My experience with Anaiyah was lovely! She was kind, friendly, talented, and professional. Unfortunately, my experience after the appointment was quite different. I gave a 4-star rating on Fresha and was then contacted by Ashley, whom I had never met, asking why I didn't give a 5. I explained honestly that I felt the price was quite high. Ashley proceeded to berate me about how the price was more than fair and also criticized me for being late. I was actually in the building but had difficulty finding the office, which was tucked away in a maze of hallways with no one at the entrance to greet or direct me. If you ask customers for their opinions, you should be prepared to receive honest feedback--even when it isn't exactly what you hoped to hear. The comments Ashley made about my review and my opinion were unnecessary and, in my opinion, extremely unprofessional. I truly wish Anaiyah the best because she was wonderful, but unfortunately, I will not be returning due to Ashley's defensiveness and handling of the situation. I'm looking forward to my next appointment at a much more affordable location. :) read more

If you respect your calendar and want to work with people who respect your time and calendar, do NOT go here. I've been to Wash+Go before and had a wonderful experience, which is why I came back. But this was my first time booking with Ashley, and it was completely horrible. I scheduled an appointment during the work/school day -- not ideal, but I made it work because it was the only slot available. I rearranged meetings, childcare, and my schedule to make it happen. On the day of the appointment, Ashley finally responded to questions I had submitted at the time of booking. She answered, then gave me barely any time to reply before deciding (without confirmation) that I wanted to cancel. I was in a business lunch and didn't see the message right away. When I got out and saw what had happened, I texted back, called, and emailed -- and heard absolutely nothing. No explanation. No apology. Just total silence. This is not how you treat people's time. If you care about professionalism or want to work with people who respect your calendar -- I strongly suggest you go elsewhere. UPDATE based on response - Yes, I had 2 questions: 1) about pricing since the booking with Ashley was $100 more than I was used to (knowing that Arian was a Jr. Stylist vs. Ashley, a Sr. Stylist, makes total sense, I hadn't noticed any leveling); and 2) the other about whether we'd be able to leave with a little braid in the front, something my daughter loved last time (It was an honest / open question, not meant to ask Ashley to go out of her way or do anything she didn't feel comfortable with. That's why I asked it in the comments before the booking to see if she'd be open to it. I did not mean to throw anybody off or trigger a same day cancellation). And a quick note about "going off menu"... Arian, who is wonderful and I'm sorry she's not there, last time we saw her had said she'd show me her braiding techniques, which was agreed upon before I made the booking. It was "off menu" only in the sense that the online booking system did not have a specific braids appointment so she advised me to make a twists appointment and said it was no problem to work on some braids. I just started my transition journey from ironing and bleaching my hair for years to finally embracing my natural curls! I did my research on curls abs how to get them back and then started looking for a salon that knew how to cut textured hair and would be able to drop some knowledge on how to care for it; and lo and behold I find wash+go! I made my appt on the website and went in! As soon as I got there, Ashley was so welcoming! I had to go in with washed dry hair, as it dries naturally and to me my hair was a hot mess, no irons and no products in it. The top of my hair was a slight wave (2b-ish) my under layers were more of a 3b, but she was soooo sweet and immediately even before I walked into the chair, said, "oh you've got great hair" there is a curl pattern'! I was so relieved! She explained so much to me, about protein in your hair, porosity, density, how to wash it, when to wash it, how to dry it, comb it, style it. It was so much fun! Hair is it's own care routine and it's a precious part of us and now I see that. She cut into the hair once noticing my natural pattern then washed, styled it and already my hair was picking up more of a wave! The processed parts are trying their best but she said with time they will catch oN, I just need to nurture them. I found this spot via Yelp and was able to easily book an appointment via their website. After reading all of their reviews and lurking on their IG, I felt safe to try this place out! I've only cut my hair 3x in my entire lifetime but have been searching for a salon that can help me with my curls. This was my first trip to a curly girl salon. I absolutely loved my results. Ashley was so sweet and took her time with my massive hair. I have never felt so confident walking around with my natural curls. She used awesome products that left my hair soft but full and defined. My appointment I booked 2 weeks ago, was cancelled the day of, 3 hrs before my appointment due to me booking a service that my hair is too "difficult" for. My account was charged $35 for a cancellation that she did on her end, thankfully it got declined because I planned on paying her in cash. I've attached pictures to prove that the treatment I got was so unprofessional being that everything that I needed to know about my hair prior to the appointment was told to me the day of. Mind you, we spoke the day before and she asked me questions about my hair that she needed to know. Now when she found out my hair was already colored she could've suggested a reschedule or a different service, but she simply waited till the morning of and cancelled my appointment and insinuated it was my fault. My experience was disappointing. Booked with Ashley because she was the Sr. stylist with 22 years of experience. On the website she says wearing your hair out is all about the cut. So, I was sold. I wanted a curly cut so I could enjoy wearing my hair out. I told her I wanted to keep as much length as possible but take off what' was needed. I wanted her to give my hair shape. After the cut she washed and conditioned with steam. She left briefly and excused herself. she returned with her daughter. They both began detangling my hair with a brushes. It was was so painful. I let her know several times. the side her daughter was combing started to feel knumb. It was the worst detangling experience Ive ever experienced. since she just cut my hair it should have been much easier. I sat in her chair she preceded to put mouse in my hair in section. nothing on my roots so they were puffy. The only definition was at the very ends of my hair. After siting under the dryer my hair looked horrible. In the car I felt my roots and some of my hair was sticking and the strands were stuck together. Hours later they were still sticky. The next day I had to wash out the product she put in my hair. After styling myself, that's when I realized my hair was the same shape I had before the appointment just shorter. I spoke with Ashley about my disappoint with my visit and the end result of my hair. She took zero responsibility for anything. No apologies. She became defensive and blamed me. I suggest you find someone who really knows how to handle all types of hair. Merely having 22 years of experience doesn't make a person a qualified stylist. read more

I have been looking to have my natural curls cut to shape without sacrificing too much length because I often switch hairstyles. More importantly I was in need of someone to give my 4y.o. daughter a salon experience without the pressure to straighten her natural curls. I found all of that and more with Alita. Wash+Go was my first experience at a salon specializing in curly hair and I can't say enough good things about Ashley. It was immediately clear how experienced, knowledgeable, and skilled she is with all types of textured and curly hair and that I could trust her completely to know what to do with my hair (mostly spiral curls). One of the first things she said to me was that she saw my hair's potential.
