Cost was decent and projected time was 4-6 business days. 2 guys showed up on Monday 3 May. We had one change in design on the inset of the shower wall... we added a pencil line. By Thursday morning, we were requesting a company supervisor to come to the house and discuss the problems. We did not let the contractors in until someone showed up. The rep left telling us he would get back to us with a solution, one possible option was to sub the work out since they had one tile setter. Instead of a phone call, we got an email at COB saying the company was voiding our contract and the deposit we paid was to be used for the work that was completed in 3 days. After 3 days of work the contractors were barely 50% complete. My husband, who is a construction manager, had to work with these two gentlemen continuously for three days and correct things as they went along. I won't bore you with the details of the emails that went back and forth, but we did agree that they could continue work if there was a quality control put in place and that we had to redo the timeline. The company came back and said that they were requesting full payment before continuing. If the work stoppage had been due to a schedule slip at our request or another request from us, I can understand wanting full payment. But because it was a quality issue and requesting us to pay in full prior to completion of the work is completely unreasonable. And goes against standard business practice. I'm attaching photos of the work done. And also a video of my husband as he's taking out the spacers that were left on the floor tile. As you can see the tiles are popping up. The amount of tiles that have thinset on them is probably half in addition to what you see in the video. Clearly there was a problem and instead of the contractor figuring out what the problem was, he just kept trying new tiles. The problem with the inset on the shower wall, I think is quite obvious. Instead of doing a full row on the top, he cut the tiles short. It is not balanced at all with the bottom. There is obviously plenty of room on the top to have done another row and then the pencil. The problem with the large tiles on the wall means a really thick grout line at the ceiling because he put them up knowing they were too short. Even after all of this, we were willing to work with them. Glad it worked out otherwise. Dan is going to finish the shower and we'll find a competent company to do the floor. smdh

After removal of the branch and resulting debris by a tree company, I asked my insurance agent for a recommendation for reconstruction and restoration. She recommended Capezio Contractors, Inc. and I am very pleased that she did! After a visit by a Capezio estimater, a structural engineer visited the site, and a plan for the repairs was submitted and approved by my insurance company. The job is now complete and I am very impressed by the work Capezio contracted and oversaw. Restoration required a new roof, deck repairs, a new carport and extensive repairs to the exterior and interior of the house including a new roof, replacing all the exterior siding, rebuilding the deck, painting, as well as the installation of a double sliding glass door, some new screens and sanding and varnishing hard wood floors. There was quite a parade of workers - and they all were hard working, experienced people who knew what they what they were doing. They cleaned up every day and also helped move my furniture back to the rooms where they belonged. John, a construction project manager with Capezio, kept me informed of the progress, and the step by step repairs, as well as the country required electrical, framing, insulation inspections. I chose to stay in my house during the reconstruction and repairs. I am very pleased with the way things went and would definitely recommend Capezio Contractors, Inc. to anyone who needs their services. I know I had no idea how complex the whole project would be and I am very grateful for their excellent professional assistance.
