My dresser and my nightstand were rolled out on a dolly with just a blanket draped over the top -- the entire bottom fully exposed and unprotected. I have photo evidence. This wasn't a mistake. This was how they operate. One of their movers was missing for half the move, and the rest of the crew took 30 minutes to drive across the street. Yes, literally across the street. The level of carelessness and unprofessionalism was beyond anything I've ever experienced. When I confronted them with proof, they first admitted the crew took shortcuts -- then quickly flipped the script and tried to claim that throwing a blanket over a piece of furniture is their "standard practice." That's not a standard -- that's pure negligence, and they had the nerve to defend it. They refused to take accountability. They denied the damage was their fault. And instead of making it right, they offered me a half refund and called it a "goodwill gesture." This company is a scam. They cut corners, gaslight customers, and hide behind empty policies when they're called out. Avoid 801 Moving Company like your furniture depends on it -- because it does. I genuinely have no words to explain how horrific Monument Valley Moving made our moving…read moreexperience. First of all, their Sales manager Todd definitely makes you think you can trust him but that certainly isn't the case at all. He has no idea what he's talking about or he's just blatantly lying to get a sale. He quoted us $2,100 and said we could fit about 20 more boxes if we wanted to with the space we have in the truck and it wouldn't cost much more. We didn't know until the day of when the movers would be there and he hadn't confirmed anything with us. Then the movers arrive and demand $1400 more than what was originally quoted because they said each additional box was an extra $140 (not what we were told at all and that's insane). After arguing for 30 minutes with them they refused to pack our things until we paid and we were left with no choice as we were moving the next day. Todd told us it would take at maximum 3-10 days for delivery, it ended up taking 17 days. In between pick up to delivery, he completed stopped answering my calls and was unable to get any help on the matter at all. When the delivery finally came all boxes were completely destroyed, broken kitchen supplies, broken TV, nothing was protected with packing supplies at all. This has been an experience from hell and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone even if you are on a budget it's not worth it because in the end you will get scammed.

Our experience was incredibly frustrating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. We had a confirmed contract and scheduled move time of 9:00 AM. When that time came and went, no one showed up and we were unable to reach anyone for several hours. Calls went unanswered, messages were ignored, and there was zero communication from the company. After hours of trying to get ahold of someone, we finally received a text message stating they were "trying to find somebody." That alone should have been a major red flag -- a moving company should not be scrambling to find movers at the last minute for a confirmed job. Over six hours late, two gentlemen finally arrived in a rented U-Haul truck. They informed us they were contracted, not actual employees. More concerning, they would not admit if they were licensed, insured, or bonded -- just two individuals who came to move all my items. They wouldn't confirm if they had a company. Even worse, the owner, Alex Coombs, refused to answer calls, blatantly ignored messages, and provided no explanation, no apology, and no communication whatsoever throughout the entire situation. As of today Haula Movers has a C- rating with the BBB due to unanswered complaints. Haula Movers also has several other reviews remarking that they too suffered no shows and an owner that "ghosts" any negative feedback. The owner is affiliated with several other half-baked companies; which have plenty of negative reviews. I first contacted them through Yelp for a quote and got an immediate response with a very fair price and clear, straightforward communication. During my drive I ran into snow, which delayed my arrival, and they were incredibly flexible with adjusting the start time. No hassle, no extra charges, no attitude. When the crew showed up, they got to work immediately and moved fast without cutting corners. They unloaded the entire 26-foot truck, handled heavy equipment, and carried everything upstairs efficiently and carefully. There was zero damage to my home and zero damage to any of my belongings, which is honestly rare enough to be worth mentioning twice. Professional, hardworking, and easy to work with.
