we pointed that out to the guy that was helping us, he instantly went to all of the computers and tore them down. then we get the keys to our room we walk in our room. It smells like complete fish like disgusting unbearable. We tried to air out the room that in hell we lit some candles that didn't really help and so we went back to the office and asked them about it, and the guy that originally helped us helped us again he didn't even wanna come in our room because he knew that it didn't smell good. He even told us that the room's leak whenever it rains... but they wanna charge us $125 incidental fee?? how about you upgrade your rooms and actually do something about the mold the stains ,the smell, the dirtiness why don't they worry about that instead of trying to charge people just like they charge my mother a $400 bill whenever she already paid fully for her room, how does that make any sense? and when did the prices go from $34 for a float to $40 per person per float up charging for what? Nothing about the float changed the mileage didn't change the capacity didn't change, so why does the price need to change? And on top of that, they drove all of us up to our destination to get on the raft to start our float and what wasn't there? the rafts! So we all had to wait around for 30 minutes at the destination just to wait for some rafts that should've already been there and ready.. Its sad this place is going downhill fast, because it was my favorite

Brandon the staff member/manager I believe that's what he was, Was very very polite, patient with the situation and made things right towards the end at our check out. I am certain other people have had a better experience than ours. With that being said I would still do business with diamond head and Brandon because he made it right and was understanding with the situation. Unfortunate what we went through, but it certainly was not Brandon's fault. Things break and things need repairing. And we had the bad luck that weekend. Thank you Brandon for working with us.
