I have been coming here for two years and it's probably the best laundromat I've ever been to. Flat screen tv's, free wifi, play area for kids, vending machines, free coffee and instead Of having to drag your change around they use a card system! Seating is limited though and they just expanded the parking lot so that's good. Weekends are always really busy so id come on a weekday. read more

Clean business, friendly staff. They can be extremely busy depending on what day and time you go, I'm trying to find the right slot to avoid that but so far haven't. It's not just the customers but it's staff taking up a lot of washer and dryers doing customers' laundry for them and Machines that are broken down that makes it difficult sometimes to find open machines. My washing machine is waiting on repair and the last time I used a laundromat I needed a roll of quarters! This was the best experience I have ever had washing my clothing. I put my detergent in the wrong compartment, I told the attendant, I think her name was Laura ( let it be tee-shirt) she was so helpful. She rinsed the soap out so that the soap wouldn't drop in the spin cycle. Then she kept on checking in to make sure everything was working ok and gave me some tips on using the large machines and dryers since I told her I had never been before. Soo helpful and unbelievably nice. I will recommend and certainly go back if I ever have problems with my machines. Thank again for making this experience pleasant! read more

Also from out of state and adjusting to apartment living, but I had a futon cover I spilled coffee on! Washatopia is 9mi away from where I live, but Google helps with timing your visit at less busy times. The attendant, John was extremely helpful, explained the process and made me feel like I came to the right place. I imagine it could get loud at peak times with polished concrete floors and a metal ceiling - but it's airy, pleasant smelling, windows all around, free coffee and wi-fi! UPDATE 2015-04-05: I've had my laundry dropped off to be washed multiple times, and the price is comparable to washing it yourself. Yes, it costs a little more, but instead of me spending $40-60 to do my stuff myself, and spend many more hours doing it, I spend $55-75 to have free time...and I loathe doing laundry. They even nicely fold my difficult queen-sized sheets, which have the top sheet's edge sewn to the bottom sheet, and I've never been able to fold well or quickly, let alone for those sheets. SIDE NOTE...you can either leave your own detergent/softener, or if they have enough requests or you bring your own often enough (I take one huge load about once a month, and sometimes add on things like comfortors), they will buy your preferred detergent and mark it in their system for your laundry to use that detergent and/or fabric softener. The staff has helped me with questions like "about how much of this specific detergent should I use for this load" and "do you think this is overloaded". They're great. ORIGINAL REVIEW: There are HUGE washers here. It may be a bit more expensive (maybe 5-10%?) than laundromat that take quarters, but the cleanliness and non-sketchiness of this place (only saw normal-looking people here) is worth it. I don't drink coffee, but they have free coffee and free wifi. The staff here is incredibly friendly and willing to help. I bugged her about 6 or 7 times in a short period, and she was always friendly, even though she was the only one on duty, busy doing loads of laundry. I was concerned that since these are washers I'm unfamiliar with, I may not have added enough detergent...she even helped me out with a second opinion and smelled my clean clothes for me. read more

This is a way better than normal place to wash your clothes. Vending machines and a mostly clean bathroom are a big plus. A big negative is the very tight and small parking lot. They have someone that works here, wnich seems to limit people stealing clothes. read more

This laundromat is probably the most convenient and well kept laundromat I have been to. Having change on hand is not necessary seeing as they offer cards that carry a balance for you. This leaves you with the opportunity to load your balance by using credit, debit, or cash. The facility was kept really clean and there are a variety of machines based on your needs. I needed to wash a king-size comforter which I've never done, always had them dry cleaned. I was completely lost going into Washatopia, had no idea coins were no longer used, etc. The person on staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I was obviously lost and struggling and she explained the card system (you load dollars onto a card which you then use to buy the time on the washers and dryers). Not only did she help me personally with the washer but also with the dryer. I hadn't had breakfast yet that morning and kindly offered me a free breakfast taco. The facility is very clean, orderly and well lit. The restrooms is clean and fresh. I was extremely impressed with the entire experience. There just aren't many people that are willing to help you these days like the kind employee did while I was there. I would recommend this place 1000 times over. read more

Fantastic. I dropped off a huge amount of laundry after my washer broke and it was finished in less time than expected. My clothes were either hung or neatly folded and smelled great! After two great experiences with the wash and fold service at Washatopia, I was on my way to becoming an evangelist for the place. Drop off your laundry and get it back laundered, dried, folded or on hangers for $1.50 a pound? Yes, please. That's a perfect service for a busy working mom. Unfortunately, laundry is one of those things that's either totally done or not done, and when I came to pick up my three big bags of laundry this afternoon, it wasn't done. I had to wait a few minutes to find this out, though, because for a while the attendants couldn't find my laundry, even after I pointed out the bags that looked like mine and held what looked like my stuff. Finally I asked them to check those bags again and yep, they were mine. All still dirty. One of the employees--who said she runs the place, although she's not the person pictured as the owner on Yelp--offered to turn them around by 8PM, which was nice but too late for me to pick up. I ended up getting a refund and three bags of dirty laundry back to try to get done before this evening. It seems like they could benefit from a better system to tag, track, and schedule their wash and fold items so they're done on time and easy to locate quickly. It's a great service--when it works. But I need a consistently reliable laundry service. read more

I went there today 01/06 for the first time. It had been AGES since I've been at a Laundromat! so long in fact, they don't use coins anymore! I had to laugh cuz I needed the Gal and Guy that were there, to help me! they were soooo Cool and funny! and of course helpful! I give them a BIG thumbs up as well as the place. tons of machines, dryers, it was clean and you could watch the tube while doing your Laundry. I will definitely be back. This place makes doing laundry worth while. It is by far the cleanest laundry mat I have visited. Staff is AMAZING! One woman in particular goes the extra mile for her customers ( which upsets me at the fact I can not remember her name) The fist day I walked in unsure of the place due to the fact I had not visited a laundry mat in a long time she explained the new up to date technology, and gave us a personal tour showing us the differences in the washers and prices. She also let us know in advance that the water had a softener in it already. They serve free coffee with free wi if. The woman also always has a smile on no matter what. The washatopia is nice to visit because we can do multiple loads at once. They also offer drop off services where for a small fee they will switch the loads over, dry and fold for you. I would recommend this place to anyone. I never do laundry at home anymore :) read more

I love this place. I can't ever recall wanting to go to the laundromat, but this place doesn't feel like a laundromat. The staff is really nice, and with the free wifi, and new lcd tv's on the wall, it feels more like a coffee shop of sorts. I used to hate going to the laundromat, not because of the clothes, but because of how dirty I felt after leaving the laundromat. Washatopia changed that. I just came here to do laundry for the first time and I went to put money in my card and they don't take credit cards. I went to ask if there's another way to do it because I don't have cash the rude woman said no but there's a ATM two blocks away or something, and I could go there and use the ATM when I've already hauled all my laundry into the laundry mat. read more

I need to begin with the fact that I never take the time to write a review for a business. I stumbled upon Washatopia when I was exhausted from sick kids and was up running load after load of wash that was NEVER ending!! I found Washatopia on yelp and read some reviews about the services and how clean the facility was so I ventured out early the next morning. When I arrived the facility was VERY clean and nice. I have never operated coin machines and did not have to here either. I was able to buy a card to use in the machine and the extra money at the end was cashed back to me. Laura was on staff and I guess could see my "deer in the headlights" expression. She explained to me the use of the machines and how to get started. Laura even helped me to realize that I could wash fewer loads by using the larger machine and saved me $$ as well. Wait-it gets better! I needed to get to a doctors appointment and was able to leave my card with Laura and she moved my items from washer to dryer while I was gone. I returned after my appointments and errands to ALL laundry washed and dried. They have nice large tables and I was able to fold all my laundry in no time and was on my way. I would utilize their services if I lived closer on a weekly basis since it was such a huge time saver. Thank you Laura for your help and patience showing me how to use the machines!! I think it is extremely unprofessional to confront another employee while they are with customers working and accuse them of stealing a tip. I LOVE Washatopia. I drop of comforters and quilts all the time and Laura takes GREAT care of everything!!! She even managed to get some old animal stains out of a black and white comforter without fading the black at all! She works miracles for me! I've been a regular customer at this washateria for 3 years and have yet to find a problem as I return weekly. I see that are a few reviews with bitter words to say about this establishment and it's quite shocking to me. I understand where some people may stand with maybe having a bad day, but some people just need to find something better to do other than giving those who haven't been here yet, the wrong impression. The employees are always nice and quite knowledgable about the pricing to where they save you time and money because the pricing can get a bit confusing. All in all, I definitely give this place of business a five star rating. I've never been to another washateria where everything is as clean this place. read more

I had been using the laundry mat on duval. I moved to Anderson mill and several of the neighbors told me about washatopia so I went over there to do my cloths. I walked in to the surprise that it was very cleans, cool and just s general comforting atmosphere. I was greeted by the staff and she told me about the wash card and explained how everything.
