Liselle is amazing and was so good at suggesting frames that matched exactly what we were looking for! All the great styles without the snob of SoHo salespeople! So today, I was running an errand near Koreatown (while wearing my broken sunglasses) so I turned to search Yelp to see if there was a sunglass shop that would be able to fix them today while I was already out. Fast forward - I go in and drop my sunglasses off because they said they can help me! The little knob slipped off of the nose piece - said it was a quick fix and within 15 minutes I was already back in with a fixed pair of sunglasses! They said no charge because it was such an easy fix and I just think that's such an example of great business and them not taking advantage of customers... Because of that, I will now be loyal to them, and no matter what I always rather shop local than buy online. Kudos to this shop for being honest, respectable and good businesspeople!

But I went there for their glasses as they have many different styles and the price point is great too. I went a few times and the service was good, but it could've been better.

My ophthalmologist naturally wanted me to buy a good pair and suggested Purdy's on Madison Avenue. Knowing how expensive this store was considering they can make a pair in one day I decided to see other places. Sunglass Hut's prices started at $175. Then Laura insisted I go to Saks Off Fifth where I nearly fainted when the salesperson said that sunglasses started at $250. Warby Parker to the rescue. Located inside Grand Central Station, this store is conveniently located as one comes up on the escalator. Carla, a salesperson, helped check which pairs were polarized as many were not. Finally I found one named Sydney Brioche Tortoise with tortoise shell frames which looked attractive. Solomon tightened it for me. The return policy is thirty days with a full refund. This store is bright and all the offerings are nicely displayed.

I stopped in at 5PM today and it became apparent that the doctor wanted to rush out. He started with a rude comment to the assistant about adjusting the chin strap better however her position was more comfortable. Then he was rude and condescending when I wasn't able to read the letters because they looked like blobs. Isn't that why I'm getting an exam in the first place?! I was mockingly told to guess even though I said I couldn't distinguish any features. Then he says my answers aren't making sense because they aren't consistent. Why would they be consistent if I can't see anything?! At this point I'm annoyed and want to walk out but I hope the end is near. The worst came next when he physically man handled my face and eyes to put in eye drops and test my pressures. I asked for him to wait a second but he refused, pulled my face to the machine and snatched my eye lids open as though I was a rag doll. In between tearing from the drops I was crying from his unprofessional behavior. I was in shock. I felt violated. After the appointment be barely said goodbye as he brought me to pay and then ran out of the store.
