I started using this laundromat when it first opened years ago. I stopped using it when I saw a flock of baby roaches run out from under a step stool that I picked up. Due to the laundromat I currently use being closed unexpectedly, I went back to Wash Rite. Yuck! Its dirtier than it was the last time I was there. I was greeted with "We are closing" from the attendant event though I was there two hours before the posted closing date. Followed by "Just kidding" and laughter. Dork. There is a layer of dust on the walls above the dryers, and the buttons that start the machines are filthy. Although this has nothing to do directly with clean clothes, its a reflection on how the laundromat is run. If you don't care about roaches, grime and dust, this place may be acceptable to you, but I find it disgusting. read more

A man got stabbed with a knife on Wednesday morning at this laundromat. Something needs to be done about this. The police and others in city government need to do their job. Other than that, it is affordable because it is not cashless and the owner tries to be funny. There are anti-Asian attitudes among some of the non-Asian customers. read more

Trustworthy laundromat kept spotless, with plenty of machines for self service and wash and fold services. Washing machines of various sizes, 30 min each, starting at $2.75. Dryer is 5 min per quarter. Very affordable, and like every laundromat in the city, cash only. They have a coin dispenser and a quarter-based detergent dispenser for those who forget to bring theirs. Most importantly, extremely kind and honest staff who deal with a lot and are gracious in spite of some horrible people I've seen them deal with. Owner Armando is a gem. 100% recommend. Last wash is at 7 pm, place closes at 9 pm. read more

As far as laundry goes, these guys are okay. And by that, I mean drop off laundry. As a standard laundromat, they're more than adequate. They once shrunk a sweater of mine. Other than that, I've never had a problem. They have recently begun trying to sell people on next day service for drop off if it's dropped off after 10 AM. Regardless of how much they've got stacked up. You can usually negotiate with them for a late pick up and then walk in early to find it already done but don't even bother if you dropped off after noon. Their dry cleaning service is excellent. I've dropped shirts and suits off with them for years with no problems and always a reasonable price. read more

I've had several shirts dry cleaned, returned with buttons missing. Staff refused to fix this issue. Today, I picked up a shirt that was dropped off for dry cleaning. They had to resend the shirt back because of a stain. This shirt was to be used for an interview, but given their mistake, I was unable to wear this shirt. They still had the audacity to charge me for the shirt despite being a regular. WORST SERVICE. TERRIBLE DRY CLEANING. UNRELIABLE SERVICE. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT GO! Years ago I used this place for drop-off, but I stopped coming because they weren't doing a good job. Today I needed to was something in a machine so I came in. I don't understand why the place is so dirty. I don't need to eat off the floor, but if I drop something, I don't want it to have dirt and hair all over it when I pick it up. This laundromat AKA Wash Rite does a great job for self-service as well as less than a day turnaround for laundry that is dropped off. They do 7 pounds for $7, and if you tip them once or twice, they will give you a $2 or $3 discount any time after that when you come in. They are very friendly, although I would suggest giving your own detergent to work with...the detergent that they use doesn't smell as nice and leaves your clothes a little dry. They are not friendly at all. I actually don't like knowing that I have to go there but it's the closest place to my apartment. Their hours are good because they close really late and are open on Sundays but those are the only good things. Prices are not great, they don't take credit cards, and they will nickel and dime you every time, they won't ever let you get away with not pay two cents so you don't have to have 98 cents of loose change in your pocket. Avoid at all cost. Very bad location for your laundry. Very rude person. He has made my clothes dry clean late every time. I tried to give this place several chances but each time I got disappointment. All the times I see that soil was still staying on the clothes and spots were still visible after dry cleaning. He is probably just ironing the clothes. The latest problem was that he ripped off my suit from various places and provided me no solution. He took the negative approach by shouting and stating that the suit was like this itself when I dropped the suit for dry cleaning. Rather than trying to retain the customer by providing "some" service he was angry and annoying all the time. I will not give my business to this person any more. Stay away from Wash Wrong Laundromat. 1stly, there are four or five different laundromats that are in the vicinity, and based on the other reviews to this place, I wouldn't trust them to clean my dirty rags. My personal experience was that I submitted my suit pants to these guys, and a week later, went to pick it up and the hemming was out. Of course, I didn't notice till I got to work, and my co-workers pointed it out. I submitted the pants back to them to fix, and they did some shit job that involved two stitches. I was skeptical, but decided to give it a shot. It went out after about 45 seconds of wear. I came back, and they said they would fix it. Note, I haven't been able to use these pants for three weeks at this point. They told me there was a 10-day turn around! That's absurd. I got it back 10-days later and they try to charge me $10 for fixing the hemming?!?! I yelled at the guy, took my pants and left. During this time, I was told by the people there to go elsewhere to send my laundry. Terrible customer service. I have many complaints about this place. At one point, they took another suit pants, and I came back a week later, and they hadn't washed it because their factory had turned it away. If you can't wash my shit, then tell me you can't in a timely manner, and dont try to charge me for it. I wouldn't wish the Wash Wrong experience on my worst enemy. I know that it may be tempting to go to this place because their prices are on the lower end. Don't do it. They do a shit job, and you can feel the difference in your dry cleaning that this is a shit institution. read more

I go there for dry cleaning. It's cheaper than most places I've found in the village and LES. And they do a pretty decent job I think. No complaints. And they're friendly. They don't use a computer so if you lose your ticket you're screwed. But Im pretty happy to have found them overall. They're my first choice for dry cleaning services. read more

I literally never write reviews, but felt like I needed to for this place. My existing wash and fold service on 2nd avenue just closed and I've been hesitant to try a new place because, well, you really never know. Well, I liked everything about this place up until I got home and took my clothes out of the bag - they smell awful. Not only is there no hint of a detergent scent, they actively smell bad enough that I had to spray everything with febreeze (and will likely end up re-washing). No matter how nice the people were and how nicely my clothes were packaged, I will definitely not be coming back here. read more

I have been a customer since they opened and this establishment has always been friendly, professional and best of all very affordable--approximately $20 for 22-24 lbs of laundry. If you choose to use the coin-op machines, go at odd times--people do monopolize ten machines or more at a time. You're not saving much money by doing your own laundry as the drop off prices are such a deal. Dry cleaning fees are also good--$8 for a winter coat, $3.50 a blouse. read more

I have only done drop off at one other place in EV since moving here. It was over a $1 per pound and my clothes came back faded and smelled a little musty. After that I started doing my own at the same place. Still the machines never seemed to really get my clothes clean and it ended up costing about the same plus spending about an hr and half there. Found this place all thanks to Yelp and I LOVE IT! They did an amazing job! Nothing is faded! It all has definitely been washed and dried and not at a high temperature (yes I can tell the difference). Plus I dropped of 20 pounds and it was under $20 dollars. From now on I will walk the extra block to drop off here! The hours are amazing, it is very clean, and they are EXTREMELY friendly. Not sure if I will try anywhere else, this might just be my perfect neighborhood laundromat. :D read more

I went to this place in search for a better laundromat than my current one. I walked in and asked the person at the desk who I can speak to about holding business accounts (to wash white towels for my salon on a daily basis). The person abruptly cut me off and said "no accounts, what business? cash only." I wasn't sure if they understood my question since they answered so brashly and English wasn't their first language, so I asked again in simpler terms and the person gave me another dirty look, just shook their head, grabbed my bag, and rudely told me "no" again, and screamed "YOU PAY CASH ONLY" obviously just trying to sweep me out of there. Despite this awkward encounter, I decided to still leave my towels there to see if they would do a better job than my current laundromat. I returned next day and upon checkout asked them to re-weigh my bag since when I brought the towels in they were wet. I was told by the attendant that I have to tell them its wet when I drop off, and they cannot make a price adjustment because I didn't do this when I walked in "first day"(I wish she had told me that that clearly...but that was the intended message). I patiently explained to them that I wasn't aware of their protocol, and at other laundromats I am billed after my laundry is dry. We went back and forth a couple of times, I asked to speak to a manager, she was very reluctant to call for this person. Eventually a man/manager? came out, the situation was explained to him, and he smiled at me and said "Ok, we'll charge the price of your dry clothes." I was thankful my situation made sense to him. I paid my bill, walked out, and will certainly never return. Their machines and facilities look clean and I'm sure if you don't have to interact with anyone or pose any questions you'll be fine. read more
