Great place. My son started at 4 years old. The instructors are patient and kind. They scaffold learning so all students are successful.

Our daughter started in the preschool mini warriors class when she was 4 and then moved up to the kids little warriors class a little before age 5. We loved how much she learned, both physically and mentally. Mini warriors really helped her figure out how to move her body and what she was capable of. Then little warriors started honing her skills with a mix of jiu jitsu and shou shu. We liked that classes were 2x/week and that they got a mat chat every week where they learned how to protect themselves from bullies and how to be respectful and responsible. The coaches are great with children and earn their respect instantly. Their style works both for skilled, competitive kids and for the ones just doing it for fun like our daughter. The building and mat area are so nice and clean, it doesn't feel dark and dingy like other kids martial arts places we tried. We unfortunately had to move away after 2.5 years, and one of the things we miss the most is our daughter going to Warrior Martial Arts. We were looking forward to her little brother starting there too, it would have been perfect for him. I would definitely recommend it to any family looking for a martial arts studio for their kid. read more

Great teachers and curriculum. I'm so glad I did my research and ended up here. I couldn't find a martial arts program for my three year old- everything offered around town was for 4-5 year olds. Shifu Holmes (may have misspelled this) is god sent. He offers the perfect balance of fun, discipline and respect. You can tell he genuinely loves the sport and is naturally a great leader with the kids. I had no idea how expensive this sport was- so that would be my only precautionary but I gladly paid because my son enjoyed himself, learned some moves and truly wants to be there. read more

Update: Two years in and Miles is still going strong at WMA. He says he loves going to see his friends and he can learn to protect himself and others! My son has been training at Warrior Martial Arts for just over a year and I love that I have seen his confidence grow. Warrior martial arts is a great space for kids to learn how to be better people and to learn the skills of Brazilian Jiujitsu. The coaches here obviously care a lot about their students and the fine art of what they teach. The studio is clean, the families are great, they offer awesome parents night out activities once a month or so, and they are always willing to help out with the kids and learning. Their adult classes are excellent as well. I began attending two weeks ago and I'm already learning my yellow belt kata. They make you fee welcome and supported no matter what your skill level. Kristi and Adam were both super helpful getting us signed up, without any pressure, just a willingness to help and talk to me about what I was looking for and how they could be that fit for my son. The Hannah we have before is a very smart and talented girl but she is always shy and not confident to show her talents and skills. She always doubt herself and needs help to cope and overcome with her weaknesses. But, everything changed when Hannah joined Warrior Martial Arts Academy last year around May. Her journey was never easy when she started, and almost wants to give up, but we are very thankful to Shun Shifu Adam, he loves to listen to us and learn more about Hannah. Things gets more interesting when he made Hannah as an assistant teacher or helper to his class. Hannah gained confidence to speak, share and teach other students the new skills that was being taught. Hannah joined the Sparring Team around November, again, she got so scared, but Hannah showed perseverance and willingness to learn and pick up the moves quickly. She joined her first Jiu Jitsu Tournament around April 2023, though unfortunately, she didn't won, but facing her fears, the crowd and her opponent didn't bring her down. That was the day we saw a better Hannah, she became better with coping and we've seen she got way better with facing her weaknesses, It challenged her and the more she showed more discipline and commitment to what she wants to do, her 2nd tournament just happened recently, Hannah didn't won a medal.... But, she won a match, it was a very special moment for Hannah, that moment where she proved to herself that she can do it! There's no words that we can use to express how thankful we are with Shun Shifu Adam and his team. Now, Hannah continues to inspire other kids by sharing her experience, Hannah believes that it's not about the medal, and that it's always about working hard, believing to yourself and most of all, to have fun! read more
