The inspector found several items that needed to be fixed, and Lucas agreed, commented about how good of an inspection it was, and promptly fixed the issues. We were satisfied. Now several months later I asked for an estimate on having gutters replaced. I provided the tenants information and we scheduled the estimate. Lucas never showed up, never called, and now I've called and text him 8+ times without a call back. The best I've gotten is a text saying "I'll call you back" Completely disappointed in his lack of communication and customer service.

I can only imagine the outcome had we been away and not noticed the smell of burning wires. When the work was being done, over time Mike rarely showed up to check in with us or his crew. It took longer then expected. When the crew told us the work was complete and that Mike would be back for final inspection and to talk with us. Several details were unfinished and it took many return visits to complete. We had to call Mike several times to get him to come out and finish his work. He had many excuses as to why it was taking so long. The main reason was he was busy with other clients!! Two years have passed and we now have a leak in our roof. Mike came out and looked at it. Mike stated to my husband that he sealed the leak and that the reason for the leak was not his fault. Mike said he told to put some type of cap ( we aren't roofers we are not sure what he is referring to) on the chimney to prevent the issue we now have. We stated to Mike no information about the said "Cap" was relayed to us form him. We should not have to complete the details involving a complete roofing installation! He then said it was a crew member who should have told us and either way the problem is not his. We are in the process of filing a claim due to the fact that I have tried to reach out to Mike, several txt messages and phone calls, he has not responded to any of them!! I'd given up in total confusion with bids from $18k to $57k, a lot of promises and more than a few insults. And then I met Chris, the owner of Five Star. He listened to me and my story. He could tell I'd already heard all the information- I just needed a business with expertise, an owner with integrity and an honest approach to do the job for a fair price. Not only did Chris provide all of that but he brought in a hardworking crew one that worked together like a well oiled machine. They were fast, respectful, cleaned up beautifully and were gone on time the next day! I am thrilled with the roof. Javier not only had the best price, but he was a delight to work with. He's meticulous, and his attention to detail is extraordinary. Javier is also a great communicator who's humble. We had a challenging section in the front of our house that involved a large tree overhanging the garage. They built a ramp to the dumpster which caught all the debris, and they didn't break a single branch. His crew did a terrific job tearing out the old roof, replacing some rotted boards, and installing new Certainteed Landmark shingles. They added roof vents where we needed them, re-directed several attic vents, and even replaced our old skylight with a new one. They did a fantastic job cleaning up and we've gotten many compliments on the new roof. If you're bidding a new roof, make sure you include J. Roofing in the mix. You will love the results!
