Washing machine broke during the pandemic, and between waiting for repair (not viable) and delivery of new machine, I went here to wash and dry 4 large loads. Very clean, not crowded on weekday morning, and all machines working. Two women working to help self-serve and drop off, and paid for everything when finished with debit card (no quarters!). It's been years since I've been to a laundromat, and experiences before weren't good. This place is very clean, attendants spray carts and folding tables, floors are clean and no lint and trash anywhere. Noticed they do a booming business in bedspreads and comforters ($20) and the workers never stopped washing, folding and packaging drop-off (of course, more expensive but likely worth every penny!). BTW, we all wore masks, there was space to distance, and all got along fine. Nice to treat myself with a frozen slush from Sonic on the way out of the center. read more

I haven't used a laundromat since college (i.e., over 20 years ago) so I was very impressed with this laundromat. The staff was very helpful since I was used to using quarters in the slots and they took the time to show me how to use the washer and dryers. Also, they had free wifi! It was nice to have mutliple loads going and enjoying a clean and comfortable atmosphere. read more

I only wanted to use them while we were moving (2yrs ago) because it was too much to organize the house and take care of ALL the normal duties of the household. I got so spoiled I just continued using them biweekly. The sweet delight in just dropping off your clothes and having them returned clean and neatly folded. I take them on Mondays which is .99/lb. I have never paid more than $40 for a 2 weeks of clothes for 3 people plus towels and sheets. When I just take clothes its no more than $25. I have NEVER encountered unpleasant employees @ WDL! They may not greet you immediately but they are very nice. I had a DIFFICULT time learning how to use the machines when washing our dog beds but they were always helpful. It took at least 3 visits before I learned and each time she had to help me. BTW I have only used the Oakhill location. read more

Before I bought my own washer and dryer I did my laundry at wash Day, The experience is as good as it gets at a laundry mat! Highly recommend! Today my dryer broke and I'm in the process of moving... No time to get it fixed or spend time at the laundry mat. First thought I had was Was 'wash Day does has Wash & fold service!'. My friends use the service there every week and love it! I called and Jamie answered the phone, I could drop off any time until 9pm... Thank you! When I arrived Jamie was so helpful and really went above and beyond as far as customer service goes. I come here because the laundry mat at my apartment is terrible. Usually takes about 2 hours to get it all done with but Wash Day is super clean and there are plenty of washers/dryers. It depends on when you go, but at times it can be busy, and some what irritating (not Wash Day's fault I just dislike people sometimes). Over all, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the facility is clean and up to date. I'm only giving 4 stars because of how hot it can get in there (probably not their fault) but a few extra fans wouldn't hurt! read more

We looked around for a "laundry mat" after our washing machine broke down. Yelp directed me to Wash Day Laundry which was close by. The reviews leaned towards to positive side so we gave it a try. After three visits, I have to agree with the more positive reviews and say this this is probably the best "laundry mats" that I've ever used. A far cry from college days! Each time I went early in the morning. The facility was always clean and there were plenty of machines available. As mentioned, they have wifi (although I didn't use it), a video game, TVs and plenty of seating. They also offer other services that I didn't investigate. One negative that I should mention is their dryers. They're fairly large capacity dryers and apparently that translates into long dry times. You need to insert the money card into the dryers for each 7 minute dry cycle so that's a little annoying as well. We have a new washing machine coming in a few days so this will be my last visit to Wash Day Laundry far a while. But I can't hesitate to recommend it to others. read more

Neat, very clean, and quiet enough for me to read a book. It has stylish rows of sleek industrial washers and dryers. Definitely the nicest of the handful of laundromats I have used. What made Wash Day a definite five-star was the attentive, friendly service I received when I needed it. Nearly as soon as I walked in Jamie, the attendant as well as an owner/manager, noticed me staring at the card machine, dazed and confused from not having used a laundromat in half a decade. He immediately talked me up, found out what I needed (just a quick self-serve wash-and-dry), and told me I could just pay him directly without messing with getting a pay card. Sweet! He walked me over to a washer that exactly fit the amount of laundry I had and used his manager's card to start it; then he rang me up for the wash and the dry. When the the clothes were ready to dry, he pointed me to a dryer which he set up and started after I loaded it. With the number of button presses and settings he chose, I am glad he did it for me. Customer service like this could cover a multitude of minor flaws, but Wash Day didn't even have those in my experience. The service, atmosphere, and cleanliness were all perfect. read more

If your definition of great customer service experience entails extremely terse, defensive, and combative experiences from the store manager, then Wash Day Laundry is the place to go.... I've been a customer (no longer as of last month) of Wash Day Laundry for SIX years; specifically utilizing their personal wash & fold service because of the location and convenience. It's because of said convenience, that I was willing to endure the worst and the MOST atrocious customer service ever experienced and rendered specifically by MARTHA, Store Manager, who has already been mentioned on other negative reviews either by name or anonymously described as an "employee" associated with this particular location in Oakhill. For example, (and there are many), forget about expecting the store to open on time and being greeted with a smile or even an acknowledgement of the customer's time when this happens. Expect to be treated, or rather greeted as a mere irritant and/or an inconvenience by the Manager, MARTHA. Forget about a few shirts the machines appeared to have ruined, because it MUST be because it's your fault. Additionally, expect to be treated with accusations and retaliation by the manager for voicing your concern and/or complaint. The list goes on and on and on...... Some might ask themselves, are the owners aware of the complaints over the years against this particular employee? The answer is YES!!!. Perhaps turning a blind eye outweighs customer service initiatives under their business model of making a profit.... read more

I figured after a year + of using this facility for my laundry that it was about time to write a review. These people are terrific, helpful, - the facility - SPOTLESS. But my special shout out goes to Martha - who apparently manages the floor when the owner isn't there. She is forever being pulled in multiple directions - yet one always feels she has all the time in the world just for you whether it be her helping you figure out a quirky machine or helping you carry an oversized load to your car. AND she does this in perfect English or Spanish. So, kudos to Jamie for hiring Martha - my favorite WashDay employee! read more

This place is GREAT! I dread laundromats but this one is clean, the machines all work and there are plenty of them, and the owner is friendly and helpful. I have a washer and dryer at home but comforters require a large commercial machine. Coming here is totally worth the 30 minute drive from my house. It was empty at 7:00 Sunday morning. I haven't used a laundromat for forever. Then my washing machine broke in the middle of a load and I couldn't get Sears out to repair it for 4 days (but that's another Yelp) . I had heard about Wash Day at lunch for business owners. I called them to see what they could do and they were able to come pick up my laundry ON A SUNDAY, AT MY HOUSE and deliver it back to my home on Monday. First time at Wash Day. When I walked in, a lady came up to me as she could tell I was uncertain. Martha asked me the size of my comforter and then took me to the appropriate machine after I told her it was a queen(4 load machine). She read the label, pushed the buttons on the machine for me, took my cash and brought me change. The room was clean and bright; had a cool temperature and a flat screen TV. read more

Wash Day has been a saving grace for me and my family. We currently are under construction remodeling our kitchen and adding a utility room, so we are without our washer and dryer for several months. Wash Day has been so great to be able to drop off a weeks worth of clothes and then swing by the next day for pick up with clean smelling, nicely folded clothes. What a relief! I have been coming here for months and usually a nice lady, Noemi is here. She is great! Place is always clean and she is so kind and helpful. Today I had the misfortune to have the owners attending the place. First time the place was empty. Usually packed and poor Noemi is running around alone getting it all done because the owners won't let her give people quarters so she has to assist every client and start all of the machines. Today, the one day she is not there, the place was filthy, out of stock of paper towels, but the owner didn't seem to mind as he was just sitting on his butt the whole time. I usually run an errand while my clothes dry and Noemi is so kind that she always says don't worry, I'll take your clothes out of the dryer if need be. Well today the owner did the same, but the one pair of nice jeans I brought with me happen to be missing. Funny thing is that he piled all of my stuff into one basket and all the others jeans were at the bottom except that one pair. I course I ask him about it and he tells me someone else had money stollen as well. He sees that I'm irritated and I tell him I don't think I will come back and instead of trying to keep a loyal customer coming back and perhaps offering a dollar or two off or at least a free dry, he agrees with me as says that he wouldn't come back either! Umm really! Can we say the worst customer service ever! He then doesn't understand why my partner and I are upset!!! Now I should have not left my stuff unattended, I get that, but is seems pretty strange to me that I'm only missing one pair and they happen to be a valuable pair! He claims to be the one that took my things out of the dryer! Needless to say I won't be back! If it wasn't for Noemi keeping that place going, it would be a nasty mess all the time!!! read more

I really wanted to leave 5 stars but one of the employees is so rude and unpleasant I'm leaving 3. She literally vacuumed right under my feet without saying a word and when I tried to excuse myself she just gave me a nasty look. This is the third incident I have had with this same employee being completely inconsiderate and "sassy". It really is a shame because the laundry facility and owner are fantastic... Three stars are always a tough review in opinion.The equiptment here is very nive & well kept, The prices are a bit on the higher side of fair but still fair in my opinion.The only issue I really have with the place is some of the ladies that are currently working there in the daytime. There is usually two there & it seems like they must absolutely HATE there job which seems odd because the owners are actually really nice people.They are very rude.....For example as I type this sitting where I have been for the last 15 minutes one of them (the older heavier one) has pushed a basket over next to me and has intentionally bumped me with it several times. Also while mumbling names at me in spanish instead of either asking me to move or maybe just not being rude.Another example would be about 3 A ago when I observed an upset customer here about the timers on the dryers not being accurate.When he told the lady at the desk (younger one) about the issue she very quickly snapped at him & told him "your wrong! If you dont like it you can leave" He somehow ended up on the phone with the owners.As soon as taZahe man walked out the door the lady started telling me and other customers about how "stupid" he was.I have to say that any time I have ran into employees that seem so comfortable with being so rude to paying customers is usually means the owners either fear the employees or just dont care & usually ending up caring too late when competition moves in (none yet) and takes away all the business.So most likely ill still bring my large blankets here when they need a good washing but will anxiously awate either new daytime employees or a new washateria where they value there customers. read more

This place is great! Jamie is the BEST!! I have't been to a laundromat in years, but found myself suddenly needing one last night. With a full carload, I thought I'd be there in plenty of time to do it all before it closed. Unfortunately, I got caught in the unbelievable downpours of rain that hit on the way, and had to pull off the road 3 times to wait it out. I ended up getting there about 45 mins before closing, but instead of turning me away, Jamie offered me an umbrella, and helped me unload my car. He put my money on my card, while I filled the washers, he started the machines for me......he just did ALL for me, even added my bleach and fabric softener and put the loads in the dryers!! Then he stayed there long enough for my clothes to dry, helped me fold them, and refused to take any tip for all the help and personalized customer service he gave. The whole place, and all the machines are very clean & the machines are big, but more importantly, the friendliness & unbelievable customer service makes the place THE BEST! (as long as Jamie's working, anyway!) read more

The more I go to this place, the more I dislike it. At any given time there is only 1 employee working who speaks English. There is a man and a lady. The man is alright, but the woman is RUDE. She has been rude to me on more than one occassion. Today I was in there and there were two small children running around, running into people and things, and screaming. I watched them run into at least 3 different people, including an elderly man. It was dangerous and I am pretty sure that they were annoying every person there. I asked the lady if she could do something about it and her answer was to shrug her shoulders at me. I get the impression that the children belonged to one of the employees on duty. I have had a few unpleasant experiences at this place, so I think it is time to seek out a different laundromat. read more

Unfortunately i as well have to write a bad review. Actually the only reason i took the time to open an account was to write this review . i had been using Wash Day for two yrs now, even though i now live in NORTH Austin, so it was normally taking me an hour to get there. which i didn't mind i love the laundry mat itself, energy efficient , clean and i don't need cash. my only problem was the attitude of the employee that works there in the after noon, over the two years i have learned to just avoid her reactions. this last week however was the worst service i could have received and i will not be going back. During the two yrs that i have been using this laundry mat i have referred many of my friends here. I can say they will not be back again either. The attendant there in the afternoon does hurry people out at around 7:30 because she has to close. Yes she is extremely nice and does other peoples laundry when they ask for help as long as she determines they are worthy of her assistance. i have had to help several people there that asked for assistance with using the machines , when her response was "Its not my problem" and turned away. i put up with it because the other attendants that i have come in contact with have been very helpful if a machine is not working they will apologize and help you. I got a little of track. This past week i arrived around 6pm to do my laundry had 2 weeks worth of towels jeans sheets comforters, and underclothes. used several dryers so that everything could completely dry. 45mins later everything except the underclothes were dry. the underclothes was still pretty much dripping wet , when i mentioned to the attendent what happened and thast i didnt think the dryer was working well she said , "Just keep moving to another dryer IT"S NOT MY PROBLEM" i asked her then who do i let know that that dryer is not properly working and she repeated "ITS NOT MY PROBLEM". ok at these point i just wanted to leave . i turned around told the person that was with me lets just go i will find a way to dry them at home. When all of the sudden the lady blows up in my face, she starts saying " this is not my laundry mat i am not the owner stop talking to me like that or i am going to ban you and make sure you never come back!" that just about did it for me i told her not to worry about me coming back and i tossed my 2yr old Wash day card in the trash. now i am walking out the laundry mat with my clothes and she is still going of in the back. i am astonished at the entitlement that she feels she has yet she was not able to at least say i am sorry let me see why the dryer is not working or something but for her to completely disrespect me. Never again will i step foot in Wash Day. and thanks to this employees reaction i went out and bought my own washer and dryer. read more
