Warren was on-site working every day on our renovation for at least two months. During that time, he put up crown moulding, installed wainscoting, installed a custom-built cherry dressing room, a panelled powder room and, most complicated of all, a custom-built and very complicated mahogany library. Warren is careful and thoughtful in his work. Very often he will suggest alternative ways to accomplish your project that are better than what you thought was possible. He is helpful to all other workers in the vicinity, always quick to lend a hand or a suggestion to someone who needs help. In a house full of workmen, Warren quickly became the go-to guy everyone would ask for advice or assistance, because he was clearly the best, most talented workman in the house. But beyond this, Warren is simply a really nice guy. He is a pleasure to have around. Very easy going with a gentle sense of humor, and respectful and sensitive to what you say (and what you don't say). If we could have done the entire renovation using only Warren, we would have, happily. Of course, that wouldn't have been possible, but if there was anything we could have Warren do, he was always the first one we asked. As with any renovation, we had problems that various people caused us. A lot of the custom wood pieces that Kane delivered to us were cut wrong or didn't work for whatever reason. Long after I stopped speaking to some of these people, Warren maintained a cordial relationship with them and extracted the maximum amount of help he could in order to keep the project moving along. I could go on at length, but suffice it to say Warren is a solid human being, an extraordinarily talented finish carpenter, and a positive, unifying force with his co-workers. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you have carpentry work that needs to be done right the first time, no matter how difficult, this is the man to call.

He suggested that we…read moreshould meet on Sunday; now, I am a very consistent with going to church every Sunday and I was apprehensive about meeting then, but my wife and I are desperate due to mold growing on the backside of our shower stall, so I decided to meet him at that time and leave church early. Warren Yeager never arrived, he never even called, left messages etc. Not only did he inconvenience us by causing us to leave church early, he also caused us to prolong our search for a reputable contractor. I have found that, a persons "word" is a great indicator of ones integrity, work ethic etc. I guess i'm glad we learned of his character this way, instead of in such a way as; not completing the job, or doing a shoddy job, or mishandling our project. His work looks good on his website, but then again so does most contractors. We as consumers try to make wise decisions, - and I as a grad of the University of Penn like to think I have a fighting chance of doing so- but it is becoming increasingly difficult to do so as businesses have the advantage of spending heavily on "marketing" in order to present themselves in the best light. We try to search for reviews, however, that too can be deceptive as businesses themselves can post their own favorable remarks about themselves. In the end, we do our best by checking licenses, and try to get a feel for the people we are dealing with. Mr. Yeager has shown the propensity to be dishonest at worst, and disorganized at best. I hope this review will help any subsequent potential customers in going fourth in the arduous task of hiring the right contractor.

Despite numerous follow-ups over an extended period, we repeatedly received assurances that the payment had been sent and was "in the mail." However, the balance was never paid. We made every reasonable effort to resolve the matter directly and gave them multiple opportunities to fulfill their obligation. Unfortunately, after exhausting all collection attempts, we were forced to refer the account to a collection agency. Based on our experience, we found Marble Works' representations regarding payment to be unreliable, and we would strongly caution other suppliers to secure full payment before releasing materials.
