He seems very honest and explains everything. I asked him about any other issues with our 26 year old truck. He pointed out some problems that should be addressed but none were immediate necessities. I plan to go back and have the work done there. Highly recommend.

I was contacted on Monday that they would be able to begin working on my vehicle between Wednesday and Thursday. as of today, Thursday, I was contacted by a different person from this business claiming that they had attempted to call me yesterday, but from a personal phone and left no voicemail, stating that the shop is closed and will not be available for work for up to two more weeks. the people aren't even communicating with each other and are wasting peoples time and money. they need to fully post that they are closed to business and tell tow companies and insurance not to bring vehicles in until they are functional again. this is outrageous and a complete waste of the last five days where I possibly could have had it already looked at and addressed at an actual shop that is operating normally and honestly. highly dissatisfied and disappointing.

When I was out of town my check engine light went on and a local shop there did a quick once over…read more There wasn't anything discernible so he turned off the notification but did tell me that if it were to come on again to have it checked out. A few days later it came back on and I stopped at my dealership to see about setting up a diagnostic test to get to the bottom of it. The dealership wouldn't be able to get me in for over a week and estimated that if it was what they thought it was I would be looking at about $1500 to fix it. I definitely don't have that in savings to throw around so I asked friends and family in the area I live if they knew anyone and two people recommended Newton Auto Care. I called them the next morning and Ken was able to get me in on the Saturday which was just a couple of days later. Again, my car ran quite well and nothing discernible from the diagnostic tests but he did reaffirm what the dealership said could be the issue and that it would cost about $1000. Whew, already $500 less which was a relief. I don't have that much socked away but it's easier to meet that than 1500. Ken turned off the notification, sent me on my way and told me to come back if/when it comes on again. Well a week and a half later that lovely check engine light came on again. I stopped in on my way to the WA for work and Ken was able to squeeze me in the next day (Saturday). In the end it was even less than Ken originally quoted and they stand by their work. Funny enough, the check engine light came on again but looks like it's left over sediment from the fuel injector flush that needs to be worked out but when I called to let Ken know he told me to just come on in and they'd check it out. They know a satisfied and happy customer is likely to come back so while the rates may be lower than a dealership one is not compromising on the work ethic. I will definitely be back. It also helps that I can walk home from there if they need to work on my car for a few hours. Thanks to Ken and Geoff for all their hard work, care and trying to help me understand what's up.

Justin or Jason (don't remember his name) suggested the work and when it was found to not be beneficial he was super dismissive and condescending after the fact. Every single time I've interacted with that one particular guy, who is always there he acts as though the customers are insignificant and not worth his time. If you want to be treated like utter garbage then sure go to this place, their staff is awful and they'll utterly waster your time.

PG Performance: Great group of people…read more I was referred here from a local tuning shop known for producing Volkswagen supercars. It's run by a couple of overworked fellows who clearly have a lot of love for their work. They specialize, of course, in Volkswagen / Audi but also do other Euro stuff like BMW, Merc, etc. I've had a couple of jobs done here on my car and have ordered parts from them for others. There are two things that set these guys apart from other shops: 1) Their staff are very knowledgeable, all the way from the front office to the back. They knew about a product recall on a switch for a US car that was ten years old. 2) They're value conscious and will suggest the best solution for mechanical needs if you take the time to talk to them i.e. "you can get by with component X which seems to do a great job..." versus buying the expensive piece. We're all looking for honesty and knowledge when it comes to auto service, and these guys (and gal) have it in spades. This shop is very humble (read: Not fancy. Or clean) and does cater to the enthusiast, but don't let that dissuade you from getting regular service done there.

My conclusion: I was impressed at this shops overall quality and proffessionalism! My work was on time on price and done with sufficient quality parts to make me walk away smiling. I highly recommend booking an appointment for work and I am sure you should be happy with it once you get it back. I have seen and driven by this place for years thinking is was an east indian place (not that that is a big deal) but i was very please to see its actually dutch I think and the mechanics are very meticulous and old world knowledgable about cars. They know their stuff and are very good at it. Every shop has its days where nothing they do can please a tough customer, but I think these guys are totally worth my 5 stars and I will be back soon with my other car for some more rarher pricy work, since they have proved to me they know how to do it right and for a good price.

After over $5,000 and about 7-10 visits in approximately 6 months, I drove my UNSAFE, known snd admittedly by AJ the owner, jeep home with a broken axel u joint. Caused by their lack of knowledge and ability while replacing my ball joints and tie rids. My vehicle was sent to a steering and alignment specialist, after multiple visits to Visscher pau, due to a severe shake in the steering after their shoddy repairs. The specialist told me they used cheap ball joints that were not jeep appropriate. He put new castors and helped lessen the dangerous steering issue. And a week later found that the axel u joint had lost a piece that caused the joint to become dislodged. Secondly, they failed to fix an issue with my cooling system that again I had to return to their shop 6-7 times for. They replace multiple things (temp guage and thermostat, etc) but with a significant leak I returned again and they stated they found nothing wrong. Even though Kim, the receptionist, looked under my jeep with me and saw coolant spewing from EVERYWHERE, which she later denied. After the FINAL 2 days in their shop, and again NOTHING fixed, along with the broken and extremely dangerous to drive as stated/admitted by AJ the owner. I drove it home with NO coolant along with the broken axel u joint . Which they refused to fix
