We came to Wasabi two weeks ago with another couple and sat at one of the hibachi tables. We ordered sushi as well as hibachi and it was without question the freshest sushi I've had on the east coast. The chef was incredibly entertaining and the food delicious. My daughter and her friend met up to have dinner together and they both left with food poisoning. My daughter found uncooked meat that she had to spit out into her napkin. My daughters friend called to complain and they said they BOTH must have eaten elsewhere before they came and brushed it off. They came from separate towns and met up just to have dinner together and both left and got sick at the SAME TIME. This is disgusting... not only that they got food poisoning but because Wasabi didn't take ownership. Expect a long wait on tuesdays as they have 50% off sushi dine in only. Very friendly staff and management. The Chinese and sushi is absolutely delicious. Honestly, I LOVE this place. I used to go to another sushi place but every time I'd go, I'd spend about $60-$80. It was THAT expensive. I eat sushi at least once a week, sometimes twice a week... Sometimes even more. One of my coworkers told me about Wasabi and I decided to try it. Every Tuesday, all of the sushi is half off and they have specials every single day. I spend like $20 and I walk out with a full belly every time and the quality is great every single time. The service is always so well every time I go and I LOVE the birthday celebration they do with the tiger. I'm open to all kinds of sushi, raw, cooked, fish, veggies, etc. I usually always get a shrimp tempura roll, philly, eel, and a special roll (or two hehehe). The Snow White roll is delicious! And anything that says tempura, I have had and I have loved lol. I always get a side of eel sauce (if you haven't tried, please do!) and a side of spicy mayo. Delish! I despise their sister restaurant "Sakura" also on the pike, but I've never had an issue with Wasabi. My food is always fresh and delicious. Just ordered General Tso's Chicken like I always get from here and it tastes like BBQ sauce was poured all over the chicken...gross and unexpected!! My last order a couple of months ago wasn't great either. I'm guessing they got a new chef or something. Disappointed in our purchase and think we will be looking for a new spot. read more

Ordered three sushi rolls for take out, and was told it would take twenty minutes. Showed up thirty minutes later and it still wasn't done, waited another ten inside while they prepared it. Once I got home I realized that they gave me a dipping sauce for Chinese pizza instead of soy sauce and the spicy tuna roll was inedible, absolutely disgusting and I will never return. read more

I went with my wife and two friends. We had hibachi meals. This is the first time for me doing hibachi and found this enjoyable and different. We all enjoyed our meals...me with hibachi salmon...H4 on their menu. We found nothing wrong with the service... I found prices about as expected...our four meals cost just under $100 including tax. read more

I enjoy the good at Wasabi. You have to understand going in the food is not like the average chine else's good restraint. The veggies are very fresh, and they do not use sauces full of sugar and cornstarch. So if you want higher quality Japanese or Chinese food, this is the place for you. This place is about 5 minutes from my boyfriend's house and is always packed on Tuesdays and we came to find out that it's half priced sushi night, so we decided to give it a try. FIRST OF ALL it's dirty in there, SECOND OF ALL the food is terrible and THIRD OF ALL the customer service was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. The food took long to come out. I ordered sushi which was mediocre, also I ordered a Green salad with ginger dressing and the lettuce was bitter and the ginger dressing was amongst the worst I've ever had, and I ordered hibachi which were awful. I always get hibachi noodles at different restaurants and I love them. The hibachi noodles they brought out were dry, little to no flavor, and a bad after taste. I didn't touch the noodles I had one bite and expressed to the waitress nicely that I didn't like them and I'd like them taken off if possible..she huffed and puffed snatched the check book off of our table, rolled her eyes and said be right back! 5 minutes later I guess the "manager" came over and said are you having a problem? I told her and she said oh sorry next time don't order.. can't do anything about it, and didn't take them off of the check. It wasn't even about the taking them off, it was how rude they were to me. I work in the restaurant business and do anything to please my customers and give them an enjoyable meal and experience. I would give zero stars if possible... you can get enjoyable, fresh, half priced sushi daily at Samarai restaurant in Glassboro! Don't waste your money at this place. read more

I have been to Wasbi several times, for both lunch and dinner. I have always had issues with either the staff being blatantly rude, or waiting a long time for food or drink refills (which are not free, btw). I continued to return though, as the selection of sushi is decent especially for the area. On my most recent visit, they had upgraded their POS system and it seemed no one at the establishment knew how to use it. They kept yelling at me to "pay cash, pay cash!!", unfortunately I did not have any cash on me. After about 30 minutes of them playing around with their new system they decided, right then and there, that they were no longer going to accept AMEX. Now, I just want to point out that at that time they had an AMEX sticker on their door, the check books they use to give customers their bill has the AMEX logo on them, and I have always paid with AMEX on my other visits. To make a long story short, the highlights of this experience included being yelled at, being talked about in another language with rude looks from all staff members, them calling their manager who also had no idea how to use their POS system, and them calling the police because I refused to pay my bill even though they had my credit card and refused to give it back. Since this experience I have not, nor will I ever return. I only hope that they have, by now, figured out how to use their new system so other will not have to deal with such an unpleasant experience. read more

We used to frequent Wasabi, dining in & ordering take out up until recently. My husband ordered take out sushi, when he got home we found a long black hair on the sushi. You could clearly see it through the plastic cover of the container. Without opening it, my husband drove back & they apologized, as well as, telling him they would give him new. My husband sat & waited. They gave him a "new batch". He stopped at 1 more store before heading home, something told him to look at the sushi before heading into the store. Sure enough, the same hair was still there. It looked as though the hair was stuck to the inside top of the plastic container. It was not thoroughly re-made as they stated. My husband returned for a 2nd time. We received full credit. Never will we eat at Wasabi again. Note: My husband is bald. read more

I would honestly leave no stars if it was an option. The wait is atrocious. I was charged 18% gratuity for a party of 3 which I normally wouldn't have an issue with this but the service was unbelievably horrendous. I actually had to flag down our waiter not once but twice! TWICE! No one came to see if we were okay or needed anything more. The hostess brought out our food which I will say was good but because of the service I will NEVER go back! My friends salad came out about 20 minutes after mine. My entree came out before her salad! We were seated around the hibachi and literally everyone that was seated at the same time as us ordered, ate, paid, and left before our meals came out. To say this was a disappointing experience is truly an understatement. I would never recommend Wasabi to anyone ever. Unless you want to sit for 2 hours looking around for your waiter I wouldn't recommend this place. It sucked. read more

I love Chinese food I practically live on it but this was Over priced for food that isn't really good. So my favorite Chinese take out place was closed, my family and I decided that we try someplace else. We ended up at wasabi. From the outside the place looked better then most, from the inside it was shocking because it was beautiful. I thought to myself that I really found a gem. But in order to determine whether it was the real deal I had to order the usual. Beef and broccoli, shrimp fried rice no vegetables, a shrimp egg roll and a side of BBQ boneless ribs. Sounds good right. Not really. At most places a combo of the beef and rice would cost 6-7 bucks but wasabi doesn't do combos unless it's lunch time. That meant that the the food I got was all separate. On top of that the food I order couldn't be made the way I liked it meaning if u asked for shrimp fried rice it usually comes wit onions and other stuff I just wanted shrimp and rice but wasabi doesn't do that, they make it the way they like which involves fried egg which is gross. All in all the meal was below standards but I can say the BBQ ribs were the highlight. The meal cost 22.00 which blew my mind. Way to expensive for sub par food. Would strongly recommend you do not give this restaurant your buisness! I have been eating here for years and recently was scammed. The owners also own sakura on the black horse pike in Washington Township (not the chain restaurant "sakura" on cross keys rd). I went to wasabi on a tuesday because they have 50% off sushi as sakura was closed on tuesdays as they have 50% off everyday unlike wasabi. When I got my bill at wasabi it did not seem right, they told me they dont have 50% off special rolls even though they did every time before that. If every special roll was not 50% off than my bill would have been much higher, however if all the rolls where 50% off like they were supposed to be than my bill should have been cheaper. To make a long story short they pick and choose what they want to discount you on to simply rip you off. Like I said i have been eating great sushi at both places for years, but will never go back after what they did. It was simply bad business and very unprofessional. read more
