Ed and Elite Design Build also took care of a couple of other issues at my condo that were making me crazy - including installing a grill over the external exhaust port from the bathroom ceiling fan - birds were getting inside the outside duct port, building nests and jamming up the duct work - which was leading to condensation build up in the ductwork, resulting in water build up in the duct, ultimately cascading out of the ceiling fan vent in my downstairs bathroom. Ed then got up in the ceiling and sealed the seams on the ductwork inside the ceiling which were leaking cold air - which was shoddily installed by the builder. He then insulated the ductwork in the ceiling above the bathroom. He also took apart my ceiling fan - which was now rusting from all of the condensation - cleaned it up, lubricated it - and sealed it so no more cold air or condensation would leak in or out inside the ceiling space. I asked what cabinet distributors they used and she couldn't give me a name, she said they use many. I then asked what the difference would be between getting a particular cabinet color (not knowing what my options were or what would be in stock without a company name), and she said custom vs semi custom are just words and that it's all pretty much custom so it wouldn't make a difference. Upon asking a few more questions, she proceeded to tell me "I'm not sure if you saw, but our company has almost a 5-star review and that's almost unheard of". I didn't know what to make of it, but considering what some of their reviews mentioned, I felt as though we were going to get the same treatment. She said she'd get back to me by Friday with a quote and a visual of the kitchen updates-- it was Tuesday that day. We gave her a call that Friday afternoon to follow up and she insisted that the cabinet company was taking a while and that she'd get back to us by Monday the latest if not over the weekend. We waited and got nothing so my husband called her the following Wednesday without ever hearing from her. She continued to reassure us that she hasn't forgotten about us and that she'd get back to us by Monday for sure. It's now been 21 days and we got no updates or any communication from them. It's clear that this is a pattern for them and I'd advise someone looking to get work done by someone reliable and honest to look elsewhere.
