Their customer service is so poor once there is a mistake. They lost my belt that is a part of my coat, which could not be worn without it. I knew for a fact that the belt was attached via buttons when I dropped it off. The lady at the cleaners denied there was a belt because she didn't write it down on the receipt! Just bc she didn't note it doesn't mean there was no belt! I continued to call to check but they either didn't answer my call or put me on hold indefinitely. Finally, they found the belt and said it was in the external shop that actually does the dry-cleaning. She offered me to have the next item drycleaned for free but I definitely did not go back after this very poor experience.

But this review is about the "wash and fold" services the store offers. I dropped off a queen bedspread and a sleeping bag one morning around 9:30am. I picked them up that night before 6pm and was charged about $15 each, which was the price I was quoted on the phone. No problem there. My complaint comes from the fact that, when I picked up the items, the job was NOT finished. When I got home and took the items out of their bags, I noticed that something wasn't right. The queen bedspread was fine; it looked cleaner and smelled very vaguely of soap. But the sleeping bag, which had been zipped up and folded, was not dry! I unzipped the bag and found that the entire inside of the sleeping bag was WET! I had to hang the unzipped sleeping bag on a clothes line for a couple days to allow it to dry completely. Maybe it's just me, but I thought "wash and fold" services included washing, DRYING, and folding. I'm glad I inspected the items when I got home. If I had just thrown the sleeping bag in a corner, I would have gotten a very moldy surprise the next time I needed that sleeping bag. Just a heads up. Everyone at the store seems very friendly, but maybe they're not that concerned about doing the job right. I'll probably try another "wash and fold" place next time. No sense paying $15 for a service that isn't fully provided.

So, I have one of those laundry sorters with the drop in/removable bags (each bag has 4 fabric tabs…read moreand 2 poles that slide into the tabs to hang). It's pretty old, so the stitching on a few of the bags has come undone. One tore away and the fabric had a 1/2" rip. I don't have a working sewing machine, and even if I did - my skills are super limited. I needed a tailor. I ended up at Julia Cleaners by mistake, actually, when I was headed to another cleaners/tailor and got turned around. Julia Cleaners is newly owned by a Korean woman. She speaks English, so there's no language barrier. The only thing that made me a little nervous was that she wouldn't keep the little pole that goes into the bags. I wanted to make sure that, after sewn, the poles could still be slid in/out. #notaeuphamism Results: The owner not only re-sewed the bags, but she did an excellent job! I can't even identify which one of the fabric tabs had the rip, which is insane to me! I also really liked that they're an eco-friendly/organic dry cleaner. That alone is causing me to bookmark them for the future, since I'm pregnant and don't want myself nor Baby around unnecessary chemicals. Total win for Julia Cleaners - I'm so glad I stumbled upon them!

I said yes, I wrote about my experience, your husband apologized in writing through someone I presume to be a friend of his, and I am here to try again. Out of nowhere, the husband came out and said, "a bad review hurts my business." And I agreed and said that it was truthful, you were aware of my dissatisfaction and you apologized after seeing the review right? I shared my experience and that good and bad experiences should be shared with others. After having this discussion and feeling the tension in the air, I left without service. While I also found this hilarious, I left feeling heard despite having expressed those same sentiments in the store before the review was first written. No one cared until it was shared with others. But in any event, they took it as a lesson learned.
