Subsequently, she has had her annual eye exam and ordered and received gorgeous Tom Ford glasses with Transition lenses. Their assortment of frames is impressive . Great range of glasses - well selected

Went in here to check out frames. Nice little boutique with a pretty good selection. Staff was very nice. I do want to note that they carry Chanel which many places do not. They have Prada, Dior, Burberry, Tiffany, Tom Ford, Roberto Cavalli, Oliver Peoples and more. Also want to note that they do not accept VSP insurance. I am still shopping around so I can't attest to actual service but my walk-in impression was positive. read more

George and Kamal are terrrific, and so skilled. In spring 2022, i had my prescription lenses updated and my friend had recommended Eyes on Madison. My frame was quite old (about 20 years) and I love it. Kamal was able to update the lenses and preserve the frames--not an easy feat. Then, most unfortunately, i took a tumble, injured my forehead and got a black eye, and broke my favorite long-lasting frames. They couldn't be repaired but George and Kamal worked to help me sort through new frames, get my new glasses made quickly and expertly. Also, as I am handicapped, and they couldn't have been kinder or made things more accessible for me. I had the most wonderful experience at Eyes on Madison. Kamal and his staff are friendly and attentive. I had lasik years ago and came in for my yearly check up to make sure my vision is still clear. Firstly, the eye exam was only $75 (I used the yelp deal $50 for $100). This is a great price, same as warby and significantly lower than most other rates. The eye doctor was great and answered all of my questions! The best part was that no one hounded me to get a pair of glasses in the store. I don't currently has vision insurance, but if you do they have a great selection of designer glasses and I'm sure you'd get a lot more attention vs Cohens Optical or Warby. I saw the great reviews here so I thought this would be a good place to get frames as someone who has never shopped for eye glasses before. I didn't catch the name of the guy who was at the front on a Tuesday early afternoon, but he was very uninviting, rude, and kind of egotistical. Without asking me what I was looking for, he handed me a few pairs to try out. I'm willing to try different styles on, but when I told him I preferred thinner frames he told me "that's weird. We don't carry thinner." But the store did. I only saw them after I kept on insisting I liked thinner frames. I also asked to see rounded frames since the ones he showed me were cat-eyed, and he was very reluctant to find them for me. He told me the ones he pulled out look good and there's nothing else that fit what I'm asking for.. Once again, the store did have rounder frames too - and he only showed me after I repeatedly asked for it. He seemed to think he knew what looks good on me better than me. While I appreciate others opinion, it was uncomfortable to hear so much resistance to a style I wanted. When I found a pair of thin round frames that I really liked, I asked for the model and he told me "we don't do that here. Just so you can go online and find a cheaper one." I wanted the model so I would know which one to ask for if I came back. I don't know what assumptions he was making about me, but it sounded like he thinks I'm cheap. And if not, he could've worded it any other way that wasn't so accusatory and egotistical. When I seemed hesitant about the frames' price at $695, he told me "they're not the most expensive" in a matter-of-fact tone. Cool, good for you. It's too bad I saw a pair that I liked because I will not be returning to get them since I don't want to encounter him again. read more

They answered my questions over the phone so I knew I had found the right store to take the time to actually visit. While there, they immediately identified the issue with my sunglasses and came up with a plan to fix and how to ship it to me even after I moved out of the city. I've been wanting contacts for awhile and a lot of places I visited were very unclear about eye exams, giving out prescription and pricing. This was the perfect spot and with amazing staff! Mr. Kamal and George are extremely friendly and helpful. The eye doctor answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. He had me try 2 different special contact lenses to distinguish which one was better for my left eye. They aren't just trying to sell you the product, they want to help you find the best contacts for your eyes. I also got my contacts order ASAP, took less than a week which was awesome. Polite people, extremely slow service. Took almost a month to get ONE pair of contacts in for me....3 weeks!! Can someone please explain how one contact gets to the store first and the other arrives 2 weeks later??? Anyone?? Seriously impressed. Handed over prescription, explained price range. Tried on a couple of (great) frames but then the owner (I believe) took a look at my face shape and pulled a pair of amazing frames from the case that not only fit my face but were also small enough so the arms did not hang over the back of my ears (a perennial problem). Perfect frames in about 10 minutes, and serious care taking with measuring pupillary distance on two devices AND by hand with a ruler. This is not Warby Parker or Lenscrafters. It's more expensive and it's entirely worth it for the absolutely outstanding customer service and the quality of the lenses - far superior. I rarely write reviews but Eyes on Madison is definitely a cut above. read more

Great place! If you are looking for glasses, this is the place to go. George is amazing (ask for him to help you). He knows what is trending and is very helpful as well as patient. He will give you an honest opinion about how a pair looks on you and provides great recommendations on alternative choices. We even had a mix up when I came to pick up the glasses and George remedied the situation and took responsibility of it. Plus turn around is very fast at this shop. I had a great experience at Eyes on Madison today. Making an appointment was super easy, I made it the day before!! I arrived 5 minutes late, but was warmly welcomed by the guys in front. The doctor wasn't the friendliest guy, but nice and very laid back. He was quick, and thorough. I was a little worried when he told me he didn't have my contacts in stock for me to try out for a week. I've been wearing contacts for 12 years, and this is the first time I haven't tested the lenses before buying. Looking back, I wish he had suggested I try another brand before spending $50 on contacts I've never tested. Yikes! The price was great. I bought the Yelp deal and spend $85 total! I completely ran out of contacts right before a trip and started panicking that I wouldn't be able to get any in time. I called Eyes on Madison and talked to George who was so nice and helpful. I emailed my prescription and he called me back to tell me they had my prescription and that he would put them aside for me to pick up. I picked up them up and to my surprise they were not nearly as expensive as I was anticipating. I called around 3:15 and they got me an appt. at 4pm. You know when you run out of contacts. It's like you're a nerd for a good chunk of time. So I was in desperate need because sweat and droopy glasses were not a good look on me. I think I just found my new go-to eye doc. Everyone in the store was really nice, and accommodating. My doc really took his time in making sure I got the proper fitting and prescription. He really listened to my concerns and was a joy to be around (when I said, can I try dailies? He goes "love it!"). He was very patient and giving me samples, just waiting for me to put them in and also test them fit/power wise again. I found out that I was over power and the proper prescription has truly made a difference. He was really generous with his samples as well. Before I left the salesmen made sure to tighten up my frames before I left. This place is truly awesome especially in Manhattan. My only slight with them would be the actual doctor's space which was really small. However, they make it work and also this was the best deal I could find exam wise (a place in Astoria was $125 for an exam sans Yelp deal). They also have a great selection of frames from what I saw. Just had an eye exam with Dr Park. He was so great. Thorough and clear with explanations and even suggested switching contact brands for slightly better vision due to my astigmatism. They also filled out a DMV vision test form quickly so I could renew my license. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. read more

The People who work here are dishonest. After getting my eye exam and going back to pick up my contacts several times over two weeks. they kept telling me that they were not ready. After getting tired of going back and waiting for the contacts I decided to just fill them myself. I asked them for my prescription and they refused. By NY Law, upon request I am entitled to my prescription. And they repeatedly denied. Do not go to these people when there is so many other reputable optometrists. read more

Mostly a review on the eye test. - Much cheaper than anywhere else. The basic charge for an eye test is $120, and with the Yelp voucher it's $70. This compares very favourably to other places I've spoken to which charge up to $175 and can charge more for a joint glasses/contacts prescription, and more still if you have astigmatism, as I do. - Appointment was quick to book, on time, and went without a hitch. By comparison, when I initially tried to get tested at a slightly more corporate fancier place, they sought to charge $175 and kept me waiting for 20 minutes after my scheduled time. - Place is little and looks more "family-owned" than corporate. And the better for it in my opinion. Everyone was lovely and friendly. The glasses selection has the usual brands, but is a little thin. I plan to go to See/Cutler & Gross to get something slightly fancier. I plan to get my contacts from there because they seem so nice. read more

I came here because it's right by my office. My optometrist, while AWESOME didn't have a big selection of frames so I went looking elsewhere. They carry a reasonable number of frames, mainly popular names like Chanel, Prada, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana, Oliver Peoples, etc. but more importantly a really amazing amount of eyeglasses and sunglasses for both sexes. The service is friendly, it's hardly ever crowded (and I've been there a bunch of times) and you get your glasses really quickly. I can't say much about the frames - it seemed right on par with a number of other places that I visited in the city, but I had a really great experience selecting frames here. read more
