Like going to this gym, smaller but has enough equipment. Thinking of looking elsewhere because of the hours.

So much so, that even after I moved, I make the journey back to practice. The owner, Mary, is wonderfully accepting and encouraging and helps you believe anything in life and in class is possible! The other instructors bring so much knowledge to each class-- progress comes quickly and is easy to see! This studio is perfect for experienced yogis and newbies alike-- the calm environment and 100% acceptance and excitement to see you at class makes everyone feel comfortable! The style of yoga practiced is Baptiste Power Yoga. The room is set at 85-90 degrees and the instructor guides you through a series of vinyasa poses-- FLOW! The heat helps your body respond to your movements and helps you accomplish more in your poses than you thought possible. The Baptiste philosophy centers around balancing your mind/body/spirit and creating the flow, so no harsh directives or yelling...only focusing on your breath and your movement! And no mirrors! (If you've practiced Bikram, you know what I mean!) The studio is clean and inviting. The staff is respectful and knowledgeable. What more can you ask for? Oh...I know! PARTIES! Mary plans amazing yoga-inspired theme parties-- you won't want to miss them! Do yourself a favor and try a class-- you'll be glad you did!! :)

I decided to add yoga to my workout routine in an effort to build some upper body strength and flexibility. I've done yoga for years, but it was always geared more toward relaxation, not getting a good workout. You will not get to relax at Divine Power Yoga (at least in the classes I've taken). Well, you will at the end of the routine, but that's only after you have worked your butt off for at least 55 minutes. The instructors keep you rapidly flowing from pose to pose. They're aware that the attendees have many different levels of experience and take time to mention modifications for each of the poses. You start to sweat very quickly (it doesn't hurt that the room is kept very warm) and it's amazing to see your personal progress from the beginning of the routine to the end. These routines stretch muscles I never even knew that I had. The instructors are incredibly encouraging and will take the time to help you with poses that are challenging you. They also infuse humor into each class, which I love. This place is a gem and I'm delighted that I discovered it!

Corepower yoga 2 is a great class for flow and Parna's expertise on chakras and meditative yoga fits great with this type of class. CoreRestore, although not offered often, is more of a light, cool down stretch with a bit of sound bath effects and is not meant for intense stretching. Julie did a great job of emphasizing the relaxation components in tiny movements. not heated, and best after a long day, not meant to be a workout. Yoga sculpt 45 min is probably the most intense class with upbeat, fast-paced yoga flow combined with weights to intensify the workout and medium heat. Highly recommend for both strength and stretch and cardio all in one. Allison can project really well and get you hyped, and also offers really great form reminders/corrections. Hot power fusion with Ariana is amazing- the temp is set a couple degrees above 100 so it's definitely one you need to hydrate for, but it's not as intense as yoga sculpt and has more focus on balance and holding yoga poses for longer and testing your core. Ariana gives very clear, detailed instructions so it was easy to follow along, and best playlist!

Nestled by the Wheaton train station (where they have a French market every Saturday), this small studio is impressive. I've been going to tribalance for some time, but found this studio that's closer to me and more my vibe. I used to practice Bikram (before the scandal) in Cali and this place has that cool Cali/city vibe. It's immaculately clean and the showers have such good water pressure. The classes are what you expect them to be, HOT, intense, and oh so rewarding. My joints and back always feel phenomenal after class. And the staff are so warm and friendly. Shout out to Becky and Agata for their continued support in my yoga journey. Pro tip: On Saturdays (while the French market is open), give yourself a half an hour extra from the time you usually leave your home as parking can be challenging, and you don't want to be late. Though I've always found parking, it did take more time.

Sound bowl therapy uses the calming vibrations of sound bowls to improve anxiety & tension, boost mood, work on our chakras, increase spiritual well-being and restore harmony to both the mind and body. Natalia was our sound bowl therapist and was calm, spiritual and enlightening. I can't wait to go back and do this again. Natalia also is a Reiki master. I've done Reiki before and loved that experience as well. It was interesting to hear Natalia's thoughts of what she felt was going on with each of us at the end of the session. Two of us had the energy of our loved ones with us during the session, and I was lucky enough that Natalia felt the energy of my dad. I was able to tune out everything around me and delve into the experience, but my friends said they heard people talking within the other parts of the studio, such as massages and other therapies in other rooms. One gal said she felt like getting up and going outside to tell the people to not make so much noise. Again, I was very into what Natalia was doing and focused that I heard nothing and wasn't bothered by any outside noise. Maybe it would be simply scheduling things at different times for complete silence, I don't know. It wasn't an issue for me. If you haven't taken part in a sound bowl meditation, it's a very relaxing and spiritual experience. I highly recommend Natalia for sound bowl meditation. I can't wait to go back for another sound bowl or Reiki experience.

I'm not a person who normally takes the time to post reviews. Things have to be either really good…read moreor really bad. I purchased a new customer week pass from this studio that was good for online zoom yoga classes only. The first yoga class I wanted to try was a couple hours later the morning I signed up. As a side note, I also took an online zoom breathwork class from another studio right before the yoga class from this studio I am reviewing which went smoothly.. After the breathwork class I logged back into zoom for the yoga class with Universal Spirit using the info that was automatically emailed to me when I signed up. I waited about 15-20 minutes after the class start time and the instructor never came online. I immediately emailed the studio and said that the instructor didn't show up to my zoom class and could I please have my money back. I received an email from the manager/owner of the studio but instead of taking any responsibility, she said she was sorry I was not able to attend the class and that maybe zoom wasn't working properly or maybe I did something wrong. I was not offered a makeup class or an extension on my week pass or even a heartfelt apology. She completely ignored my request for a refund. I always think of yoga studios as safe places filled with kindness and love but this gave me a really bad taste in my mouth and I really didn't want to take any other classes from them. I emailed her back and explained that I am recovering from a double mastectomy surgery from breast cancer and because of that use zoom frequently from home and have never had issues and had even used it right before her class that morning without issue and that I was certain the problem was not on my end. I also explained because of my situation that I didn't have a lot of money and that I just needed services I pay for to go smoothly and that I didn't think her studio and myself were a good fit so could I please just have my money back? This was all requested within hours of purchase. She ignored that email. Over the next day or two I sent an additional email requesting a refund and called the studio and left a message with my phone number. Both email and message were very polite and simple requesting my money back so I could put it towards another class at a different studio. I was completely ignored. She knows that I didn't take any classes from her. She knows that I tried to take the initial class and logged on and emailed her right away that her instructor didn't show up. and instead of reaching out with any sort of solution she blamed me, kept my money, and ignored my attempts to communicate with her. This is by far the most disappointing and unprofessional experience I have ever had in my life with a yoga studio. I would give zero stars if I could.
