I like to think of Warwick Park as a miniature version of Seneca Park. It's really small, but it still has a lot to offer. There is a oval-shaped walking track that has a baseball and soccer field on the inside of it. There's water fountains and benches planted all around, along with a nice gazebo by the parking lot. They even had a little bowl filled with water for dogs! There are two playgrounds, which seem to be very nice and well-kept. Warwick Park is hidden inside a neighborhood in Lyndon, but it's definitely worth checking out! read more

Warwick Park is a great little neighborhood park tucked away off Washburn Ave on the border of Lyndon and St. Matthews. There is lots of parking, an asphalt walking path, a soccer field, a baseball field, two basketball courts and a playground. There is also a pavilion with a few picnic tables where people can host small parties or events. The grounds are well-maintained and there are multiple trash cans and dog clean-up bag stations scattered throughout the park. The walking path is about .44 miles around and a great place to walk your dog or go for a jog. The park is very family friendly and easily accessible to those in the Lyndon neighborhood. read more

Definitely one of the best Louisville Metro parks for families, and a really solid one in general. The playground seemed to be in great shape and the park as a whole feels safe. I litter-picked here for a couple hours and the most "scandalous" thing I found was a discarded can of Truly hard seltzer. That's a good sign! This is a fairly small park and the amenities won't blow adults away. The picnic shelter space is really limited and there aren't any trails or distinct scenic landmarks. However, there is a well-maintained walking loop with some swing seats interspersed; you don't see those swings too often around here outside of Waterfront Park, so that's nice! Warwick Park also has ample parking and decent shade coverage, both of which I appreciate more and more with age. This may be "just" a neighborhood park, but it's one that any neighborhood would be proud to claim as its own. It's cute, relaxing and proof that there's more to Louisville outdoor life than just the Olmsted parks. read more

This is a nice little park tucked inside a neighborhood. I've only walked through it during the winter months but I'm certain with all the trees it is a joy to walk in the other seasons. It's very dog friendly with two clean up stations and several trash reciprocals throughout. There is a cute playground area off to one side and lots of green space in the center. For a small neighborhood park, Warwick is great. It has 2 full size basketball courts, a soccer field, 2 softball fields, a playground and a large running track around the whole park. It is small compared to the big parks around Louisville, but for a small neighborhood it's really nice! People are always running, playing basketball or walking their dogs. It's a fun place for community! read more

Great little neighborhood park! I've enjoyed using the basketball courts, softball/soccer fields, running on the loop, and taking our little girl to the playground. The park is a great place for the neighborhood to come together and usually has plenty of activity. It has also functioned as a great meeting place for our friends. My wishlist would be for child swings, a bathroom facility (rather than port-a-johns), and better upkeep of the softball fields. BUT, the park is pretty great as it is considering the smaller size. I'm grateful to have Warwick Park in our community and I'll continue to use it often! read more

I'm almost afraid to yelp about Warwick Park! It seems like a well-kept secret in the Lyndon area and I hate the thought about it becoming a new hangout instead of the oasis I've found it to be. Tucked away very modestly off of Washburn Ave, there is more than meets the eye at this greenspace. A track of about 0.4 miles surrounds the whole park, which includes a picnic shelter, a playground, and a baseball diamond. The center of the track would be a great place for football, ultimate frisbee, picnics, or anything else requiring a manicured lawn. Refresh yourself at a water fountain at the end furthest from the picnic shelter, and visit the port-a-potties if you took too big of a swig! I've enjoyed coming here lately in the evenings to take the dog for a slow jog around the track and unwind from a long day. Despite its proximity to the highway, I never notice any traffic noise while I'm enjoying the great outdoors here. No matter your hopes for some time outside, Warwick Park will almost certainly have a way to keep you happy! read more

We live around a mile from this park, so it's tempting to go here all the time. It's got a lot going for it. There is a long jogging/walking path wending around the park. And how about the playground? Mainly, I have hung out under the pavilion, eaten burgers, and drank beer while my kids run around like crazy. This is a good, little park for that. read more

Located off of Washburn, by the rail road tracks. Cute little park with a flat, paved 0.43? mile track. The sign says if you do 2.3 laps, that equals 1 mile. This is great for the couple weeks of your couch to 5K efforts, when being able to make it all the way around is kind of a big deal. Your typical 1/4 mile track behind a local high school is a good way to drive yourself slowly insane, in my opinion. Better to find a park that is suited to your current fitness level. If memory serves, they have a couple of street lights - so you can push the limits of their "dawn to dusk" hours a bit when daylight savings isn't quite cooperating yet. Things to distract you while run: Long division - seriously, why a 0.43 mile track? If I've gone around 4 times, how far is that? Play area for the kiddos.
