This was such a cute and clean hair salon. It is spacious and relaxing. They had these super comfy hair washing chairs that felt like you were laying your head on a pillow. Mia's pricing didn't change thankfully and it was $100 for a long hair cut. Another bonus was there are ample amounts of free parking so it's easy to park and enjoy a spa day. The ambiance was lovely, they also provided a variety of complementary beverages and snacks! The shampoo bowl has a head pillow and they use high-end products that smell and feel great. I definitely recommend the Powder Room and Mia!!

If you want a sharp haircut without spending your entire afternoon in the shop, Bob is definitely your guy. He gets you in and out looking great. The only downside worth mentioning is the cost. Prices creeped up over the years (from $27 to $40 for men's cut), which is a bit of a bummer.

I showed the first stylist multiple reference photos of what I wanted, but she ended up adding a very dark root color to my already lightened hair, which was the complete opposite of the look I asked for. After expressing my concerns, the salon did have another stylist step in to help correct it, which I appreciated, although I waited nearly two hours in between. The second stylist made me feel much more comfortable and did improve the situation, but I still left unhappy with my hair overall. The correction consisted of using a color remover on the roots and applying toner to the rest of my hair, and I was charged $265 for it. At the end of the day, my hair looked better than what the first stylist did but still nowhere near what I originally asked for or envisioned. I'm leaving this review because I think communication and transparency are incredibly important, especially with color services. What upset me most was not just the outcome, but the way the situation was handled overall. I understand that corrections can take time and effort, but if I was going to be charged $265 for a corrective service after my hair was initially mishandled, that should have been clearly communicated to me beforehand. I truly wanted to love this salon and leave feeling taken care of, but unfortunately I left feeling disappointed, uncomfortable, and unhappy with the overall experience.

As you can see in my previous review, I had finally taken the plunge and got a local trim after a friend recommended Vicara at The Point in Manhattan Beach and I guess a couple years later, I'm glad I did. The salon is clean, airy, and generally welcoming (depending who's working the front desk) but the free parking at The Point is a bonus in the South Bay. Every visit I've had has been good - from the shampoo to the cut to the blowout. I savor every second because, honestly, I still feel I am in and out a little too quickly for the price. They use Aveda products, which I love, and I've absolutely spent more money than planned on shampoo and conditioner while I'm there. Every stylist I've had has been good - skilled, friendly, and patient. I think I finally have a regular now, though I forgot her name, despite asking her 10,241,029 questions during my last visit. She answered every single one with patience and kindness. I'll definitely be back...though I still plan on getting my holiday trim in Buffalo :)

CALL Marcy today if you looking for the best hair stylist, work # 562-212-1838. Let me say....Marcy has SAVED my hair. My hair was awful....It would break off when I would blow dry it and I couldn't get it to grow out for the life of me. My hair is dark....almost black naturally and I HATE it. I personally just gave up on the idea of having beautiful hair. I moved to the Southbay about a year and a half ago and was recommended to call Marcy through a neighbor. First off I want to say Marcy is adorable, you can tell she has that artistic personality and has the eye for style. Marcy took her time and gave me her recommendations on how to help my hair grow out. Long story short....a year later my hair is a very beautiful and natural shade of blonde and its growing long! You would never know when meeting me that my hair isn't naturally blonde. Marcy is detail oriented and has the right recommendations for healthy, beautiful, and stylish hair. I recently moved to LA from Turkey, and Turkey is known for some of the finest hair dressers in the world, so I had creme de la creme experience so far with my hairdresser back home. So when I came to LA, I needed to find me a decent place to cut my hair. I first found out about Randt through Yelp, while I was searching for a mens haircut salon for my boyfriend. He gave it a try and was head over heals with both his new haircut and Shannon herself. So I decided to book an appointment with her as well to put an end to my long boredom with my long hair. She was so lovely, cool but also sincere and down to earth with everything. My hair is not easy to style, to layer and to get in shape at all and she made it look very easy, that's how skillful she is. It was a complete make over for me, and to be honest, I was nervous to leave it to some strangers hands after a lifelong loyalty to my hairdresser back in Turkey, but I couldn't have been more satisfied and left the place feeling happy. Thank goodness for yelp, this is how I found Shannon at Randt Salon in the first place! I used to get my hair cut at a very fancy salon in West Hollywood (for a very fancy price) before deciding I needed a change. I had long assumed that you get what you pay for, i.e. my haircut must be good because of the price tag even if I was never completely satisfied. I have thick wavy hair that needs a lot of taming and shaping and Shannon gave me the first haircut ever that I was truly, truly happy with. Not only is she talented, she really listens to what you want and works around your lifestyle; I'll never blow dry my hair so Shannon makes sure my cut can air dry and still look great. I love being able to book, reschedule or cancel appointments on the website, so much easier than calling a salon receptionist. I absolutely love Randt Salon, I won't go anywhere else to get my hair cut, colored or blow dried. I have been going to Randt for 5 years and have Marcy Villa do my hair. She is amazing. I naturally am a very dark brunette so initially I thought going lighter was going to be very difficult. I was nervous because usually people's hair after going lighter looks very dead and has a brassy tone. After going to Randt Salon, my hair turned out exactly how I wanted and I didn't have to compromise the health of my hair. Not only was the hair color and cut perfect, Marcy is a pleasure to be around. She is so personable and kind. From then on I only trust Marcy around my hair, I refuse to let anyone else touch it. Wow, what a great experience. I had my highlights and haircut done by Shannon ... I couldn't be happier. I wanted a pale blonde. And a healthy trim. And not too much off. The salon is clean , it's modern and cozy. I was offered water and chocolate, the essentials. Shannon was on time -and time conscious. There were current magazines to read, but I spent more time chatting with Shannon who is extremely easy to talk to. That said- She's also got her craft down. I felt fully at ease and I knew the minute I walked in, guided by Yelp, I found my new salon. Parking is a little tricky so leave enough time. I think next time I will visit a dog grooming salon before stepping foot back in this shop of horrors. My first experience with this place was in January. How bad was the haircut?well, it took 4 months for it to grow out. I asked for a military haircut, parted on the side. The easiest cut to do, hands down. I believe in second chances though, but after recent experience, if you want a haircut straight out of dumb and dumber, this is the place to go. How can you have hair touching the ear on one side and 1/2 inch over the ear on the other? Without a doubt, the worst place to get your hair done in California. Paige was awesome from the start during my first texts to her for scheduling a consultation. I went in to see her and she instantly expressed concern for my badly damaged and over processed hair. She was kind enough to go to a supply store the next day and get me the products I needed to start taking better care of my hair. I followed her instructions for a couple weeks before coming in for a cut and color to go more blonde. She was quick which was refreshing and definitely got me on my way to a more bright blonde that I've been trying to reach for ages. I moved into the South Bay area a couple years ago and have been searching for a good stylist since. I discovered Shannon on Yelp and was thrilled with the result. My hair presents a few challenges the way it grows and I tend to wear it a bit longer. Shannon listened to what I wanted style-wise and the problems I've had with my hair. Shannon from Randt salon did my hair for my wedding and it turned out amazingly! I don't live in the area so I came in the weekend before and she did my highlights which turned out exactly how I wanted them. Upon moving, I needed a new "barber." A friend recommended Shannon, the owner of Randt Salon, so I decided to give her a try. I had some pictures that my former cutter took upon completion of our final cut together. My hair is wavy and I like to wear it a bit long, so this wasn't a mere buzz cut. I'm a few months short of 80 and haven't had my hair professionally cut for at least 25 years. Based on the Yelp reviews, I took a chance on Shannon at Randt. I took in pictures of the hairstyle I hoped to have. To my amazement, Shannon gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and made the whole experience very pleasant and relaxing (at a quite reasonable price). To her credit, she was able to arrange for another stylist, Erik to take the appointment so I would not have to reschedule. She even booked the replacement appointment on my behalf. Before the appointment, I specifically asked Rachel to have the new stylist honor the price she had quoted me. She assured me that she would pass along that information to the new stylist. When it came time to pay, I was shocked to learn that Erik charged approximately 40% more than the original quoted price. At no point before or during the appointment was I informed that his pricing was different, despite my explicit request that the original quote be honored. Had I been told upfront about the higher price, I could have made an informed decision before proceeding. Instead, I only found out after the service was completed and payment was due. The lack of transparency regarding pricing left me feeling misled and frustrated. I understand that different stylists may have different rates, but clear communication about pricing changes is essential, especially when an appointment is reassigned by the salon at the last minute. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression.

I left feeling deflated and doubting what I had originally wanted to do with my hair. Overall, this was an incredibly disappointing encounter, especially considering how many great stylists there are in the South Bay. Try someone else at the salon who has a better attitude.

When you walk in, there is tons of natural light and all doors and windows are open so it's nice and breezy. The setup is nice too and super clean and organized. Anastasia is so great with my girls. She's super sweet and very friendly and personable. Easy to talk to. She wore a mask the entire time and was incredibly professional. We were here for a long period of time 10am-1pm and the patio was perfect for the kids to sit outside and do their school work while we waited around for their Nana to finish. The space was nice and we honestly didn't mind hanging out here. Made the day go by quickly. Since Anastasia was also a hustler, she was able to squeeze me in for a quick trim and even had time to curl my hair. Man, so good!!! So, if you're looking for a hairstylist...I would highly recommend Anastasia. She's so great and I loved her whole energy. It was so nice talking with her all day about kids, work, life and such. Thanks for everything Anastasia and thank you sooooooo much for making this appt happen for us!!! We really appreciate your time and effort.

The salon location/view is lovely. Very relaxing vibe. Brittany herself was so easy to talk to, and understood exactly what I was going for without me even needing to show any pictures. She was thorough and I could tell she is really experienced. I felt very comfortable putting my hair in her hands. I remember going in that day for the first time feeling like I wasn't in a very social mood. But I ended up having such a pleasant and effortless conversation with Brittany! My hair looked amazing when I left, and everyone around me commented that it looked so much healthier in the days and weeks afterwards. I've tried several salons in the South Bay over the years but I definitely want to stick with Brittany at Salon Del Mar!

Obnoxious and Unaccommodating…read more I'm a local for 30 years in the South Bay. I usually get my hair cut at Joseph Martin or Christophe in Beverly Hills. It so happens today, I'm just not in the mood to drive up town. It's already 2 o'clock in the afternoon. So, I got on line and search for local hair salon. I came up on this place and something about it appealed to me. At the time, I saw there were about 5-6 stylists on their website, so maybe 1 is in between appointments that would squeeze me in, It could happen. So I got to the Salon and it felt very unwelcoming. No greetings, nothing as I stood there. First of all, there were only 2 customers in there, and it looks like 2 stylists and one was the owner. He finally looked at me and asked what I need. I said I need a haircut, and there was a big pause and then he went to say he's booked. That's ok, but then the reluctance in offering any kind of service or remedy was so apparent. By the way, where are the rest of the stylists? hmmm. I stood there, unmoved, and he went on to say it will be a while. I'm thinking maybe later today or? but nothing came forth. So I had to ask, A while meaning later today or what are we looking at? he said he's booked for 6 weeks out, without offering to schedule me for another visit, maybe even with another stylist. He just simply turned me away. That's a first. Even if you go to the most posh hair salons in Beverly Hills, no one is ever booked out 6 weeks, especially looking around at this hole in the wall, not likely. Seems more like there's a stench of discrimination. He then suggest I should go upstairs to another salon and see if there's any availability. No thanks, I didn't ask. I would never again give it a second thought.
