A small iced americano with cream. They didn't have any sugar free syrup options which is a bummer. He did ask if I want monk fruit or stevia sweetner, I passed on both. He did offer raw honey so I took up on that offer! He finished my drink and I noticed there wasn't any cream. It was filled to the top so it was pretty watered down. He did pour some of the coffee out and added the cream. The raw honey was nice but it still wasn't sweet enough for me so I added a packet of blue sweetner. It's a drinkable cup of coffee but it does lack flavor cause it was so watered down. I had really high hopes for this joint. After reading the reviews, I had high expectations. It looked like they pushed out great coffee! The venue and the gentleman were on point today but my drink was a flop. While waiting for my drink, I noticed all the cool patches from different police departments. Supporting our police departments is so important to me! They protect and serve us so they have my highest respect. I appreciate the different badges on display. I feel bad that I didn't really like my drink. I do want to come back and try again! I don't know if our addition of raw honey threw of dude while he was making my drink. This place is too cool not to come back. It's one of those spots where you can drink an iced americano without adding syrups. The ambiance of Broadcast is top tier. Ample seating, cool decor, and place where you want to sip and stay awhile. There is even this cool swing art installation that you can enjoy your drinks on. They have a small shelf where they actually carry one of my favorite hot sauces along with coffee beans and other coffee making supplies. It is metered street parking only, but this side of downtown Boise usually has empty spots and don't forget to press the + button for a free 20 minutes.

The location is perfectly situated on the main street of old town Ontario, so there are a couple blocks of historic buildings and antique shops which can help you continue on the path of shopping local. One of my guests wanted a beer on draft but there wasn't someone there that was able to serve it and that was a bummer, but we all got hot chocolates and coffees and sat for a few minutes and chatted before we continued on to the antique shops along the way (great finds!). We chatted with others at our table, enjoyed some delicious food, coffee, and even peaberry tea (a favorite). My husband especially enjoyed the roasting facility tour, which was led by a well-educated coffee enthusiast. She handed out amazing facts, generous tips, and favorite coffees. I usually hit a couple local joints that are right by the salon I work at. Conveniently, Dawson Taylor was right there so I took it as a sign to head in. This coffee joint is so cool. Walked in and instantly noticed how pretty the shop is. I was greeted right away. I told the gentleman that greeted me that I was going to use the ladies room real quick. I will have to say, the bathroom is so dope. I love all the quotes that were written on the walls. You don't realize how long you're actually in the bathroom when you're reading all the tiles. After reading a handful of tiles, I finally made my way out. I got my usual coffee when I try a new joint out. Gives every shop an even playing field. So I got myself an iced americano with sugar free vanilla and room for cream. I had asked the barista for cream to be poured in the back by him. I had told him about my new kidney when I ordered and that I can't really use communal things. He proceeded to tell me the cream was at the table. I really didn't want to use it but I did. I poured a little of it out before I added the cream to my drink. I also used a napkin to hold the handle. I try not to be a germaphobe but it's hard not to be when your immune system is non existent. I made my way outside to sit under the sun and absorb the afternoon energy. I did add couple packets of my sweetner to my drink to sweetnen it a tad. I like my drinks on the sweeter side. Wow, this drink is absolute perfection. You can taste the espresso. It was very present and bitter. It wasn't watered down and light. I appreciate how bold the espresso is. The cream added a nice richness to the drink. The sweetner did enhance the taste of the vanilla. This americano was so good! I ended up walking to Cecil Andrus park and enjoying the rest of my drink there. It was just what I needed this afternoon. This joint is just another block away from the salon I work at which will be so nice and convenient to head down to for an afternoon caffeinated beverage. Another joint I will have to frequent. I will be back soon for another round of this fabulous americano. Especially after a long day at work.
