This was hands down the best hair experience I've ever had, and I will absolutely be telling everyone about it. What made it even more special was that it was my daughter's very first haircut. Amber cut her hair and was absolutely wonderful. She truly listened to what I wanted and was so patient, gentle, and thoughtful with my daughter, making the entire experience calm, positive, and memorable for both of us. 1 Star I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was too concerning not to share. I had a very upsetting experience here. I came in because the blonde parts of my hair had turned slightly pink from a conditioner I used. The stylist looked at my hair and then asked the owner what to do. The owner never actually examined my hair herself but instructed him to apply a treatment to remove the pink tone. After the treatment, my hair became extremely knotted. While he was washing my hair, I asked if the treatment could damage it and he assured me everything was fine. However, once I sat down and started brushing it, my hair began falling out in large knots. This has never happened to my hair before not even when it has been bleached. I immediately asked for the owner to come look at it. When she did, she dismissed it and said the hair falling out was "normal." This absolutely did not feel normal. My hair was coming out in clumps and felt severely damaged. The situation then became even more uncomfortable. I felt blamed for the issue as she said this was something I came in with, but that wasn't the case. My hair was fine prior to the treatment. I was also accused of not wanting to pay, even though I had never refused payment. At one point the police were mentioned, which was shocking considering I had simply asked them to look at what had happened to my hair. When I tried to take a photo of the hair that had fallen out, the owner took it away so I couldn't photograph it after I mentioned I planned to leave a review. Instead of trying to resolve the situation, I felt I was rushed out of the salon. I was told I still had to pay, which I was willing to do, but then she refused to take my payment and asked me to leave. My hair was still wet and not even fully brushed out when I left. The owner also stood extremely close to me during the conversation, which felt very uncomfortable and intimidating. Overall this experience felt very unprofessional and upsetting. I came in hoping to fix a small tone issue and left with damaged hair and a very negative experience. read more

What a gem this salon is! I loved how warm and cozy the whole experience felt. My stylist, Jayda was incredible and very sweet. She cut my hair perfectly and without much direction, she just instinctively knew what would look good on me. She also did an Oi Butter hair treatment which my hair really needed and I loved it. The owner, Karen is such a sweet and kind soul. You can tell she really loves what she does and her clients and is doing everything with heart. I love that she uses only eco-friendly and cruelty-free products and carries Davines, one of my favorite clean beauty brands.You can really tell the difference in your hair without all those harsh chemicals and scents. I went to this salon specifically because it was rated five stars. It had 131 reviews, so, I figured if that many people rated it five stars... it must be pretty good. For some reason, it now only has 129 reviews. I don't know what that's about. Anyways, I had really high hopes for this salon. My intention to write a review is never to be mean or vicious but I do try to be as honest as possible. I really wish that this review went differently, but I have to give my truthful experience. It was my first time in this salon. Nani was the one who worked on my hair and I was disappointed with both the outcome and price. To make a long story short - I explicitly told her I wanted BROWN hair, not black hair, and what I got was jet black hair. It is SO dark but she assured me the color was going to lighten up in a few weeks. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt... It's been some time now and it's still very black! I was also a little peeved about the price. I had asked Nani ahead of time how much everything was going to cost and it, of course, ended up being more than what she had originally stated. I really wish that salons (in general) would stay with the price they start out with. I could have said something and perhaps I should have but at this point I just wanted to leave. Parking was $8.50 (for metered parking) and all in all... it was a pretty expensive afternoon that was a bit of a let down. I felt that Nani's work was sloppy, rushed, and not thorough. Also, she dropped the comb on the floor and just picked it up without sanitizing it nor washing it ... she just continued to use it. I was going to wash my hair again later on anyways, but, especially with COVID, I would hope that she would at least wash it/ sanitize it before she proceeded to use it OR she could have used a different one that didn't fall on the floor. It just says a lot about the salon and their guidelines, which didn't sit well with me. AND I found out later that night, that the back of my shirt was stained from the dye. Out of all the times I've gotten my hair done, never have I ever had a hairstylist stain my clothes! This just goes back to her doing a rushed job that she didn't even properly put the hair salon cape on. read more

I live in Murrieta. I've searched high and low for someone who is trained and qualified to do the American Wave. There aren't many in CA, surprisingly. So glad I came across Jaime. She was fast, efficient, and doesn't try to push products on you - which actually made me want to buy product because she is great. She's my kind of stylist too. Social and professional, but not super talkative which allows me to enjoy the salon experience. I've never seen anyone work so quickly with perms. We went short with a lot of beautiful texture along with a deep conditioning repair treatment that I didn't realize I really needed for my blonde hair. I went earlier and I initially went it for a gloss because I had just got my hair done elsewhere and I just didn't like the tone of my blonde everything else was good except for the tone . So when I got there Helen said in order for me to be the tone of blonde I wanted, she needed to bleach my hair again. Which I found kinda sus but she sounded like she knew what she was talking about so I trusted her. She was really nice and made me feel comfortable. I thought everything was going well until she washed the bleach off. I did right away notice some orange but I was trying to trust the process. Once she applies the toner and washes it off, I still see some orange in there. I initially expressed how I didn't want any warm in my blonde. I've never had to do 2 sessions to go blonde I always lift well. Especially if she was just "touching up" some pieces. She starts to dry my hair and it was still orange. I expressed how I didn't like that. She said well we would have to schedule another session -_- at this point I'm already calling BS if you aren't capable of doing what I asked, I would have appreciated if she would have been honest. She never expressed that I would have orange in my hair. Like I said I've never had trouble lifting. I asked her why didn't she leave the bleach on for longer she didn't say anything. She continued to blame the previous blonde I had in there. If you're licensed and I'm paying $330 Im expecting you to know what to do. Anyways she continues to blow dry my hair and as I'm walking out the salon in natural light I realized it was much more orange than what i saw inside the salon AND I had to go back to ask her to finish blow drying it. It was still wet. I believe she intentionally did this so that I wouldn't see all the patches in my hair. I'm super disappointed. I'm not exaggerating when I say I cried in my car. Everyone was really nice and I thought I had finally found a great hair guru but I was absolutely wrong. I don't usually write negative reviews but I feel absolutely played. If you decide to go here please make sure they can deliver the results you want. My bday is today and I was expecting to have beautiful blonde hair. Also the light in these pictures doesn't do justice to show how orange and patchy it really is UPDATE : I went in yesterday because I was sad about my hair, Karen the owner of the salon greeted me at the door. I showed her my concerns. At first I was scared to go in bc of my previous review but she was soo kind and helpful. Let me add that all of her staff is so nice ! We both believe that there was a miscommunication with the previous person who did my hair. Karen was clear about how my hair would come out and she didn't over promise anything but she out did herself. She fixed the patches and harsh band at the root. I left so happy. I started coming here after a few not so awesome experiences elsewhere. I looked through everyone's bios on their site and decided to go with Kevin because of his credentials. Let me tell you - I was blown away (pun intended) by the quality and artistry. I especially appreciated that he totally understood the "vibe" I was going for.
