My two sons out of five joined in December 2024 and have enjoyed every session they've had learning from all the different coaches. We're still new to Valor but hope to be here for many years with goals for them to grow, have fun and compete. They're always eager to learn more and strive to be the best version of themselves as fighters. My son really enjoys it here. Staff seem great. Seems like the coaches have good control of the class and the children seem to have a great time. They have three different levels and at level 2 they can start sparring. No complaints on that. I will say the bathrooms are pretty bad which make me concerned about the mats. Hopefully whoever is in charge of one isn't in charge of the other. read more

My son (10yrs to 12yrs) attended training here at Valor (VTC) for 2 years. These are my honest opinion and here you can decide for yourself as we have never trained with another facility. The Goods: When we started, There were a lot of other kids which made the classes full and fun for my son. The instructors were both female and male instructors. There were a lot of other kids his age which never had any face to face combat altercations. All the kids were nice especially the ones whom were more advanced. They understood the level of difference and took it easy on the less experienced also help give them pointers from time to time. The instructors were loud and firm yet very informative and partnered the students well together. Most of the time my son had fun. The Bad's: I felt like this was more of a business than a school. To be more specific, in the summer they would go cheap and would not turn on the A/C and it was terribly HOT. This happened a lot. And when the instructor turned on the A/C , I've caught the Owner asked them why when it's not above a certain temperature outside. They test every month or so and make us buy belts which the kids never used. They received the belts as a promotion than threw it at home somewhere. A waste of $60 a month. Also the prices always changed . Seemed like every quarter prices would hike. The schedule for training changed frequently also( another poor business decision) 2-3 time a year. If your child was in the sparring class (which they highly hype it up so you can buy more merchandise for training) that was the only time they really learned how to put what they learned to use. The instructors: they were just young kids from the ages of 16-23 and was made to run the business at the same time teach the classes. These are not trained trainers nor have they had many fights under their belts and non the less experienced business men. My personal experience and thoughts: This is a nice place with nice kids training. I believe it's a poorly ran business where I don't feel like the owner puts enough attention into it where I want to invite my sons friends, soccer,basketball, baseball teammates to come and join. At the end of my son's 2nd year , there were less kids and my son got bored. All in all it's a great way to learn some form of martial arts but it made sure we never gave another school a chance again. Good luck and I hope this helped. read more

VTC is the place to be. A very welcoming atmosphere with great coaches; Ash, Alyssa, Matt, Christian, Norman, and Gabe (sorry if I've spelled any names wrong or missed anyone!) are all great. Attentive to detail, encouraging, and willing to work with whatever constraints a student may have. And every now and then, Kru Patrick drops in and runs a class, which is of course next-level. They are so so nice here! I've never tried Muay Thai before so I was pretty intimidated. Kru Patrick answered all my questions through Instagram and they have an affordable 3-day trial promo for $20. They have memberships in addition to drop-in day rates. I've been going to their teen/adult classes. They are newbie friendly and the team is very helpful and supportive especially considering that I'm kind of slow lol. Some other Muay Thai centers have the reputation of being jerks. Valor Training Center is the best martial arts school around. I started commuting to their Stockton location 3 years ago, and now they are here in Elk Grove. The high quality of learning I received from their Stockton location, without question, remains the same, despite just recently opening their doors earlier this year in Elk Grove. Their kids classes are outstanding. Kru Patrick, Coach Jesse, and Coach Carlo clearly understand how kids think, feel, and work. They know how to burn their energy, get them to listen, and build their confidence for the future. With schools being closed, this is honestly the best place help kids mental development by getting them to socialize and simply play with learning. The Ring Ready Fitness classes can be tough, but so worth it. You will feel yourself get stronger and faster. It's a time to let out steam. Their Adult Muay Thai classes are the best by far. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner, you WILL learn how to fight in 6 months. My son and I love taking the classes offered at Valor! I love all aspects of their Junior Champs program because not only do they teach the kids the basics of Muay Thai but also life lessons that they can apply outside on a daily basis. A spacious facility with top notch equipment. The moment you enter through the door you're greeted by everyone. All students, staff, and parents are smiling, courteous, and most importantly having fun. The walls are painted in a vibrant red and black. The color scheme just screams badass. The kids/adults training area is covered in Zebra mats with mirrors on the East wall. Parents can enjoy watching their kids from the seats and armrests near the entrance side. A small dining area is located adjacent this area. You can see the current class training through windows facing the training mats. Next is the bag/ring area. It is covered in modular mats and has 5 Fairtex banana bags, 2 Fairtex boxing bags, 2 elbow bags, and a full-size ring along with jumping ropes, Thai pads, and other gym paraphernalia. Best of all, it always smells Pine sol clean. The coaches specialize in teaching beginners and working professionals. The clients here can't afford to get injured, so the staff are always vigilant in making sure everyone is training appropriately. New members will feel comfortable learning a new skill in a safe training environment because the training is tailored for novices. Kru Pat is the owner and head instructor of the Valor facilities. Under his guidance 3 champions have emerged from Valor. The students and more importantly the staff at Valor were great! My son and I were able to be involved in the 3 classes. This is part of their introduction to the school and classes offered. We both were very impressed and had a great time. Patrick and the other instructors were very engaging, very upbeat and patient with us (the new guys). Although we weren't able to make the financial commitment, they were very understanding and thought maybe down the road we could reevaluate and join whenever comfortable. I was incredibly disappointed we couldn't be a part of this awesome school, but financial responsibility can be a bummer sometimes.
